gidgiddy: Doesnt it look strange to you that a Yoruba man who was the most senior officer in Nigeria at the time, and should have been president, only got support from an Igbo in the East? Lol... Audio support from an obscure police station in the remotest part of Onitsha . Ojukwu was aptly described by his father in- law. Go figure ! |

itsme01: first its not called President as it is not democracy, secondly he got support from his friends and not from the East, because even Soldiers in Lagos from Eastern Origin refused to follow him when he wanted them to trace Aguiyi to Ibadan, all of them shrugged and never wanted to fight even for Aguiyi.. If Ojukwu was serious he would had lead atleast several battalion straight through Ore to Lagos and then Ibadan to fight Northerners but instead he barely picked up the phone to call Ogundipe for Ogundipe to single handedly match to Radio Nigeria which was the most secured part of Lagos with soldiers crawling every inch and to just walk up and announce himself to Nigerians that he is the new head of state after he must have used his bare hands to fight all the soldiers stationed at radio Nigeria as chuck noris that he is
Abeg this issue is about common sense, a bank is being robbed and you want the most senior DPO to walk alone when his boys aint following him straight to the bank and kick the robbers out, because his friend Ojukwu from Enugu phoned him to do so? does it sound reasonable Ojukwu was in an obscure police station in Onitsha not Enugu actually ...The coward was hiding there . See goodygoody abi wetin be the op name dey make mouth over 50 years after ..Typical Ibo coward |

Btw is Abia not in Nigeria? Your state is California in comparison abi. Electricity all day, good police, no SARS, no unemployed youths wandering the streets. Little to no government corruption n things function as they should.
So which state is this you're from? I already have a passport I'd love to visit to see this marvel Why would any sane human want to go live in that pigsty called Abia to start with |

gidgiddy: A coup does not succeed unless the administration surrenders.
Dimka conducted a coup and killed the head of state, Murtala Mohammed. Others like Danjuma and Babangida rallied and fouled the coup
Orkah conducted a coup against Babangida, his deputy Abacha fought back and the coup did not succeed
Gowon and his fellow Northerners conducted a coup, even though Ogundipe was receiving support from people like Ojukwu, he could not rise up and do anything
The point of this thread is that when a Yoruba man was to be president, it was an Igbo man who came to his support rather than the Yoruba nation who were comfortable to have their Regional Governor slaughtered and their most senior officer chased away, just because it was Northerners Leemao... Receiving support from Ojukwu that was hiding in a police station himself Get real bro !!! Get a proper book and stop regurgitating propaganda from radio Biafravd . The coups of the 1960s were purely tribal . Igbos in January 1966 and a return fixture by the Abokis in July 1966. So , don't compare with Dimka and Orkar . By the way, Dimka and Orkar didn't succeed because they didn't have the numbers and were from the minority tribes . Use your tongue to count your teeth ! Your ignorant rant changes nothing actually . Going by your pseudo- logic , are Yorubas weak for not killing and maiming yeebos for killing Akintola, Ademulegun and his pregnant wife and Ralph Sodeinde too |

unbitchable: foolish people... First, there's nothing like "President" in the military era. Ogundipe never participated in the coup, Ojukwu never participated in the coup. How dare Ojukwu, a non coup player ask another non coup player to assume the seat of power without the permission of the coupists?. Both Ojukwu and Ogundipe were military men, so they understand the rules of engagement in a coup. The coup was purely a northern coup and their intentions was as clear as daylight. A coup is not a superiority contest whereby the most senior assume the seat of power. Every head of States was a Mastermind of a coup, Ogundipe was never one and cannot make himself a head of state without the coup plotters who had seized all the machinery of government. This was exactly how Ojukwu pushed millions of ibos into their untimely death. God bless you . I don't know what kinda education those folks across the Niger have sef . How a whole region can only boast of mo.rons with single digit IQs beats me all the time . |

Dedetwo: Only a fool would believe the free education crap. The people in western region were so humanly taxed that few were able to send their wards to the secondary. The so-called free education was fraud. All so-called investments were converted into personal properties. Who let this senile loser out of the sanatorium. ? My parents who grew up in the village enjoyed the free education during the premiership of Awolowo in the defunct Western region. Stop Lying . I know you are suffering from dementia and have probably lost count of history . Oodua investment is still alive and one of my uncles works there in a management position . You are nothing both a low life senile oaf . Stop lying like it's an Oxygen for your survival !! |

MelesZenawi: Cowards are forever cowards.
Ogundipe is not different.
If it is like backstabbing, betrayal....they will take first position....Lol My Aboki friend pretending to be Osu Jew. Stop lying . You know your Fulani people are the cowards .They attack old women and men in their huts in the middle of the night. Now to the op, The op is nothing but a tissue of lie. By the way , immediately after the counter coup in July 1966, the cantekerous coward osu Jew Ojukwu ran away from the regional headquarter in Enugu to go hide in Onitsha in a police station. He was scared for his life and rightly so because the majority of rifle wielding soldiers in the Eastern region were of Northern origin . I'm surprised my fellow Osu Muslim brother from Anambra that opened this thread wanted Ogundepo whose orders were being flatly rejected by rank and file Northern soldiers in the immediate aftermath of the counter coup to assume leadership of a military that had lost it and was headed for the rocks . And in fact Aguiyi Ironsi was still missing coupled with the fact that the Northern officers had wholly succeeded with their counter coup and were chanting Araba in anticipation for their secession from Nigeria . It's shameful my fellow Igbo Muslim brothers would want Ogundepo to assume leadership in such circumstances . Lastly , if Azikwe and NCNC had agreed with Awolowo/Enahoro/AG to insert a secession clause during the constitutional conference in London , the coup my fellow Igbo Muslims, Jews and Christian organized in January 1966 wouldn't have been necessary . And Yes, the ethnic purging where we took out only the millitary and political leaders of Yoruba and Fulani was a case of greed taken too far by my Igbo people . We call others cowards but the whole world knows my Igbo tribe is filled with wrapper tying spineless half men . Idiagbon came back voluntary from Saudi to face the coup plotters when he could have remained there to enjoy his freedom . Abiola and Obasanjo also came back to face the dreaded Abacha when they could have remained outside to save their necks . Civilians like Abraham Adesanya and other noble Yoruba men were at the fore front of the struggle for the return of democracy during the cursed Abacha led military junta. Our history as Igbo on the other hand is replete with back stabbers, snakes in human skin as well spineless wrapper tying sissies . Examples include Ojukwu ( an absolute disgrace to every Y chromosome carrying being ) , Nnamdi Kanu , Nnamdi Azikwe and Athur Nzeribe . Conclusively , Igbos are the cause of the current failed status of Nigeria. They derailed our nacent democracy in January 1966 and led us to a needless war that we are yet to recover from till date. |

Why is this thread quiet like this. Are my fellow Ibo Muslims confused because their favourite Kperogi alluded to the fact that the lifeless one truly has a certificate or because he claimed that Bayelsa judgement was a miscarriage of justice Back to the topic , I really pity the Bayelsa APC guy tho. It's just like banning me for writing Igbo Muslims as Ibo Muslims or Igbo Muslims ... I'm sure that would be unjust and unfair |
