Susily:don't get it twisted,there are several hospitals in US who have non medical doctors as chief medical director which is synonymous with CEO,The individual usually has strong background in healthcare administration, business and finance, my point is you don't have to be a medical doctor before you can be a chief medical director and mayo clinic in US is an example and there are many others,but when you talk of medical director of course it has to be an experienced medical doctor who is sound in clinical settings, chief medical director and medical director are not the same. 1 Like |

Edygrin:Nigerian doctors are the most selfish, residency training that is being sponsored by the government already, they'll be acting as if they're the only ones relevant in the health sector as if other health care professionals don't contribute, well the useless structure has favoured them from inception, what do you expect, when you have commisional for health, minister for health, chief medical director which is purely administrative role ,all occupied by doctors, something impossible in a saner clime. |
