shawlar: I think you should contact another doctor somewhere else; elpaso,Dallas or Atl, get correspondence form him/her and tell the VO that your plans have changed becos of the hurricane. They would appreciate the fact that you have planned ahead.
THIS IS A PSA TO ALL INTENDING MAMAS If you planned to go to Houston in the next one month, I advise for you to just change your plans right now. It might take a while before they recover from the effects of this flooding. For those that are already in Houston, my prayers are with you.. Stay safe Thank you, pls do you have drs contacts in Chicago,so I could build a correspondence. |

LholarB: . I use Puritan's pride Omega 3 at the moment with the drug they gave me at the Hospital, and it's mercury free..i used to take pregnacare Plus before but the vitamins in it were not enough for me cos it's compressed so they gave another Drug at the Hospital(contains all the vitamins needed), dats was why I got the Puritan's pride Fish oil cos I use Fish oil even before pregnancy, it's very good for the skin. Asked my Doc before I started using it,he told me I just wanted to waste my money but it's safe...Even my pharmacist said it's safe so you have nothing to worry about dear, you can still use your Fish oil!! Thank you dear, the puritan's pride fish oil you are taking, is it in the red plastic container? |

Liftedhands: No idea about this supplement but if it warns of usage by pregnant women! Then it's not the best option for you. Look for another supplement that contains the Omega 3 in a safer dosage and use. Pregna care Max has Omega-3 I guess?. thanks, pregnacare Plus and pregnacare Max has omega 3. Was just worried about the Emzor fish oil I took.. |

Hi mamas, I was wondering if anyone has used Emzor omega 3 fish oil and Puritan's pride fish oil in pregnancy. I was using pregnacarePlus but I opted for Emzor omega 3 fish oil the next month cause of cost, I used Emzor omega 3 fish oil for one month. Now I'm using puritan's pride omega3 fish oil... My major concern now is if these fish oils doesn't contain mercury, the fishier it smells, the worse it is they say.. I just read about mercury and I'm so concerned.. The Emzor smells fishier than the puritan's pride. The puritan's pride has no smell and it was written on the bottle that it's been purified against mercury and it's good for fetal development, but the ingredients reads mackerel which I think contains mercury, and it warns if pregnant consult a dr before usage...My Dr says it's not necessary to use omega 3 fish oil. But I really want Omega 3 cause of all the goodness for the baby.. please guys help,as I'm scared for mercury.. Sorry for the long post. |

justwise: Some of them supporting that Dr at that time were only interested in discount as a reward for them support and vigorous promotion of his services here then, i guess they are happy with themselves now. Nawa o! but they should have stoped him from practicing what he isn't specialized in. As a Family physician doing the job of an obgyn. |

Supernaturalone: Late September may still work, if you can push your travel to 36 weeks. I know this is quite dicey though. Secure the earliest date you can now and keep checking if an earlier date pops up. I don't know if the emergency appointment will work for you. Perhaps people on the house with experience with this can share their views. thanks. |

nefertitiram: Justwise, do you remember our rant two years ago? CC Modath
We flagged this dude as a scam but they wanted to eat us like raw sushi, called us bullies and stuff until JW applied wisdom.
Now wind don blow, fowl bum bum don open. Aunty Mo,
Wey you?/ Dint know all these, wouldn't have used the Dr at all.. |

Abuleoshi: I think the VO was nice. She telling you congrats meant she was in the mood to give you the visa. But the doctor you planned to use messed up things for you. Simply get a gynecologist, exchange correspondence and reapply. Afterall the VO said you should research well. Research does not take eternity. By the time you are going back, tell them you have done your research properly. Exactly my thought she was in the mood to give visa. But I need a date for next week and all I can see is late September. |

Supernaturalone: Sorry about your experience. What in particular were you asked regarding the choice of Dr, as I don't see it reflected in your transcript? Dr Akere has been red flagged at Chicago POE and maybe now at the embassy. Like you mentioned, you should show correspondence from an OBGY not a family practice Dr. People have been turned back on account of him no being an OBGY, at POE. I'll advise you get another Dr and reapply ASAP. Fya, Dr Akere delivered my son 4 years ago. Thanks.. The VO just told me research properly next time when it comes to medicals, my mind just went to the fact that he is not an obgyn. Dint even know he has been red flagged at the POE. So how were you able to use him 4years ago? I guess Dr Akere should known better that being a family physician won't allow entry as several people had gone through same experience. |

Sharing my experience at the Lagos embassy. I was denied Visa, I used Dr Ayoade Akere of J.I.L Medical Consultants in Chicago as my correspondence Dr. Though he is a Family physician and not an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. But he said he delivers babies too,so I felt he he is an all rounder, meanwhile his bill is higher than the Obgyn we exchanged mails with in Texas. Had to settle for Chicago cause I have a family frnd to stay with, who recommended him as well. ME: Hello, good morning VO: Good morning VO: passport pls ME: handed the passport over VO: why are you traveling ME: To have my baby VO: congratulations with a huge smile ME: thank you, smiling right back VO: what do you do ME: Bleep.... VO: Have you ever travelled ME: No VO: She types somethings VO: Did you say yes ME: No VO: Next time when reapplying make sure you research well about medicals and choose wisely ME: I was confused and asked her to elaborate but but she dint VO: handed the blue paper, sorry you have been r refused Visa She was actually nice cause some VOs don't even tell you where you went wrong, they just refuse you. And I already have all my documents, budget sheet, Dr's letter etc thanks to this group, but she dint ask to see any document. Please has anyone use Dr Akere in Chicago what do you think about him and what do you suggest I do |
