You cannot tackle all those without investing in infrastructures that raise the values of land and bring in investments that will give jobs to Nigerians. Disney World alone is the highest employer of labor in Florida. While I understand the sentiment around Landmark, it is not Disney, and we can produce many Landmarks with this Coastal Road.

My guess...Tinubu Govt hired consultants who told them what needed to be done ASAP to transform the country, and this must have been one of them. The pace they are going with this road is unprecedented. I know they also plan to move stuff from the PH refinery along this road, and with the rail, they can transport Petroleum products.

It is also a great alternative, so they can divert traffic to the new road to repair the old ones. One of our problems in Nigeria is trying to repair roads still in use. We need alternate routes if we plan to be like the West.

Good you mention unemployment. Do you know infrastructure is one of the ways to create employment?

Think about it. We are constructing the road with cement which is sourced locally. That’s employment on its own as the cement companies will make use of raw materials sourced locally and you’ve given money back to those guys. Also, constitution companies will have to recruit thousands of workers directly or indirectly. Those corridors, people selling goods will sprang up up to those selling ordinary pure water and economic activities will boom in that corridor. Then when the road reach some level, real estate will start booming up and people will open new businesses across that corridor. Thats massive employment on its own.

I am not abusing you for throwing blame as I also understand Nigeria currently is hard and people are going through a lot.

But even while crying, you should be able to see. The coastal road is not the reason for hunger. The lack of it won’t suddenly make you rich in 3 month.

Most of you guys are just fighting the fight of the elite. All this noise about coastal road only started due to Landmark. Same landmark where common man can’t even go there to enjoy the sight of the beach without paying massively to even sit down.

99% of people arguing against this coastal road don’t even know why. It’s just bandwagon.

Yes, government focuses on multiple projects at once. It’s only someone myopic that will think one project need to stop before another can proceed.

You can never have 100% smooth road in Nigeria, it’s impossible. So while some break down and government engage in fixing those, it does not stop them from opening new frontiers and creating new roads from scratch.

As we speak now, Umahi is working on multiple federal government project at once. So I don’t understand the useless noise from people about this specific one.

That’s Bellow embezzling almost $1m for his kid school fees. Tinubu can choose to just steal money for Chagoury and nobody will know or question him. But rather than do that, he embarked on a project and people still comparing because of bitter politics.

I see why most government don’t take the citizen serious.

I didn't mention palliative, you did.. there are various ways to tackle poverty, first make the country safe for farmers, largely the food hike in prices stems from low drop in farming activities compared to years ago.

This is the kind of shallow thinking that you get from Nigeria's so called "educated" youths then you wonder why the country if fvcked up.
