Judzygal: My dependents (husband and daughter) have biometrics this morning, we didn't upload wedding/family pictures, should I be worried.? every other document was uploaded, including marriage cert and consent forms/letter just the pictures... I got my own visa last week. Is not necessary. Applied for my hubby with only marriage certificate and his visa was approved. If all other documents are in place, then you are good to go. |

PurpleDN: Hello Everyone & Good Morning.
Please I have a few questions and I would appreciate responses to them.
1) Can a pregnant woman apply for study visa in the Uk? Tho I read it’s not a breach of your tier 4 visa but my understanding of that is that it’s not a breach if you already have the visa and got pregnant so my question still remains can a pregnant woman apply?
2) The proof of funds ie Balance for school fees and maintenance fee, how do you calculate the Naira equivalent? Is it black market rate or the rate of the bank in which I intend to use the statement from or CBN official rate?
Please I will be looking out for responses. Thanks so much. 1) Don't have much knowledge about this. 2) Is better you use the black market rate to build the account because of fluctuation of naira. But the embassy will use Oanda rate of the day of your visa application submission to calculate for you. |

LagosismyHome: She needs court documents stating she has sole custody and other parents not in child's life. That might help Thank you so much @Lagosismyhome. Please one more question. Previously they applied for visa last 2 years and used the father"s details and the visas were refused because she couldn't provide the father's consent. Please advise if this current application with sole custody order will be affected by their previous application that was refused? |

justwise: .
His immigration status in the UK will likely have an effect on there application, there is no way to proof that he is not in communication with his family back in Nigeria, this could be seen as a way of bringing his family to join him .
Your aunt will need letter of consent from him to travel with those kids.
2. Stand for them as for? @justwise, thanks for your reply. 2.) If her current husband can give consent for her son. Or is it better she get a sole custody order for her son? |

Good morning NL family,
Please my aunt is about to apply for visa for herslf and her son. But we are so confused on how to go about it. My aunt was once married but her husband abandoned her and left for Uk for like 9 years now. He no longer cares for his family and no communication with the family. We got information from the cousin that he is staying in UK as an illegal immigrant.
Our question now is: 1) If we should fill his details as my aunt husband and father to her son. She has been the only one catering for her son for 9 years now.
2)Will filling his details on their application affect their chances of getting a visa based on his immigration status. Please what can she do about this.
Ps: my aunt was later in a relationship with another man for a year now. Can he stand for them?

mimilyrics: It's possible but why, if I may ask? Why not wait till January for your spouse to apply with your son?
No, though you might need an enrolment letter from your school to support your spouse's application. Thanks @mimilyrics for your continous support and swift response. I applied for myself and my spouse and planned on my son staying back to round up his nursery school by next year. But we just changed our mind after our application and we are deciding on applying for him by January. If I have received my visa, and am still in Nigeria, can I apply for him or I have to travel first? Thanks. |

mimilyrics: If you're named on the account as an account holder, yes you can. Just curious though, why would you be using a joint account with your friend? Why not your own account? You don't have to answer if you don't want to.
If your school doesn't insist on any deposit before CAS, it wouldn't affect your visa application. Your school will only include your full tuition fee on your CAS and you'd have to show that you have held the funds in the stipulated manner. Thanks for the reply. I dont have up to the expected amount in my personal account. Am considering using both the joint accoint statement and my personal account statement to apply for my visa. I hope this will work. |
