Politics › Risk Of Neglecting Human Capital Development by youngEmelex(op): 9:15pm On Apr 18, 2025 |
The current trend in Nigeria has been investment of millions of dollars into buildings or renovations eg house of assembly building, VP recidence etc. Millions of dollars are budgeted to maintain the presidential convoy, oversea travel, private jet etc. Millions of dollars are never budgeted to set up irrigation farms, animal pens, mechanized farming tools, mapped out areas for free farming etc. Most food processing companies receive little or no aids from the government. If we continue to neglect investing in what will better the lives of people and continue to invest in structures and buildings, a time will come when hunger will force these people to turn to terrorists |

Politics › Bokoharam May Start Offering Cheap Recruitment by youngEmelex(op): 12:16am On Apr 16, 2025 |
With the rate of hunger in the land, it won't be surprising if BokoHaram can get recruits that they will pay as low as 30k. The higher the poverty rate, the more easier it is to lure the younger ones into crime. While the Nigerian police recruits around 10,000 people yearly, these ones can go for 30,000 or more since the number applying for security jobs is almost times 1000 of the available slots which shows the high unemployment rate in the northeast

Politics › Nigeria May Face Influx Of Terrorists In Future by youngEmelex(op): 12:03am On Apr 16, 2025 |
With the state of Emergency in Niger, Chad, Mali and Burkina-Faso, terrorists may choose to be on the safer side by relocating to countries where the military are not all over the place like in the aforementioned countries. Nigeria becomes their next attractive homeland because of the huge presence of mineral resources and forests where they can easily retire to after launching attacks

Christianity Etc › The Hell They Warned You About by youngEmelex(op): 1:11am On Jan 21, 2025 |
In the late 90s and early 2000, there were thousands of preachers and prophets warning people to repent because judgement was at hand. A lot of people took them for granted but all they warned you about are already here. People are getting kidnapped and killed at random, marriages are crashing, hundreds of disease are everywhere, natural disasters like wildfire, extreme poverty, high level of criminality. Indeed, the hell they warned you about is already here |

Politics › The French Will Return In Africa by youngEmelex(op): 2:41am On Jan 10, 2025 |
I see these African countries expelling the French begging them to return before 2030. Warfare is worn with discipline not with gra gra. By the time their military generals will use the funds for procuring drones and other war equipment to buy plastic nyash and houses for girlfriends, their eyes will open. They will beg for reintegration of French forces even if it means mining their gold for free.

Freetech: .... but how is this epistle by punch help the hungry beggars?
God gave us large expanse of land and favourable weather but what do we do with it?
Why do we need food import from Niger, Cameroon, Benin Republic to feed? Laziness
Reading everything here show that Punch editor is economical with the truth. Expanding problem hiding solution
The root cause of our problem is laziness, prodigy and indiscriminate procreation depleting our $ and doubling our population every 20years.
People are spending 30-40m to japa, where do they get the money from the same Nigeria with the so call dead economy.
More than 20% of our dollar now go to paying of school fees abroad and other frivolities like birthday wedding and senseless vacation in Dubai etc. So government should continue subsidizing $ for them.
Everyone is criticizing, nobody offer solution. Very amusing when Obi the all round failure said he will borrow to sustain subsidy, in a country already using more than 70% of income to service debt A strong valid point u have here |
