If you want Ambode out because he has failed. Why do you want Buhari who has even failed more to be reelected? So simple Because Buhari has been able to safe Nigeria from the mess of pdp for 16years |
Education › Re: Nigerian Oil Firm To Construct $.8m Schools In South Sudan by yazach: 5:31am On Oct 01, 2018 |
dipoolowoo: By Dipo Olowookere
An oil company owned by Nigerian businessman, Mr Arthur Eze, Oranto Petroleum Ltd, is planning to build two schools in South Sudan.
Already, the firm has completed the award of the contract for the construction of two primary schools to be located in Yirol and Rumbek, two communities located in central South Sudan and northwest of Juba, the country’s capital.
Estimated at over $800,000, the project for the construction of the schools will be executed by local construction company Dynamic Supplies and Construction Limited, in line with Oranto’s policy to significantly engage local human and material resources in all its activities in the Republic of South Sudan.
“We are delighted to be working with such an investor as Oranto in the development of South Sudan’s oil sector,” said Petroleum Minister, Mr Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth. “Oranto has proven to be a reliable partner, committed to support both the growth of South Sudan’s local content and the socio-economic development of our communities.”
The construction of the state-of-the-art schools signals a further boost to value addition to the people of South Sudan from their oil and gas resources as championed by Oranto, against the backdrop of the various peace initiatives being embarked upon by the Government of South Sudan.
“The construction of these two schools is a reflection of Oranto’s engagement to invest in social infrastructure in all areas where we operate in Africa,” declared Prince Arthur Eze, Founder and Executive Chairman of Oranto Petroleum. “Oil has to benefit all citizens and education is key to development. We are only going to see true peace and development in Africa when we leave no child behind and continue to invest in our human resources. I am thankful that I have been blessed and I have a chance to bless others.”
Oranto signed its EPSA with the Ministry of Petroleum in March 2017, committing to the development of the 24,415-square kilometre acreage.
Following a competitive tender process, geophysical specialist BGP was selected to perform an airborne gravity and magnetic survey of the contract area, Block B3.
Oranto completed data acquisition on Block B3 in the second quarter of 2017 and is currently in the data interpretation stage. The block is believed to be highly prospective, with productive parts of the Muglad Basin to the northwest and estimated reserves in place of more than 3 billion barrels of oil.

stephenduru: God works in a miraculous way. History is made as Mrs Ruth Onyekachi Buzugbe of Okpe - Abavo Ika South of Delta State was delivered of quadruplets at the Federal Medical Centre ( FMC),saba.
The lucky father is a jobless graduate with nothing to take care of the children. Feeding and accommodation are already a huge challenge. Mr Onyekachi while speaking with newsmen was filled with mixed feelings as he seems confused on how to handle the new responsibility considering his near zero financial status. Welled up in tears he thanked God for the rare gift calling on well- to - do individuals and government to come to his aid.
"I am overwhelmed, please highly spirited people should come to my help, accommodating these kids in my one room apartment, feeding and medications are already telling on my family - my joblessness wouldn't help the situation, please I need assistance urgently, " he pleaded.

Zogo2019: With the margin of win between APC and PDP in Osun and Ekiti Governorship elections, I can authoritatively state that APC and PDP will be neck to neck in the Southwest in the 2019 presidential election.
Now PDP needs to fied in someone with just some percentage of acceptability in the North, they don't need someone that will defeat Buhari but just garner some percentage of votes, to reduce the Margin in North West and North East.
Then South South and South East is totally for PDP.

Politics › Re: FG Revives 18 Fertiliser Blending Plants – FEPSAN by yazach: 5:53am On Sep 26, 2018 |
Mrakeli: Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria (FEPSAN) says 18 fertiliser blending plants across the country have been revived under the Presidential Fertiliser Initiative (PFI) introduced by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
The President of FEPSAN, Mr Thomas Etuh, who said this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Tuesday, stressed that the resuscitated plants were now operational.
He recalled that only six, out of the 32 fertiliser blending plants existing in the country, were functional at inception of the Buhari-administration in 2015.
“We then had six fertiliser plants working at 10 per cent capacity but with the introduction of PFI, we moved to 11 plants in the first phase and today, 18 out of the 32 plants are engaged in this programme.
“At the end of last year’s season, we closed with 12 fertiliser blending plants because WACOT Limited, in collaboration with the Edo State Government, added one plant to the 11 we had in the first phase.
“About five plants are being evaluated to meet up the standards before we enlist them, and I can also tell you that because of this programme, we have five new fertiliser blending plants being set up in the country.
“We have one each in Zamfara, Ajaokuta in Kogi, Akwa-Ibom and Funtua in Katsina State, while the one in Kaduna is at the point of inauguration.
“The plants in Ajaokuta (Kogi) and Zamfara should come live by the end of the year, while that of Funtua in Katsina State might come up by first quarter of next year (2019).
“So, I think these new five plants should be up and running by the first quarter of next year,’’ he added.
Etuh said that Nigeria would soon be reckoned with in area of fertiliser production, considering the amount of money that was invested in the industry in the last three years.
He added that Nigeria would soon be an exporter of NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium) fertiliser.
“About 63 per cent of the raw materials are locally available in the country; the materials are produced by some companies.
“We have limestone granules with calcium produced by West African Fertiliser Company in Okpela; we have the Urea produced by INDORAMA and NOTORE in Onne, Rivers State.
“So, I know that in the next two to three years, Aliko Dangote’s fertiliser plant will start production and other are also coming up. Currently, Nigeria is a net exporter of Urea-based fertiliser.
“With the Aliko plant coming on board and INDORAMA increasing to a second line, we will be producing about 7 million tonnes of fertiliser. About 70 per cent of the fertiliser would be for exports, while the remaining 30 per cent would be used within the country,’’ he said.
Etuh, who is also a PFI committee member, said that FEPSAN was working hard to ensure that every farmer cluster had a blending plant to ease product transportation costs and facilitate a reduction in fertiliser prices.
He said that the fertiliser blending plants in Niger and Plateau were to service states in the North Central geopolitical zone, while the fertiliser plants in Lagos were to cater for states in the South West and South East zones, as well as Kwara which as in the North Central zone.
“The whole idea is to get people to build plants around a cluster so that it helps with cost of transportation to achieve that price target we are looking at,” he added
