^Sharrap there, I know you have no honour so objectivity is far beyond you. I attacked your person and so you abuse my parents and thats cool? You crossed a line in directing coarse abuse at my parents and OMAJE had NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to let you off the hook without an apology or as little as a trace of remorse, the rules are clear on that and thats exactly the point I tried to make in switching my name with his. I didnt direct any abuse at him or his parents, I only put him in my place to see how it felt, the words were entirely yours and I and OMAJE only swapped places, I challenge him or anyone to unhide those posts and if they in anyway show me as the aggressor, I'll apologise unreservedly. As for taking my complaints to the Supermods, you mind dropping a number I can reach them on? Surely, they are barred from viewing this thread arent they? Whatever ban you've gotten from Seun, u deserve, I do not troll nor command the disgust you do so stop comparing myself with you Ol' man. |

^I insulted his parents? Like really I did? In whose words if I may ask? If they were insultive enough to have me banned then why on earth are you still walking free consdering the same words directed at my parents on that thread stayed for at least 24hrs (and I only modified it to occupy OMAJE's name after he let you off with a warning and left your abusive post unhid even though he hid our much lesser banter) . I used the Report to Mod button - nothing was done, followed it up with a complaint on this section, copy pasted your abusive post before he showed up only to let you off! Was I supposed to be pleased considering the offensive post was left unhid while banters were hidden, the offender was let off the hook showing no sort of remorse? The minute he was in my shoe, he hid the post and followed it up with a ban! Now whats that called if not hypocrisy? If you had any honour, even you would admit he got it wrong through and through. |

Sibrah: Oga yelsew80 take am easy oh, you mean we should be celebrating this kind of service delivery when there is so much room for improvement? It is a positive thing in its self but then i think the trains should be used to support cargo movement and not humans. Nigerians deserve more irrespective of how many years we have been without trains and under who's govt we are experiencing the mini-revival of ous trains, afterall same fed govt is in charge of Fed inter-state roads and we all know the story. Since when did "deserve" mean anything? Do you know where I "deserve" to be now? What is wrong with you? Do you know better about rail transport than the writer of that piece? Did the writer deny the discomfort and inadequacies of the system? I dont have time to skool you abeg. 5 Likes |

Wesley80 Banned For "Insults" by OMAJE4 Ban Expires 2:22 Feb 11 2013 Who exactly did I insult? Both my parents were abused by GarriGbawe(x7) but he still roams free and I get banned for "insults" cos I drew your attention to his post? What on earth is wrong with you? Are you a child or are you a child? How do you justify such unbelievably abysmal level of judgement? This is personal isnt it? Can you even try to justify banning me and letting the villain walk free? Can you even make an attempt in the name of all that's sane? |

Reading this, you can easily see why Nigerians are Nigeria's worse enemies. A N'lder @bilms did the Lagos - Ilorin trip and concluded the rail transformation is a failure because the coaches were overloaded and had nothing but raps for the govt that restored a rail route that had been comatose for decades - he bought a 2nd class ticket and expected to have a Swiss - rail treat in a country of over 150m with 80% poverty rate in a rail system that saves almost three quarters of every users transport cost including his! Ambassador Bilms, God is watching you in 3D. 21 Likes |
Culture / Re: ''ogbenyeanu'': Igbo Nairalanders, What's Your Take On This Name? by yelsew80: 4:18pm On Feb 10, 2013 |
ifyalways: Its prolly that low cos it hasnt been reviewed in a long long time. A hundred naira in my native tongue is called "ofu akpa ego" literally, it means "one sack of money" so perhaps you'll appreciate the wisdom of those that demanded "hafutoro" (hope it makes some sense to some of you) as bride price back in the days. |

Lollllllllll, that's my elder sisters name. When we were kids, we only called her "Ogbey-anu" out of mischief and you dare not stand even if you only mouthed it! It wa s her GrandPa's given name allright but She preferred the smoother "Ada". During a burial in the family a few weeks ago, my uncle calling her "Ogbey-anu" generated raucous laughter from everyone present, needless to say, that name is already in the shelf, not even her husband knew her name "was" Ogbey-anu! We always interpreted the name as "poor people dont listen" but your interpretation seems more appropriate. Its a normal name in Aboh - Delta state (of course its Wesley80) though not very common. Its getting rarer to see people bare such deep names and others like Akalribe, Ejechi, Okpubilri, Emede etc. The name has absolutely no implication in my part of the country as far as I and my sister know. |
