Education / The Truth About 2018 Jamb Expo And Answer by YhungPablo(m): 3:03pm On Feb 20, 2018
Jamb examination body will block evey means anyone might want to use to carry out malpractices in 2018 jamb examination.

As an educational website, we don’t encourage candidates to depend on expo because the success rate is less than 1%.

Many websites out there will defraud many innocent candidates of their money in their pursuit for jamb expo and Answer.

To be on a safe zone..do not pay anyone for expo, read your book and hope for the best. All CBT centre will be equipped with Camera and any form of malpractices will be denied. Moreso, it’s very easy for a fraudster to type fake Answers and then send to candidates which will result to immediate and certain Failure.

Please share this information with others.

Education / How To Know If You Are Qualified For JAMB Mock Exam, 2018 by YhungPablo(m): 11:08am On Feb 20, 2018
Since the announcement of the Mock examination date , many candidates have been asking how they would know if they are to partake in the mock examination. Some are even asking how they would register for the mock examination.
I will take a little time to explain that so it will be clear to you. There are two ways to know if you are qualified for the JAMB Mock examination.

1. If you indicated interest to partake in the mock examination during UTME Registration: To qualify for the mock examination, candidates must have indicated interest on that during the UTME registration. If you did not indicate interest to partake in the mock examination while you were registering for 2018 UTME, it means you are not qualified to partake in the mock examination.

2. If you are able to print your JAMB Mock exam slip or if JAMB sends you mock exam schedule: JAMB will soon notify candidates about their mock exam venue and time via emails or Phone numbers or ask candidates to visit the portal and print out their mock exam slip. So if you happen not to receive any mock exam schedule notification from JAMB or if you are not able to print your mock exam schedule when it is time for that, you are simply NOT qualified to partake in the mock exam.

Please note that the date for printing of mock exam schedule has not been announced and JAMB has not started sending mock exam schedule to candidates. We will inform you when that begins.

I believe with this clarification it won’t be hard for you to figure out if you are qualified for the mock exam or not.

cocacola, nestle, uac foods, 7up, OK foods, gsk, NAFDAC, Promasidor, Guinness, wamco foods, erisco foods, dufil, the list is just endless. These food industries and agencies employ students from that department... Only foolish youths underrate Agriculture.

2. Education courses are relatively gaining some grounds now, particularly SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (MATHS, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, BASIC SCIENCE, etc) EDUCATION. For teachers, higher degrees and working location are the main factors that brings more cash. Education / 5 Most Underrated Courses In Nigerian Tertiary Institutions by YhungPablo(m): 12:54pm On Feb 18, 2018
There have been series of arguments
about the superiority of some courses
in Nigerian Tertiary institutions: some
students feel their course of study is
more important and special than
others. Don’t worry, I’m not here to
bore you with my opinion about that-
maybe I will put that forward another
day.
Some courses, students or departments
in our schools have been facing this
inferiority tag. Because of this, some
lose interest in their course or
ashamed but we still have the proud
ones who don’t care. I still don’t know
what people see wrong with these
courses that they tend to underrate but
here is the list:
The 5 Most Underrated Courses in
Nigerian Tertiary Institutions are

1. History
People don’t just see reasons why
someone will go and spend four years
or more to study past events. History
students are always tagged archaic;
their discussions and studies are
always based on passed dates and
events. You might be tempted to feel
superior to someone who all what he
has to offer is events that happened
even before Christ (BC) in this 21st
century.

2. Agriculture
Agriculture students are popularly
called “farmers”. I don’t know why
people look down on this course?
Maybe because you always see them in
campus with farming tools and in their
farm. I am sure others undermine
them because they are naive about the
fortune they can make with the
knowledge of the course. People are
going back to Agriculture and
embracing it daily, so I believe this
should be out of this list soon.

3. Nigerian Languages
“Hey babe! What Course are you
studying in school?” and her reply was
“Yoruba Language”. My friend bursted
into laughter telling me why didn’t she
just go to a typical village and mingle
with the villagers to learn their
language, instead of coming to school.
Students studying Nigerian Languages
faces this downgrade almost every day
in school.

4. Education Courses
Because of the poor treatments being
accoladed to teachers in Nigeria,
students studying any education course
are degraded-students see them as
another “suffer head” teacher to be.
They have forgotten that without
teachers, they won’t be where they are
presently and we now have successful
teachers making it big.

5. Zoology/Botany
Zoology and Botany are different
branches of Biology and what they do
is to study plants and animals. Because
zoology is related with “Zoo”, other
students assumes all the students
studying it will end up in the Zoo.

Education / How To Stay Safe In The University’s Off Campus As A Fresher by YhungPablo(m): 12:17pm On Feb 18, 2018
How To Stay Safe In The University’s Off
Campus As A Fresher

As a new student planning to resume school
any time soon, you must have started
thinking of where to reside in school. Or let
me say, you are completely confused on
whether to stay in the school’s hostel or to
live outside the school (Off Campus).
You might have heard of many students
talking about of how they enjoyed staying
off campus, and I think this is tempting you
to staying off-campus as well. To be honest,
if you know your ways, living off-campus
do come with wonderful experiences. To
some students, off campus gives them
freedom from campus rules and regulations.
I believed you must have heard of how
terrible some school hostels could look like,
how noisy and how completely the
students’ ways of life are been regulated by
the school authority. Despite all these, there
are good reasons why you should never live
off campus as a new student.
Inspite of all the discouragement with
regards to staying off campus as a new
student, there are some unavoidable
reasons why you may need to stay in off
campus. Such as:

1) Hostel Apartment Is Not Enough.
2) School Hostel Is Too expensive.
3) Your school Don’t Operate Student Hostel
At All and
4) Many Other Reasons
Reasons Why I Write This Post
Whatever the reason that could make you
decided on staying off campus, the aim of
this blog post is to tell you how to stay safe
in the University of Campus. I will use this
post to tell you the major things you needed
to do and consider for you to stay secured
in off campus and perform well
academically.
How to stay safe living University’s off
campus As A New Student
Since you’ve decided to stay off campus,
your security is now your responsibility.
Your security is very important and most of
the tips will talk more of your security.
Ready?
Ok! Let Go…

1) Get Your Apartment Close To School:
When I gained admission Into University Of
Ilorin, I started by staying with my aunty
in a very distanced place to school. Most
times, I would have to wake up and start
going to school around 6am, and in most
cases, I never come back home till around
8pm. It was really stressful.
If you don’t want stress to disturb your
academic performance, you just have to
rent an apartment very close to the school
gate where you can easily get cab to the
campus and come back. That was what I
later do, and was helpful.

2) Get The Best Roommate: Most times,
freshers in desperation for an apartment
outside the school do pair themselves with
unknown bad students who will later
corrupt them. Don’t be too desperate to get
an apartment or renting a room with
someone you don’t know in anyway.
Atleast, if you must rent house with
someone you never know before, take some
times to monitor them and know how they
behave. This will safe you the stress of
fighting and complaining when you started
living together with a wayward students.

3) Rent A Comfortable Apartment With
Basic Amenities: While I was in school, I’ve
seen students living in an apartment
without toilet, water, fence or light. They
were lured into making payment by the
landlord who promised to provide those
things but never does.
Therefore, you have to be very careful in
your selection of where you want to rent.
Make sure you know the kind of students
living in that house, so that one day you
will not be affected if they start their cult
war. Or when police come to raid the
apartment. Get an apartment close to the
main road, its likely to be occupied by good
and responsible students.

4) Don’t Be A Loner: Always develop the
attitude of good neighborliness.
Communicate with other students who are
living around you. Don’t brag or over look
others no matter how rich your parents are.
You never can tell when you will urgently
need their help. Make sure you don’t
always walk alone to avoid been ambushed
and injured. Report had it that most of the
students who walk alone do have a high
probability of been rubbed or raped. Make
sure you have the emergency security
number of your school.

5) Don’t : Don’t smoke in your bedroom, you
must not sleep with candles lit, don’t
overload electrical outlets in your
apartment, don’t keep bad off campus
friends and make sure you get all the
necessary things you needed for school as a
new student.
With these tips, I hope you will be safe
staying off campus.
All the best.

Education / How To Easily Gain Admission Into Nigerian Tertiary Institutions – Helpful Tips by YhungPablo(m): 11:52am On Feb 18, 2018
I have been writing JAMB for the pass five (5) years now without scoring more than 202/400. I want to study accounting at the University of Lagos. My parents are no longer interested in my education since they are now tired of my constant failure in JAMB. My peers now see me as an unserious person who has no plan for her life. I am now thinking of getting married to my five months old fiancée’ who wants to marry me. But due to my university plans, I have been saying no to him. Please, I am not getting any younger, so tell me: is there any easy way to gain admission in Nigeria?

Seriously, that could be you saying these words. But I tell you, if the story of the girl above resonates with your present circumstance, then that circumstance is about to change for the better.
Admission in Nigeria is getting harder by the year and this even has great consequences for those who are still looking for admission since they are greeted with the ever increasing figures of both new and old competitors every year.
Now, to the question: is there any easy way to gain admission in Nigeria?

Well, to be true to you, there are no easy ways to get admitted in Nigeria. Yes! As frustrating that may sound, we cannot hide from the obvious truth – admission in Nigeria is not easy. Thousands leading to the millions of candidates register for JAMB every year and this figure keeps increasing, and the admission spaces are limited.

The only thing you can do is to ease the process by observing some rules which if followed and believed in, it could help you get admitted into that tertiary institution of your dream. That is what this article is all about – to provide those rules for you to follow and help you ease the process to admission success.

In the 2012/2013 admission process, 1,503,889 candidates registered for JAMB and according to NUC, only 500,000 of these 1.5 million candidates were tipped to gain admission into the various Nigerian tertiary institutions. Now tell me, what will then happen to the remaining 1,003,889 candidates, with many of them qualified for admission? Sit for JAMB again and probably suffer the same fate, year in, year out?

Or get involved in examination malpractice to save them some shame, time, and money? The truth is that, these questions can only be answered correctly by those candidates not awarded admission and nobody else, not even me; I just help with the process of answering these questions. Ok, that is not all; let us still see more analysis from the 2012 admission process.

The Vice Chancellor of UNIZIK, Prof. Boniface Egboka said out of over 80,000 candidates who took part in the institution’s Post-UTME and were qualified for admission, but only about 3,700 would be privileged to gain admission for the 2012/2013 session. Citing an example from the school’s law and medicine faculties where out of the 2,000 candidates who scored 291 in JAMB examination and should have qualified for admission but only 100 candidates would gain such.
As most candidates will always love to put the blame of their admission failure on the education system, blaming the university they applied to or the corruption in the system in general, they forget one thing – it’s only failures that put the blame of their admission failures on someone else. The university did not say you should fill them during your JAMB registration or the so-called corrupt system did not force you to decide to go to school. You just have to learn to be responsible for all your actions. What am I trying to say here? Simple! The things I will be introducing to you very soon will put your power of judgment to test. You will be making or about to make a decision that on a normal day, you may find it hard to make such a decision.
The first paragraph of this article shows us an illustration of the pains and frustrations a female JAMB candidate is facing. Some of us may say the cause of her admission failures maybe due to the fact that: she has being glued to the normal norm of things in Nigeria (everybody must be an Accountant, a Doctor, and an Engineer), she may be applying for a course she can never get, or she may be applying to the wrong school. If you suggest one or more of the above reasons for her failure to gain admission for the past five (5) years, then you are right.

However, that is not all. If I may ask, what do you see or find in common between the three reasons above? ….. I am waiting …. I am still waiting. Ok! For the sake of time, let me tell you in one word; it is “competition ”. Competition you said? Yes! You heard me right, competition. Let me explain.
Firstly, she has been applying to a very competitive course (Accounting) and a very competitive school (University of Lagos). A lot of candidates are so fascinated when they hear courses like: Medicine & Surgery, Accounting, Pharmacy, Economics, Mechanical Engineering and Nursing. But little did these candidates know about the competition level of these courses – these courses are very marketable courses which most people wouldn’t mind paying close to N500, 000 just to get one of these courses.

Many candidates fill courses they know nothing about. Just because they hear people talking about the hotness (marketability) of these courses, they just feel like; if I should get this course, my life will be hot. But I have one simple question for these candidates; is your life still going to be hot by the time you spend and waste your life looking for a hot life? Well, I guess there wouldn’t even be a life left in you to get the hot life you day dream for. Take a second to think about that.
Let just now assume that after five (5) years of staying at home, you now decide to use malpractice to get this competitive course in a very competitive school and the next challenge you then have to face is how to graduate from this hot school. The question now is; after all these, can you cope in that department and school? I tell you, you can never do well in that school studying that course you bribed your way just to study. Take my word for it.

It struck a chord in me when students say; guy, anything them give me, I go graduate with am. Candidly, this is laughable but it’s a very serious issue which needs to be addressed. The ideology of these kinds of youths needs reformation, if we are to compete with or even get close to our counterparts overseas. If you can’t see yourself getting a first class or a second class upper from that department and school you wish to do your studies, then you should forget that course or university.
Competition into tertiary institutions in Nigeria is on the rise and we don’t see this trend sliding down soon. If you really want the easy way to get admitted, then you must be ready to make the hard decisions and take the tough road. Making the hard decisions and taking the tough roads will be our quest in this article.

“Beside Law and Medicine & Surgery, getting employed in any of the other profession could just be a matter of earning a good first degree, corresponding 2nd degree and professional certifications. The Labor market is biased towards grade than course of study, a good grade appears better than a good course.”

Ok, if this is true which I personally think it is, then our focus should be on how to get good grades no matter the course we are studying. So, this means we can choose any course to study as long we convince ourselves that we are going to make some good grades from it. This can also be interpreted as: simply choose a course and tertiary institution that is not competitive and try to get a first class or a second class upper from this chosen course/department and tertiary institution.
But, why apply to an already populated course and institution with so much competition, while you can do a little research and get a very less populated and competitive course and institution that is more likely to grant you admission without much tussle? Seriously, I have come to understand that to gain admission without much stress is to go for the less competitive courses and schools and try to become the best there. Hope you understand this concept? Because, this is one of the general rules for getting easy admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions – Observe the competition and apply to less competitive courses and tertiary institutions.
