Yes they will pay tax but not on all 801k,the tax they will pay is on any amount above 800k, because under the tax bills, this problem has been addressed, as everyone will be eligible to the first tax-free bracket.

I hope you understand now.

😂

3m is not enough to run a family of 5 in Nigeria based on current reality

Asking people to pay tax on any amount after 800k is like going after people's life

3m is 250k per month

250k can't feed, pay rent, miscellaneous, transport for a family of 5

66750 earner will pay tax

Yes or No?

The problem with most us Nigerians is that we don't get all our facts right before we conclude and start commenting on any issue.

Anyone who is truly want to get the fact about this new tax regime should watch this video.

https://www.facebook.com/otokinie/videos/1757617328450455/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

From the video, the man talked about the fuel surcharged that it will be use for transport this & that, tell me how the CNG buses distributed to states has reduced transport fare. FG removed fuel subsidy n claimed to have given free kits to commercial buses but how many commercial buses have you seen on the road running on CNG? How many country's pays stamp duty on every deposit? The man never addressed taxing someone earning 801k per annum or someone earning 801k per annum is a high income earner?

Maybe you explain to better

Day169:
Well said, bro but I think Nigerians, being who we are, will become more cunning in their ways in an attempt to evade tax.
While the struggling masses may enjoy some form of tax relief, the thought of high earners parting ways with a significant portion of their earnings will push them to device ways to evade the payments.
Moreso with a largely corrupt civil service, the tax officers will become kings seeking ways to aid and manipulate payments for kick backs.
.. anyway we shall see as 2026 is around the corner.

So many small businesses will collapse, there I'll be less of jobs

Some were struggling to survive already and asking them for tax will kill them completely

How does 801k per year tagged as high income? 801k per year is not up to 3k per day whereas 3k naira cannot feed a grown up adult for a day

Government promised us good roads, electricity & so many things when they removed the fuel subsidy saying that the money wasted on fuel subsidy will be utilized to provide these amenities, my question is where are these amenities? What has changed for the better since removal of fuel subsidy for over 2years?

Life expectancy is very shortened in this country because the government policies is killing the masses. Lots of Nigerians cannot afford to eat a balanced diet once in a week.
