Laide Bakare welcomed a baby boy on Friday May 31 in New York and now her estranged first husband, Olumide Okunfulure is claiming he's the baby daddy.



The thing; Laide Bakare is married to another man, Tunde Oriowo. The first husband, Olumide, is claiming he was still married to Laide when she fell pregnant and quit their marriage controversially without hinting him. He's basically saying he's had intercourse with Laide in the last nine months and says he's the biological father of the baby boy.

Speaking from his base in Washington DC, the Ile-Oluji, Ondo State born businessman said: "I heard that my wife delivered a baby boy barely two months after she made a release that we were divorced, and she's saying that the baby belongs to one Mr. Tunde Oriowo. That's a lie, wicked lie. I'm the biological father. I have pictures to show that we were always together, but she deliberately kept the pregnancy out of my knowledge."

He however said, "in other words, it might be the result of her extra-marital affair without my knowledge, because there were cases that she would leave me and our daughter in the US, come to Nigeria all in the name of promoting her movies but staying with married men in Lagos. I couldn't monitor her because I was not always in Nigeria." Olu Mighty as Olumide is fondly called by friends vowed to take legal action, as well do DNA test to ascertain the child's paternity.

According to him; "I don't want to put laws into my hands. So, I have already notified my lawyers in the US and already contacted my lawyers in Nigeria about the matter, because she has many questions to answer. If she wants to prove herself right, I challenge her to go for DNA test because that would unveil the true father of the baby."

Olumide, the father of Laide Bakare's first daughter, Similoluwa equally noted that he's still legally married to the actress, saying that: "She's still my wife. We're legally married. She came to the States to deliver using my surname and my green card. It's just unfortunate she's using all the things I did for her to favour another man. So, our marriage is intact, legally. And if she wants to quit, legal action must be taken."

MASSOB declares June 8 sit-at-home, demands Rev. King’s release

The Movement for the actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra ,MASSOB has declared a sit-at-home protest on June 8, 2013 to mourn Igbo people who lost their lives to recent bombings in the Northern part of the country.

A statement signed by the Regional Administrators of MASSOB in Afikpo North and Afikpo South (Edda Central), in Ebonyi State, Comrade Uchenna Madu and Rev. Ogbonnaya Nnachi respectively noted that June 8, 2013 has also been declared a Biafra Public Holiday to mark the event.

The group said: “This sit-at-home exercise is as a result of numerous killings of Ndigbo in Nigeria, mostly in the Northern Region, extra judicial killings of our people in Biafra land, the wanton destruction of our people’s properties and the insensitive murder of six Igbos in June 8, 2004 at Apo village FCT, Abuja.

“June 8, 2013 as a day of mourning is set aside to remember and honour our innocent brothers/sisters, mothers, fathers and children who have been wickedly and callously killed, murdered and massacred by Islamic terrorist (Boko Haram), Nigerian Army, Police and other Islamist religious fundamentalists”.

MASSOB called on Ndigbo irrespective of their locations to observe the one-day sit-at-home from 6 a.m to 4pm, stressing that “it is a national duty for every Biafran , an honour to their fatherland, a special sacrifice offered for freedom, and a unique price paid for the world to know about our existence”.

They announced that there shall be no movement of vehicles and persons and that all private/general motor parks, major/minor markets, shops, schools, air/seaports, public/business places and banks shall be closed even as there would be no marriage/burial ceremonies on that day.



“MASSOB declares that their deaths will never be in vein, it must be avenged by actualizing Biafra, the only sure way of separating our people from blood sucking Northern environment”, the statement added .

The group noted that keeping quiet and making a lot of noise in the pages of Newspapers by some Igbo groups was not enough to salvage the deadly condition of Ndigbo in the North, adding that “some drastic steps and actions must be taken and that shall commence from June 8, 2013″.

In addition, the group demanded the unconditional release of Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo (Rev King), General Overseer of Christian Praying Assembly,CPA, who they said has been in prison custody since 2005 over alleged trumped up charges of murder.

stagger: 1) I pay tithes AND I give MASSIVELY to not just the needy but to the destitute and all who are associated with me. I have always paid my workers a 13th month, give them rice, chicken and a box of Indomie for as long as I can remember. I give out clothes to my gatemen as their inheritance (non-negotiable). Every December I go home, there are families who are fed three times a day from my house. And guess what? My money continues to enlarge! Telling me to stop paying tithes is not going to work because I have proved that scripture and it works! I have a colleague who argues against tithes and still can afford to spend hundreds of thousands of naira on women. He will go to hell if he continues and I have told him so severally.

2) John Okafor as far as I know, divorced his first wife and is living with another woman. THAT IS CLEAR CUT ADULTERY and he is on his way to hell. God says, I know my sheep and My sheep know Me. John quoting Jesus in his post is a noisemaker. He is very far from God as long as he lives with that strange woman.

3) A bishop must be the husband of one wife (1 Timothy 3 verse 2). It is for this reason that I can NEVER be a part of Kris Okoite's church because he has flouted God's law on this issue. Good for him that he has withdrawn himself from that adulterous relationship, but the moment he goes on to marry another woman again, he will be judged by God himself based on the bible he preaches from. I am in Winners and my spiritual fathers are husbands of one wife! So saying "my pastors" is a total lie. Kris Okotie is not my pastor. For the same reason, I stopped listening to Paula Whyte and I stopped giving to her ministry long ago.
