The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has drawn attention to the manner the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu redeploys political candidates across the states of the federation at the wave of the hand. Oke Umurhohwo, the Social Media aide to the senatorial candidate of the PDP in Lagos West, Segun Adewale (a. k. a. Aeroland), said the way Tinubu imposed Hon. Olamilekan Adeola Solomon (alias Yayi) on the district was condemnable. Umurhohwo, drew attention to the fact that Tinubu may be trying to permanently put the state under the purview of his family. “There are three senatorial districts in Lagos and Tinubu’s family members are jostling for two of those,” Umurhohwo said in a statement, Thursday. “It is on record that Hon. Adeola married from Tinubu’s family. We are also aware that Tinubu’s wife is the incumbent senator for Lagos Central. Are there no other candidates the APC can come up with. Why must they be from Tinubu’s family?” The year 2014 was filled with different political scenes which included political migrations ranging from cross-carpeting between parties to cross carpeting between states; one of which was very significant, glaring and amazing to say the least. It was the political migration that occurred between Lagos and Ogun states, and involving Hon. Adeola who is the incumbent Chairman, House committee on Public Accounts. The man, who married from Tinubu’s family, migrated from being a Lagos based politician representing Alimosho Federal Constituency in the National Assembly to Ogun State where he was rejected by APC elders. The people of Ogun West Senatorial District said they rejected Adeola because he has never sponsored any bill in the house despite chairing of a House Committee. They also said the Adeola-led House Committee failed woefully, citing his failure to probe the alleged missing funds involving the NNPC and the federation account by his committee which has dealt a big blow on his legislative career. Reports say Adeola was also rejected by Governor Ibikunle Amosun who feared Tinubu wanted to use the Adeola to disrupt the APC structure in the state. After his rejection in Ogun state, for the above reasons as revealed to our correspondent by a member of Governor Ibikunle Amosun's cabinet who pleaded anonymity, the quest to wield power was increased and he sought resort in the Lagos West Senatorial District. This resolution was made after he failed to get the Ogun West ticket to his party. Investigations revealed that party chieftains of the APC are not happy with the development and has resolved to work against him at the polls after they were edged out of the race to grab the party's ticket schematically. Efforts to reach the APC for comments on the alarm raised by the PDP proved abortive. This has left Lagosians wondering if Adeola Solomon is truly the politician who has the love of the Lagosians in mind or just has his personal interest and those of his godfather or just a confused man who doesn't know where he belongs to or just a representative who is interested in wasting the public fund

Adeola Olamilekan Solomon popularly known as Yayi is the lagos West APC Senatorial candidate. Keeping a set of serial killer squad which he has been using to carry out his deadly assignments; one of which include the recent attack on his PDP opposition, Aeroland. Adedayo Oki also known as HOD is the sharp shooter of the killer squad. HOD dresses round like a Muslim cleric in a way to disguise away from the policemen who have been on his trail for some months now. In the interest of public peace, its advisable to look out for him (pictured above). This serial killer squad has been known to be responsible for so many killings in the Senatorial District lately. A source in the campaign team who spoke to reporters on the basis of anonymity admitted the presence of the squad and the order from above which is for the squad to go decoy because the news has gone round in the district while also admitting to the recent killings in Mushin, Fadeyi as being perpetuated by the squad. Though these has been going on for a while but it has been brought to public notice and the public is advised to be cautious of any political engagement with YAYI as he might call on the squad for your termination in case you refuse to do his bidding even as testified by residents of Egbeda where he resides.

Jimi Agbaje, speaks on his plans to revamp the education system in Lagos and differences in his experience as a governorship candidate in the state in 2007 and 2015, Kamal Tayo Oropo and Seye Olumide report. DIFFERENCES between 2007 and 2015 governorship campaigns There is significant different between the two campaigns because this one is a lot more hectic than 2007. In the 2007 campaign, we had numbers of limitations. We tried to reach out to a lot of people through the mass media but this time around, people tried to reach you one on-one and so you have the challenge of trying to reach out to everybody that is a hectic base. We definitely have a stronger platform (PDP) that we are working but even with that it is hectic, don’t forger that we are going against a ruling party that has been here for nearly 16 years. The ruling APC is a very entrenched organisation that we are working to remove and they are not taking it lying low. They are also fighting that has made it more hectic. Infrastructural development of Lagos between 2007 and now Obviously there have been some level of improvements in certain areas and some areas have not had it so good. But the main issue is the challenges of the global mega city, which are still there. For instance the issues of education are there because it is clear, all over the world that any community, state or nation that does not have a well-educated population is in trouble. This is a stage of a knowledge economy. We still have our challenges in the area of education in the state. There are still the challenges of universal access to health. This still remain a challenge to us and again we have the issues of the natural fallout of the global mega city like housing and urban renewal, so we have a housing situation where nearly over 70 per cent of the population are living in substandard housing condition. So these are some of the challenges we are facing. We have transportation. We still have a long way to go. We cannot say that we are on top of that. For a global mega city, these are the issues we have. Then lets come to the basis, water has its own issues. We are still facing the problem of portable water, which has its own health challenges. Against the problem of how to create new urban communities for Lagos is there. The challenges of getting other areas of Lagos, especially those places that are expanding, how to cope with making them communities that can stand on their own. In this regard we want to look at the Alimoso area, Badagry, Epe and others. The bases are still there with us, so the agenda is still well cut out and so we can’t say that we are moving in the direction that we ought to but that is not to say that we have not make some progress in some areas. Agenda for Lagos state Very clearly education is priority number one. The idea is that you can’t have any progressive or developed country without a well-educated workforce. That is priority number one. What we find is that if you look at the way education is structured in the state, we discovered that there is a lot more emphasis on tertiary and secondary education at the expense of primary education and what we are saying is that we need to place more emphasis on primary education. If you do a survey, the result shows that there are more children in private primary schools than they are in public schools. But then, we also know that a number of these private primary schools don’t really offer much but people still believe that they offer more than public primary schools. So it is important that we place more emphasis on primary education, if we do it right, it means we will get a sound foundation for our children. For example, a child who cannot read and write English properly and cannot think in English, he or she becomes very difficult to teach at the secondary level. Do you expect such child to pass? Of course not! On what we are going to do differently, one is to place more emphasis on primary education and to look at the general issues of teachers and the facilities. We need to have more teachers, to have better provision for teachers’ development and welfare. It is interesting you spoke about the Old Western Region, don’t forger that this region at a time spent nearly 40 per cent of its budget on education. It was that much of a priority, again I am not saying that we are going to spend 40 per cent but definitely you have to begin to put more on education. There is also the issue of education that relates with technical and vocational field, I think we have to begin to look at our technical and vocational education in a different ways. If you look at the National Bureau of Statistics where we have the categories of people who were unemployed, you will discover that when they got to the categories of artisans, there is hardly an artisan that is unemployed. That tells you the kind of opportunities that are out there for them (artisans) but then what matter is what kind of skills do they have? Government responsibility is to begin to prepare people for those types of skills to participate in the new world of today and not in the old fashion. That is the kind of things that you have to get people to get into. Another thing about basic education is that if you look at the Old Western Region, the command of English of those that did Standard Six is totally different. More importantly education has gone into innovation and creativity. We should stop preparing them (our children) for the factory but to prepare them to be innovative and creative. We have to emphasis on that. It is not going to be costly and don’t forget that the constitution is very clear that basic education is a right and not about cost. I keep saying the difference between public and private basic education would be in the extracurricular activities that come into the private. In terms of academics they (public, private schools) should be at par and what we aimed is to produce students in our public and private schools that are at par in terms of academic. It is not just a right of the student to have basic education but it is in the interest of the nation to have people that have sound education. Percentage of budget for education At present Lagos State is spending about 14 per cent of its budget on education but we are aiming at bringing it up to about 18 per cent. On health programme For health we are very clear that the model fashioned along the line of universal access to health and health insurance. We have to use a model that is close to what we know that is Health Insurance Model because what that does is that it addresses a lot of issues that is affecting us at the moment. Reaction to verbal attack on his person by Governor Babatunde Fashola It is unfortunate that is has turned to that. I am a firm believer that governance and politicking should be about ideas rather than personal accusations and all that. May be there is some sensitivity in terms of what we are saying. To some extent the only way I can explain it is that there is some sensitivity as to the type of things we have come out with. Not from us, but the way others see us. I think there has been this impression that we (Lagos) have been a fantastic state in terms of performance. Again I have always been on record that we have made progress, but we shouldn’t fool ourselves that we are where we want to be. At times like this, it is good to see our selves the way people sees us and I think maybe the governor is being sensitive to these issues, these are not my findings, these are findings by people. - See more at: http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/features/policy-a-politics/198834-jimi-agbaje-cannot-be-pushed-around#sthash.DqDQujJ7.dpuf |

AS A TEENAGER OR EVEN A UNIVERISTY STUDENT FORCED TO SHARE A DORM ROOM, HAVING SEX IN A ODD PLACES IS OFTEN A NECCESITY. SEX which is now a common practice among growing teenagers and the urge for it has been so demanding that teenagers look for most available private place(s),’Quickie Spot(s)’, to pour out their sexual lust and mostly ends with quickie. For those who don’t seem to know what Quickie is; It is the term given to a sexual romp i.e a quick and quite intense, often animalistic lust/sex. Enough of the definition though. As widely known, OAU is one of the prestigious universities in Nigeria, driven by its good educational background and with religious presence. Notwithstanding, ‘things’ happen later in the night after a stressful day in academics, which sometimes make one wonder if, for real, people don’t get tired, making one rethink about his/her sex life. Due to the Fact that the school is quite big and has many hidden places, regardless of students’ preference to stay in their rooms after classes are over, making available, many ‘quickie spots’ for Hot lovers. Some of these spots have finally been discovered by alariwo, with more to come. These spots are » THE GREAT SPIDER BUILDING » AMPHI BASEMENT , » SPORTS COMPLEX, » HUMANITIES CARPARK, » YELLOW HOUSE STAIRCASE , » SOCIAL SCIENCES CAR PARK. SPIDER BUILDING Located in the extreme part of the school, this is about the most coded quickie spot in OAU, with at least 10 sexual activities happening there per night. Usually, guys that take babes there do so because they either don’t have a room or can’t afford an hotel room or don’t have car(s). This place is the most dreaded place in OAU for girls and there is a myth that any babe that goes there wants the D and would never... BUY AN APPLE, GET A BLACKBERRY…MESSENGER Yaaay! This weekend, BlackBerry loses its status of ‘exclusive’ runz girl. Anybody can get her now for free as long as you are holding an Apple or Android device (^^). Apparently, Blackberry is having a tough time, with its sales are down and it losing market to Windows phones, this offer is a way of boosting it up.(Other ashanas have stolen Ashana BlackBerry’s clients so now to survive, she has to give it for free abi?). Are they merely trying to postpone the inevitable? I remember a proverb by Abraham Lincoln, “Once a runz girl offers free services, her days are numbered”. Unilag students, especially guys have this ideology that babcock girls are caged up young Hot girls who are gullible, naïve and thirsty girls (to an extent that’s kinda true). The thing is Unilag girls are proud, especially law girls and it is true that if you don’t have cash, swag or tight packaging you’re not gona get a hot girl, at worst you’ll get a nerd with just fairly ok looks and a boring personality. Many Unilag girls have sly’d me, many have strawed me and well I also have sly’d many but never strawed any.. Anyways I was at a club party recently, Rubix cube and it was co-hosted by Unilag and Babcock people. At first I was reluctant to go cuz I hate parties hosted by Unilag peeps (except barbecue nights and beach parties which are so on point), the thing is in a Unilag club party the girls are very snobbish and they tend to dance with mostly guys they know or guys who can spend on them, it’s not like I don’t get asses but I have to hustle for the asses. Anyways I eventually went cuz my guys cajoled me to go and I had 12k to burn. So after swagging up and doing our pre-club rituals we boarded a cab (who ripped us off with the expensive price) and we got to the club. Firstly the club was like really full and hot and it was mostly Unilag girls who were there. As per big boys my guys and I went to VIP section but the vip was for big men who took their mistresses out,to cut the long story short vip was very boring, kinda empty and the drinks there were too expensive so we headed to regulars where the real party was at. The party was kinda segmented., Unilag peeps stayed at one corner which was the left corner and Babcok peeps stayed at the right. So we went to regulars the Unilag corner and we poped bottles (and for some stupid reason I can’t explain my glass of red label fell on the floor and everyone was staring at me like I’m one retard who was clubbing for the first time), anyways me and my guys danced and rocked babes, Unilag babes.. so I got bored and tired of dancing with the Unilag girls and decided to go to the Babcock corner to sample their chicks and see what they were made of and mhen those girls are CRAZY. It was as if they’ve been deprived of dance their whole life and that day was their only chance to ever dance, in my life I’ve never had a lapdance but these girls gave me a lapdance, one was pushing me with her boobs and one pushed me to the wall and did some sort of atrocities to me in form of dance, at one point if you saw us you’d think we were having sex on the dance floor, anyways many more things happened but I’m not allowed to mention them (just incase your mind travels I didn’t do it)… When guys go clubbing their main purpose is to pick up babes and do stuff with them, for me it’s different, Firstly I don’t know how to walk up to a babe and start a conversation just like that so picking up babes isn’t really my strong point, doesn’t mean I don’t know how to get girls, the point here is that when I club my main purpose is just Read up at http://alariwo.net/the-collabo-unilagbabcock/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter |
Hey yo Little Monsters and others (psst..that’s what she calls her fans), Aunty Lady Gaga has finally admitted that she likes eating young cats (*clears throat*). She revealed on Watch What Happens Live (this is suppose to be the name of a show? This oyinbos sha) that she has, in her words, “taken a few dips in the lady pond” (I’ll like to say that the word ‘few’ estimates about 5-10% and if the population of women is about 16million, and 5% of that is 800000, therefore Lady Gaga has dipped into 800000 young cat :| ). Well, she’s certainly living up to her name. Me likey! (Me? ow?) :| BATTLE OF THE EMCEES Following the publication of ‘The Top 10 Most Talented Rappers in Nigeria’ by notjustok.com, there has been an uproar in the Nigerian rap world as several rappers have taken to social media twitter and dropping tracks attacking and defending their rap credibility. Notable among these battling rappers are Godwon and Rukus (both did not make the list), who have lashed out at their absence on the list by attacking the ones that made it (spoilt baby crying because he didn’t get the toy?). Likes of SauceKid and IcePrince have openly attacked their attackers via the same channels to defend their position on the list (attack is the best defense I see). Some (that is, Me) are of the opinion that this is what will rejuvenate the somewhat lukewarm Nigerian rap world. The 150 Virgins There are virgins in Lagos!. Whoop!.Maybe they do anything butt sex but it came as a surprise to me that there are more than 150 virgins in Lagos (it should surprise you too -_-). I know this because an NGO called VirginsBride Network (they should have asked me to find name for them) “unveiled” 150 ladies who are virgins at an annual event in Lagos. The ladies were dressed in white gowns and smiled for the cameras with pride for being among the rare few with their virginities intact (I wonder which of them are virgins by choice and virgins by circumstances *opens bar of snickers*). They all also took a pledge to remain virgins till they say “I Do”. Let’s hope they keep to their pledges. read more via http://alariwo.net/weekly-review-4/ |
The Minister of State for Education, Mr Nyesom Wike, has declared that he is ready to step on toes to achieve the needed transformation of the education sector. He has equally directed the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) to enforce the use of standardised textbooks in primary and secondary schools. Wike spoke in Abuja on Thursday when the Governing Board of the council paid him a courtesy visit in his office. He challenged the council to assert its authority as the agency of government charged with the responsibility of approving textbooks to be used in schools. He decried a situation where worthless books are recommended for use in schools because of perceived relationship with the authors. He said: “NERDC is responsible for developing the curriculum and should be in the best position to recommend appropriate books, but this is not the case, you must assert your authority and reclaim your mandate”. In the face of dwindling budgetary provision, the minister advised the council to seek for ways of generating additional funds internally and to prioritise its programmes in line with available resources and objectives. He further stressed that resources can hardly be sufficient at anytime even as he observed with dismay that many agencies spend the bulk of their resources on conferences and workshops. Wike pledged to support the council to achieve its objectives, but urged the board of NERDC to avoid anything that would lead to in-fighting within management. read up via http://alariwo.net/we-cant-revamp-education-without-stepping-on-toes-minister/ |

Recently, Prof Andrew Nok was awarded the Alexander Humboldt Prize prize for finding a cure to trypanosomiasis. It had been said that whoever wins this German prize is close to becoming a Nobel laureate. Born in 1962, this Professor of Biochemistry in the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria had his education fully home-bred. Interestingly, all his degrees were acquired in post-independent Nigeria! His is just an example of those who had attained academic success despite the odds of the lack or insufficiency of educational facilities in our schools. I sometimes marvel at people who would sparingly blame the system at will upon the slightest academic misfortune. Admittedly, the Nigerian educational system is lowly funded. But I believe it depends on individuals to develop themselves to be able to compete with ‘global brands’ such as Nok had proofed. The 21st Century student/learner has no excuse at all! Technological advancement and its accompanying aid to development should be used to your advantage, not your disadvantage... Read more at /p3L497-lB |
Friends with benefits? They really do exist?! Well, I was also shocked when I found out, so welcome to my ignorant world. Not to be judgmental or anything, I used to think they only happened in movies but after realizing it’s the real deal, I just had to write something about it. Enjoy! They are friends, but they are really more than that. In math’s terms; friends< FWBs < besties. They are stuck in limbo between friendship and relationship. Those friends that can unload on each other and still enjoy the “fringe benefits” that come with their friendships, in other words they are the “classic booty calls” (and the name applies to both sides). The funniest thing here is that some of them actually know the other person’s boyfriend/girlfriend and they are just sincerely not bothered, or at least they act like they aren’t. To the female FWBs, however, that automatically developed feelings for their “friends” and believing the dude is going to leave his girlfriend for them (#autoyimu) don’t bother yourself so much because if he was going to do that he wouldn’t be messing around with you behind his girl’s back to begin with. I believe it’s not just mentally, spiritually and emotionally healthy for both parties because at the end of the day, someone will get hurt and God help us all if it’s the girl because like they say “hell hath no fury…” More via http://alariwo.net/fwbs/ |

If others are telling you these things, don’t believe them and find new people to surround yourself with that will make you feel good about yourself. If the media is the cause of your pain, realize that magazines and TV shows dramatize the importance of appearances and pictures are easily photoshopped. One of the negative thoughts about yourself that you should avoid is feeling like you’re not good enough. See your worth. 2. I DESERVE IT When something bad happens to you, don’t blame yourself. It’s unhealthy to believe that you ‘got what was coming to you’ whenever negative things happen. While some problems can be avoided, others are impossible to stop. Remember that despite what you’ve done in the past, you’re a good person. You don’t deserve pain. 3. HE’D NEVER LIKE ME Why do you think that your crush would reject you? If he’s only into girls that look like supermodels, find a new guy who’s not shallow. If he goes for girls with a good sense of humor, tell him your best joke. There’s no reason to think that you don’t stand a chance with a guy. Show him your lovely personality, flash him a smile, and see what happens. Don’t be fooled into thinking that your crush is better than you. He’d be lucky to have you; you’re a prize. 4. I CAN’T DO IT You can do whatever you set your mind to. It sounds like a cliché, but it’s the truth. If you have a goal, try your hardest to accomplish it. Don’t be afraid of failure or rejection. Tell yourself that you’re capable of succeeding and remain positive. 5. I’M A BAD PERSON After cheating on your boyfriend or having a nasty fight with your parents, it can be difficult to recover emotionally. Just remember that whatever you did wrong is in the past. If it’s impossible to fix your mistake, you can at least learn from it. Everyone has done things that they aren’t proud of, but that doesn’t make them evil. Humans are all flawed, which means they make mistakes. Don’t dwell on the how you’ve acted in the past and focus on how you want to act in the future. 6. NO ONE CARES ABOUT ME More people care about you than you realize. Even if you haven’t been getting along with your family or friends lately, they still love you. There could even be an acquaintance of yours that looks forward to your little chats every day. You never know how many people you’ve affected. Never think that you’re alone in life, because there are people around you who genuinely care. 7. I HATE MYSELF Hate is a strong word that you should refrain from using. There are traits that we all wish we didn’t possess, but there’s no reason to hate yourself over them. If the aspect you dislike is changeable, then what’s stopping you from bettering yourself? If it’s something that you can’t change, then you have to learn to accept that it’s a part of who you are. Never be ashamed of who you are. Once you stop telling yourself the things listed above, you’ll be happier. There’s no reason to focus on the negative when it only causes you pain. In the spirit of positivity, what’s your favorite thing about yourself? http://alariwo.net/7-negative-thoughts-about-yourself-you-should-avoid/ |
