The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has confirmed the arrest of a teacher following a viral video showing the suspect allegedly physically abusing a three-year-old boy at a school in Ikorodu.

The announcement was made in a statement shared on social media on Wednesday.

The video, shared by Oyindamola, who identifies as #dammiedammie35, captured a female teacher slapping the child’s face.

The video was captioned, "Footage from Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu, a teacher named Stella Nwadigo was witnessed mistreating and physically abusing a 3-year-old boy, Abayomi Micheal. The footage has raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of our little ones in school."

Reacting to the incident, the Lagos DSVA issued a statement expressing gratitude to those who brought the video to their attention.

The statement reads, "We appreciate everyone who brought the disturbing incident of a teacher who was recorded physically abusing a 3-year-old boy to our attention.

"We are pleased to inform the public that the teacher in question has been arrested by Owutu FSU, and an investigation has commenced in earnest.

The agency reiterated the state government’s commitment to protecting children, emphasizing that schools must be safe and nurturing spaces.

The statement added, "Indeed, institutions of learning should be safe, warm, and protective environments for all children in their care. The State Government remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every child by enforcing strict regulations, holding offenders accountable, and working with stakeholders to promote a zero-tolerance policy for abuse in any form.

What does cross the line mean?

It’s an English idiom which is not a threat in any way

This shows Peter is a stark illiterate

By the way, if you feel your life is threatened, then file a complaint to the Police, DSS or any other security agency instead of ranting on social media

He can also go to court to ask for protection, but I’m sure he will be educated on what “cross the line” means

I’ve always said he is empty and I’ve also asked anyone to show me any remarkable thing he did in Anambra

All over social media, the people of the state insulted him while he was governor and it is a failure like that they want to present to rule the country? When there are the likes of Umah from the SE?

And to SE, I say, quite unfortunate. 90% of this would have been spent there but the insecurity and kidnapping caused by our own brothers have chased returnees out of the zone lagos and other places benefitted from it. IGR alone wilk be outrageously massive

PoliticsLagos Assembly Approves N3.4 Trillion Budget For 2025 by yoruboid(op):
The Lagos State House of Assembly has approved a N3.37 trillion budget for the year 2025 during a plenary session. The budget includes N1.3 trillion for recurrent expenditure and N2.07 trillion for capital expenditure, set to end on December 31, 2025.

Hon. Sa’ad Olumoh, Chairman of the Joint Committee on Appropriation and Finance, presented the budget report, which was passed following a voice vote by lawmakers under the leadership of Speaker Mudashiru Obasa.

“The passage of this budget reflects the commitment of the Lagos State House of Assembly to ensuring continued growth and development in the state,” said Olumoh, following the approval. Obasa commended the Assembly members for their collaborative efforts in ensuring the swift passage of the budget.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had previously presented a budget proposal of N3.005 trillion on November 21, including a deficit of N408.9 billion, which will be financed through loans and bonds. “We are confident that with strategic financing, this budget will allow us to continue advancing the state’s developmental goals,” Sanwo-Olu stated.

Additionally, the Assembly passed a bill to consolidate all laws relating to local government administration in Lagos, aligning with national legislative changes that impact the state’s local governments.

What impact would he have made from the advise of a mad man? The man is empty. Show me one legacy he left behind in Anambra. Show me one initiative he birthed

Tinubu initiated the Eko Atlantic and Lekki FTZ

He initiated the Lagos rail map, LASTMA, LIRS, LAMATA, LASAA, LASWA, LAWMA etc and all these have gone on to impact on revenues, education, transportation and health. Other states have copied him

Obi is empty and cannot lead his own home. How much more a nation. Show me where his wife campaigned all by herself for him or where any of his children have some out to openly support him or promote him

Even while he was governor, show me one positive comment anyone from Anambra made about him

I’ve watched with utter amusement the threats to cause anarchy and destabilize Nigeria if Obi is arrested

I’ve also seen that the threats are coming from the usual chest beaters

Need I remind you that after MNK threatened the country, called for anarchy, instigated killings and arson, he’s been chilling in prison for 3yrs and counting. He’s also frustrating his own trial

Before he was arrested, the noise of threats that Nigeria will burn were louder than this

Let me just make this clear that this is a country governed by laws and if Obi breaks any of them, he will be arrested and guess what… nothing, I repeat, nothing will happen.
