rusher14: Mr Rusher....Read clearly before passing the same death sentence on him. I have highlighted it for you below. FIFA passed a ‘death’ sentence on him, a life ban from the only activity he has always known throughout his life – football – because he failed to respond to an email sent to him to come and defend himself in a scandalous matter of match fixing. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Let’s start campaigning for enforcement of capital punishments. Arrested people that have been tried, convicted and sentenced to death should be publicly executed, as a detriment to the young ones. This guy will only be in jail because governors refuse to sign death warrants. 1 Like 1 Share |

This is absolute rubbish from the Governors!!! The death penalty existed for a reason, to punish those that committed capital murder and have exhausted their appeals - meaning they are undoubtedly found guilty. Also to serve as deterrent to others that might toe their path of deriving joy in killing fellow citizens. In a country where there is no law there is no crime so to say. When you publicly execute criminals it serves as a lesson to others. No wonder this country is in deep mess, no deterrent to other criminals nothing. 10 Likes 1 Share |

alphaNomega: Fool! You didn’t read where it stated they died in exchange of gun fire? If you brothers were the Police officers, will you suggest they risk there life and not fire back at armed robbers shooting at them. Even in advanced society, by holding a gun (even toy gun) you are dead already. 102 Likes 2 Shares |

Politics / Watch BBC Explosive: Inside Nigeria's Kidnap Crisis [VIDEO] by yinchar(m): 3:00pm On Jul 01, 2019 |
Nigeria is in the grip of a kidnapping epidemic. Thousands of people have been taken, millions of dollars in ransoms paid. What began as a protest against the unequal distribution of oil wealth has now become a major security threat to Nigerians at all levels of society. The Intelligence Response Team, or IRT, was set up specifically to tackle kidnapping and armed robbery. Led by Commander Abba Kyari, known by many as “Nigeria’s Supercop”, the unit has tracked down a who’s who of Nigerian kidnappers since 2015. Is this unit the answer to Nigeria’s kidnap crisis or just more of the same corruption and violence that has plagued policing in the country for decades? Crime / Re: Police Arrest Kidnappers Of UBEC Chairman & Daughter, Recover Arms (Photos) by yinchar(m): 9:21pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
This type of effort could be complemented by other chain of command to make this are real success. For this arrest, the onus is now on the Judiciary to sentence the accused to long time in Jail. Then for the prison command to ensure these accused never see the light of the day till the end of their term. Solid chain of command like this makes a better society, there mustn’t be any missing link. I am of the opinion that the Federal Government needs to invest and build modern super max jails of over the country for hardened criminals. 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Bukola Saraki And 219 Ex-lawmakers To Return Their Official Number Plates - FRSC by yinchar(m): 5:25pm On Jun 14, 2019 |
Imagine a national parastatal - FRSC saying they can’t reach them? When their is no national database, how can a whole country not have an ID system, no central database for citizens real time information. This country will never progress until we get this aspect right, until we have a unique ID system for all citizens and a central database that could be accessed by necessary government agent. It’s only after doing so that vices like crime will reduce, payment of taxes will be prompt and there will be check and balances. Imagine a secondary school kid that knew after committing crime, the crime will be in his record for life. Even graduating with 1st Class from the university might still not reposition his life because all companies will be mandated by law to do a background check on all applicant, will our youth commit crimes? Until their is a system that provides check and balances to guarantee repercussion for actions, there is no hope! 11 Likes 1 Share |
