This is my code. But I am getting this error message

Declare an apị variable and set its value as specified in the instructions.

I have checked and the apị value is correct. What could be the issue?

YorubaEmir dynamo96

Remove that return statement. Return statement terminates a code and does not allow codes below it to run. Apart from that use displayUsers([user]);

pls i don't get it.
can i see the block of code before that lines you you stated ?

Your code is correct up to that point. Just change your displayUsers(users) to the one I sent

This code pulls user from the API but my error is this inline stuff.

Slow and steady we will get here someday soon.

God bless Nigeria.

This is the amount that was spent to make this technology a reality.
In other news,

This is the amount that was recovered just in 15 months by EFCC of Nigeria.
Imagine how much have been stolen all these long years of our so called DEMOCRACY, by our corrupt politicians.
Years of stealing is not corruption!
Monies that should have been used to developed every aspect of our nation!

Sigh!
We rest our case...........for now
We dey vex! lipsrsealed

Oga let the government provide us with the basic social amenities (foods , clothing and shelter) . That’s all we ask as it seems we’re wasting our time asking for infrastructure

T0CH:
.toFixed() just rounds the floating point to the number of decimal points places specified in the parentheses. Since it wasnt specified as to how the answer should appear, i think you can also use Math.floor() to get a whole number answer.

I even used Math.round and got my answer in 2 decimal places and it didn’t work only .fixed could do the job. But it’s unfair that we were not told how the final answer should look like .

Iretii0511:

Do you mean instead of result = cd?BMI.toFixed(1):BMI.toFixed(1)*0.82?

Thanks. I get the drift. But javascript is so voluminous sha. I have never seen .toFixed. Maybe because I don't do challenging project as much as I should.

Too voluminous. Na the first time me de hear am.

Yeah yeah. It doesn't remain much. Just .catch err

Iretii0511:
Please what is wrong with this calculation? dynamo, Brunomash, YorubaEmir.

replace your return statement with
return result.toFixed(1);
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Andela: IT Training And Job by YorubaEmir: 11:33am On May 08, 2019
Brunomash:

Hehehe...
I think it should be let [ results ] = user // user is null at this point
Because we are distructuring results

Remember you’re to assign the destructured property to a new variable (user)

Udo. Let's just finish this challenges. Maybe this code is messing with our brains. How far. I'm still Tryna implement the inline stuff. Don't know why it's not working.
I did
.then((data) => [ results ] = user);
But I'd didn't work

The code enter person brain grin

I’m yet to finish that part shaa.

This is what I have so far. Typing from my head as I’m not on system.
.then (({results}) => {

let [user] = results;

}

Take it easy guys, maybe we are going to be grouped together at the camp now and we will have to work dependently.

Noted bro. It’s painful how people misjudge others
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Andela: IT Training And Job by YorubaEmir: 10:34am On May 08, 2019

And you've started judging. How do you know I'm frustrated? I'm trying to help someone. I even sent a screenshot. I didn't ask for your help. Nwanne, calm down o. Andela with spit you out if you're salty

You’re trying to help someone
You didn’t ask for my help

Don't be like that man. This is not a competition. It's not an exam. We're here to help each other out.

I think you’re frustrated. Don’t pour your frustration on me Biko. Check previous pages , if it were to be a competition will I be sharing screenshots like I’m doing? I referred you to the previous page because someone has posted it and I’m not on system. Please don’t always wait to be spoon fed everytime. It takes nothing to be smart

send a screenshot, with it, I'll know how to direct you.

Editable

const computeBMI = ({weight , height, country}) => {
const countries = 'Chad, Sierra Leone, Mali, Gambia, Uganda, Ghana, Senegal, Somalia, Ivory Coast, Isreal';
let newHeight = height * 0.3048;
let BMIvalue = (weight / (Math.pow(newHeight,2)));

if(countries.indexOf(country) !== -1) {
BMIvalue *= 0.82;
}
return BMIvalue;

};

Also, the computeBMI function is very es6 specific, so refactor well and it'll work guys

Your select is wrong. The class name is “select-text” and should be used as ‘.select-text’ in your querySelector.

You didn’t show me your users array

Follow instructions strictly
Even selector for your Oracle is wrong.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Andela: IT Training And Job by YorubaEmir: 6:07am On May 08, 2019
benedictuyi:
please tak a look at my code. cant figure out wats wrong

Nothing visibly wrong but two things could be wrong. Your users array may not be well structured or your select element is wrong

You might want to show your users array and where you declared your select
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Andela: IT Training And Job by YorubaEmir: 5:48am On May 08, 2019
Gurus in the house. Bet something is wrong with the BMI calculation. I even compared it with the result from my calculator and it’s the same.
