Where is the hope? Principals are paid with the final interests. The final coupon was not paid and even other coupons that did not mature but coupon payments are due have also not been paid.

FGSB is supposed to be a kind of fixed income investment with over 90% guarantee so long as Nigeria still exists.

So people invest and plan with it. Its some people's monthly allowance where they feed. Some people plan to pay rent with it. Others plan children school fees and upkeep with it. If they want an uncertain/high risk situation, the stock market is there. At least with that you will take whatever you see.

You said you want to encourage people to save. You want them to trust you and you are pulling this kind of stunt? Wonderful!!!

The situation speaks very loud about something seriously wrong but want to be kept under the radar. All does not seem to be well.

The west lacks communal living. Everybody is on the run and they never stop. 80% of the time they never get what they are chasing. Really? Mr High IQ. FYI Nigeria is an import based economy almost every meaningful thing you use are imported and you ask a silly question. Is 150k even good enough to live on in Nigeria where you pay for healthcare and basic amenities that you don't get including taxes.

Better read and learn than talk rubbish here. How many people even get 150k jobs? How many people get consistently paid through the year without being owed for months? Didn't the price of food increase by over a 100% since this government came in and you talk about purchasing power

The key too your happiness is that you have made things work for you in Nigeria and you are contended.

its wrong to compare a low level worker abroad to a professional in Nigeria , thou in pay they might be equal.

But if someone is making 400K per month in Nigeria the question is how much are you really worth and how much can you make abroad?

If you are a Banker in Nigeria and you go abroad to be a Gateman , then the people from the village are involved.

But if you are a guru in software development earning 400K in Nigeria and with your skills u can work for an IT firm and earn 8K dollars monthly before tax , then may be you should consider it.

Lots of people in Nigeria doing great things and making a lot of money, same thing abroad lots of 25 year olds earning over 100k Dollars per year


But in summary based on logistics abi statistics Nigeria as less opportunities , infrastructure, quality of life than a developed country even the President runs to UK every time for medical check up

You are asking for breakdown yet people stay in 3-bedroom apartments in Oshodi for 500k a year and they had to pay 200k as agency fee. You need to see the ramshackle that is going for 500k in Nigeria. In Lekki phase 1, people rent out their boy's quarters (studio flat more like) for 1M naira. Just look for a $400 per month apartment in Missouri and see what will turn up.

Remember the 1M per year rent BQ is for a so-called big boy in Nigeria and yet he cannot build houses and rent out things to tenants. But on NL, people are starting empires with 100k. LOL
