Over years I have seen Nigerian leaders spend so much money on things in my opinion I consider irrelevant e.g A. Spending money on cars for our legislative members. B. In state levels we see governors buying cars for state judges, traditional rulers etc C. Wife of politicians donating huge amounts of money during an event or building houses for people etc My question to some us who are a little bit enlightened in the way government functions, are those money appropriated in the yearly budget or do the government map out miscellaneous expenditures that covers these extravagant spending in a country people struggle daily to eat, most of the people that receives these gift doesn't need especially the car gifts as they already have cars.. Let me hear our opinions on this. |
Golan007:even if Igbos insults other tribes, does it make them less a Nigerian? this entitlement mentality is what drives the Biafra agenda |
Will the Igbos support the igbo presidency based on tribe? I started following Nigerian politics after the demise of Umaru Musa Yaradua and the politics involved in producing his successor, all those drama intrigued me to pay more attention to Nigerian politics and I can say I know little more now. Majority of our igbo people doesn't give a damn who emerges as a Nigerian president, all they care about is the well-being of their family, business, work place or improvement in infrastructure as the case maybe, and the outcome has been so disappointing which activated the nature of "Sidon dey look" unlike other tribes. In other tribes the case is different, their are some tribes in Nigeria that can vote for a dead man, once his/her name is on the ballot paper and is the only one from their tribe, they don't mind, and some can go to the length of doing media sensitization, write too many articles, create too many social media accounts without the said candidate knowing they exist, only to promote their tribe man, all they care about is the bragging rights or the power that is now on the side of their tribe, so if the nation wants to perish let it perish, their belief is that Nigeria is not getting any better, so anything their tribe can do to grab power before it gets worse is to their advantage. So they can promote any anything , once he/she is popular enough, being a convicted criminal, incompetent or not too bright for that position, they don't give a damn, their aim is to grab power at any cost. But my people on the other hand, majority of us look out for who can deliver or choosing the lesser devil among the demons, which has put us in the bad book of Nigerian politics. Now that most tribes are doing the media eye service for an igbo president, my question is can you support an Igbo president based on tribe as other tribes has been doing or will you support based on credibility of the said individual. Note: most credible candidates usually doesn't have the popularity required while the bad one's seem to know lots of people across tribes. YoungEagle. |
A professor of law is the vice president to an illiterate, still got gagged by the illiterate. |

Good day Nairalanders, please those of us living outside the shores of Nigeria, how's the housing scheme over there? Like here in Nigeria almost private companies or individuals owns almost 95% residential accommodation in top cities here. Please if you can detail your response a little more I will be grateful.

They make out monsters out their citizens and slaughter them for their own mistakes, a black man might be a curse to the world. |
People praising Osibanjo makes me sick tho, this is why this country can never move forward, till we have men of integrity and patriotic zeal, that can stick their neck out against all odds to have a stand on something good, we can never make any progress and Osibanjo is point 0 on that. |
This fire the North started will be hard to quench, because the Government seem to have abandoned the people and the people have no choice but to vent in anyway they can. |
These terrorists are using style to take hold of the vital organ of the federation, Nigerian gave them the upper hand, just watch future of those that kicked against the governor |
I think this is my first time of seeing a US ex president campaigning against a sitting president publicly and it happens to be a black man. |
