They used thesame tactics they used for the king of Gobiri then posing as visitors, Afonja also received them warmly despite warnings from people of Ilorin, King Afonja was later killed by the Fulani men led by one Alimi and they then seized control of Ilorin that's why up till today Ilorin which was a Yoruba town is now being ruled by Fulani men. Up till today, you can hear some Ilorin people calling themselves Hausa. These Fulani men didn't stop here, they sent warriors to Oshogbo too also posing as Visitors but due to the help of the then Are ona kakanfo and his warriors who already knew what they were up to, they were defeated in Oshogbo.
