What I really don't get is why the Yorubas hated this man so much? Is he not a Yoruba man? Why the hate on him? Somebody just said it is because he seeked the support of Igbos and non indigenes in the election. Well if that is true, then the hatred the yorubas have for the Igbos is beyond this earth. If you take a look at all the comments in this thread, it is littered with yorubas abusing the Igbos for no just cause. When the Igbos respond they will say igbos this, igbos that. All I can see is people filled with hate and rabid gelousy. Just because jimi agbaje is seeking the support of other tribes, they now transfer d hatred they have for other tribes to him. They preferred to be to the apron strings of bola tinubu forever. While d man becomes more richer from "tithes" he receives from his stooges (fashola and maybe now Ambode) you lot continue to persih in poverty and hate. You guys should continue with your hate filled lives and see where it gets u

It is Jealousy. Can you see why we don't get along with some of you? You think you know all whereas you know absolute nothing

If you all think you don't need the igbos then you have lied, we need each other to succeed. Lets love ❤ one another no matter the tribe, I am igbo but I grew up here in Lagos and speak Yoruba even more than some Yoruba people, thanks for having us in your Space, likewise we have Yoruba in onitsha and in all igbo states, that's the essence of freedom.

Appreciate your comment. you are one of a kind.

Ewu He did not enjoy awolowo free education. Go read Achebe 's biography or his last book " there was a country"

He nearly pulled out from uni due to lack of fund.

I won't be here and see u re-write history, that's what u people do with Lagos - ibadan press.

Chinua Achebe was an old fool that was suffering from Dementia when he wrote the book. He wanted to re-write history before death caught with him

Barren land that produce abakaliki rice, omogho rice, onitsha yam,

I wonder if u are mentally balanced

If you are smart enough, you will now that rice is never produced on dry land, it is produced on marsh land. And for yam, being the type of crop it is, it can thrive on barren land like Onitsha

Before u re-write history this goat, achebe got into UI to study medicine n surgery on British scholarship. Then UI was just an offshoot of Cambridge.

He lost d scholarship when He changed course to study literature. And awolowo did give him free education. For d record.

Story story. Did he school at University of Ibadan or not? did he enjoy awolowo free education or not?
And for the record, it wasn't only him, hundreds of Igbos enjoyed Awolowo free education and you people should be grateful to him and all yorubas in general

That's the problem with you folks. You just hide in Lagos or any southwestern city and feel you know all. Travel to the southeast for once. Don't worry, nobody will eat you if you're scared of all the cannibalism fables you've been hearing from childhood

Keep quiet, I served in Enugu and I touched 4 Igbos states. All your lands are barren. from nightmile, to emene, to afikpo, to old park, to awka, to oji, to abakaliki, to onitsha (dirty place), to owerri, to umuahia. Nothing is in eastern Nigeria. You guys are just noise makers. If I haven't been there, I would have thought otherwise

We learnt from awolowo and yoloba people

Tell me one Igbo former leaders from Azikiwe, to Ojukwu, to C.C. Onoh, to Michael Okpara that was not tribalistic.

One of the most intelligent man that ever came out from your region Chinua Achebe benefitted from Awolowo free education by graduating from University of Ibadan, if you call that being tribalistic, then something most be wrong with your thick skull

I wanted to reply u, then I checked ur date of registration and it was 11/04/2015. Just yesterday, the moniker is for bashing igbos, I won't give u that privilege.

Now run off d cliff goat!

I have been an observer and nairalander for over 8 years. I opened this moniker to correct the ills called Igbos. We have to set record straight with these people of lost tribe of Isreal before they re-write every single history of Nigeria and Yoruba kingdom

He doesn't have anything to lose. The Igbos does. At worst he will become a minister or ambassador. This dude has tried his best, it is unfortunate that he was born into a tribe of bigots that never reason beyond their myopic views. Now all Igbos states are in the hands of opposition party, let's see how they will develop

Fool, we dont have Osu caste in Yorubaland. All Yoruba sons and daughters are born equally. Since you didn't deny being an Osu, I believe your father is an Osu which automatically makes you a bastard Osu

Yorubas and stupidity... Always want to be slaves to one man. You didn't vote Agbaje because he seek the support of igbos showed highest level of insensitivity. As if he was not a Yoruba.. I pity you guys, keep bowing for Tinubu and let him be determining your faith every year.Tinubu will determine your faith in the next 24 years...guess what, the same set of people in his pipeline will be benefiting while the rest of you will be leaking his anus thinking you voted against the igbos. Agbaje is a pure Yoruba, he may have spread his campaign to get the Igbo votes, but guess what? the Yorubas in their primitive and tribalism voted against him..this is contrary to the education which they claimed to have acquired. Yoruba are slaves to Tinubu and will remain slaves!..stupid sets of people

When democracy returned to Nigeria in 1999, Tinubu like many other people became governors in their states. Where are the governors of eastern states like Mbadinuju, Nnamani, Sam Egwu, Udenwa and Kalu now?. We know they embezzled the allocations they federal government gave them. So what is your problem with Tinubu, are we the ones that told you people not to trust one another and not have a national political figure from your region. Out of the former eastern governors, mention one that performed better than Tinubu

that further shows your stinky Kingdom is still in the stone age.. ..just like your gorilla oba. that's the lowest traditional ruler in this whole Nigeria. even lower than the lowest fulani chief. your oba reasons like a gorilla. just believe me, you guys don't have an oba. you guys have a sewage tank....lol

You need to travel and see what is happening elsewhere. Its just a matter of time. Just between last year and now the traffic out of the Port of Calabar has nearly doubled. Akwa Ibom will get through the bottlenecks and get their Ibaka port (they have the funds and the supporting infrastructure). They will take all the traffic going North-East. The distance from Portharcourt to Aba, Enugu, Onitsha is much shorter than Lagos to Benin. In a democracy, the balance of economic power can change quickly.

Thank you, since you know all this, can you go back to your village now?

Very shameless yoruba man. Lagos maybe in SW however very different from Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti in that 80% of taxes and duties paid into its coffers are by non yorubas...keep that in mind. When next you see Fashola commissioning a project...say big thank you to the non yorubas who are funding it through their taxes and duties. You think Lagos can function without them? You people should be very careful how carelessly you speak. Also say big thank you to the Niger Delta for your behemoth monthly allocation...you think you can survive without this handout by generous Niger Delta people? Speaking as a Niger Deltan, the day you Yoruba will marginalize any non yoruba in Lagos, be prepared to lose your federal monthly allocation and non payment of taxes and duties by non Yorubas...let's see how you will survive. You think Lagos would have attained its current economic and social status without nom yorubas and federal character? You want one Nigeria, you must abide by every law that glues us as Nigerians.

You are very stupi.d and deranged for this comment. You this bastar.d threatening a whole tribe. Are you well at all.?You and all your kinsmen should leave lagos now. Go and pay your stupid tax in your barren eroded land. eediot Osu running away from being used as a sacrifice

The Oba of Lagos is a very sorry excuse for a traditional leader. he is so hungry that he goes about threatening people's lives and livelihood for votes. I want to repeat that as long as the monkey seats on that stool, the stool of oba of Lagos remains desecrated and vacant. ibos are not in Lagos because of the faces of Lagosians. they are there to make an honest living. and they have as much rights as every other Nigerian to do so. That.... oba is just an ignorant bad tempered old chimpanzee!

Since your Igwes are selected based on corruption and not merit, you can open that your stinky mouth to talk to a powerful king. If not for civilization, a stranger like you is used as a sacrifice to appease the land

Igbo people are shroud, igbo people are crude, I don't expect the igbos in washingthon to be any better.

Nigeria can really never be One, cos the people from the South-West are far different from people of the south-East,

The North Enjoys a little Homogeneous nature from one common Hausa Tongue let's assume Islam and christainity wasn't an issue but the Igbo's and the Yoruba's from the same south can never truly ever be one, cos Igbo and Yoruba are like 2 parallel lines that can't meet! Language Barrier, Cultures and Traditions varies widely.

Igbo people are visitors in Lagos and I'm just stating the obvious.

Igbo People can not want what the real owners of the land don't want for themselves and thats why the Oba took a stand once and for all without mincing words.

Nobody Drowns anybody in a lagoon at this age and time and expects to get away with it but I expected the igbo's to have read between the lines and taken it with a pinch of salt, instead they did what was expected of them, displaying their ignorance,

The same ignorance that made them Perish to the civil war!

Oh! How my people perish for lack of knowledge.

If only the igbo people know what they have done to themselves, they would whole-heartedly Herald the Wind of #Change that is about to sweep this country.

It would do igbo people good to catch the Wind of #Change together with the Rest of the Nation because a certain region won't be allowed to hold other regions backwards.

Never!.

Thank you. You are a true son of your father

Hey hey hey hey hey! I never said i was an Israelite...Google said so! We Igbos have a history and know our roots. Unlike a cursed tribe that claims their father Oduduwa fell from the sky! cheesy cheesy

No wonder Benjamin Netanyahu wants to associate with you hairy eediots. Your genuine root is from an outcast that went to Arochukwu to impregnate a gorilla. That's why you people are hairy like gorilla
