The course I did in my B.Sc is not a professional course in the health care field and I want a professional course which is why I’m switching to nursing. I have read here that as long as you can explain the switch, it shouldn’t be a problem. Also, it’s not a switch that is completely off base. It’s from Human Anatomy to Nursing.

Thanks for your response sir

Write a strong SOP and Pray. I know someone who did Bsc Anatomy and switched to Practical Nursing. She got PPR. Strong SOP is key! My 2cents

Hi guys!

I hope everyone is fine and keeping heads up with prayers. Here's a video on how I sourced FX and funded my study upkeep and lifestyle here in Canada whilst I was still in Nigeria in my Canadian Bank account using CBN rate as against the killing black market. It's transparent and open for all to see. In implore you to follow/click the link below to my YouTube space:

Hi Dotoracs, I saw your youtube video. I have a question, Was it a GIC account you opened? I don't have a Gmail account so I couldn't comment on youtube

I am so cool with this info. Really helpful.
Gracias.
Regarding cost it living in Canada, do u think $300 will sustain me in Canada for a month?
Better still, how much is your monthly expenses in Canada in term of food, accommodation, transportation, data, electricity and water?

I am not speaking from experience but there's no way $300 a month will be able to sustain you. Your rent alone will be anywhere between 250 and 500 at least depending on province. You still have to eat, transport, pay for utilities, phone bills, miscellaneous.

I'm talking about the consent forms for passport submission.

I should only submit the first picture, and ignore the last two pages right?

Anyone?

Print all pages. Fill only page two: ''Name, Address, Phone number, Email, Signature, Date, City and country"

Seems it's NSE the person used

NSE doesn't work anymore. Even when they were sending NSE requests, applications were taking months to be approved. I believe his/her application was simple with all the requirements met.

Good Day guys. How much is student visa re-application fee now? In naira

Its 150 CAD. The amount in naira will depend on what card you're using to pay for it and the rate at which you're funding the card in naira. It can be anywhere between 50k and 72k in naira

My journey to canada started a while ago, i started researching about this journey in 2019 when i was in final year . On the 30th of June I got admitted to MUN for a thesis based masters program.

Then I applied for passport , normal Nigeria hassle now, i waited for 6 weeks.
Applied: 9th September
Biometrics: 13th September
Ppr: 28th October

Documents
* Sop: 4 pages , I spoke about my past experiences, my final year project and told them the advancement Canada has in the field of renewable energy. Mind you my research is in renewable energy. I spoke about my supervisor’s research works and what we intend to do. I attached letter of confirmation from my undergraduate professor who was final year supervisor and also my IT work place.
* CV
* Transcript
* Waec
* Certificate
* One year tuition fee
* Birth certificate and death certificate of family members
* Nieces birth certificate
* Letter confirming I worked in those places i included in my sop

* PROOF OF FUNDS
* Sponsor:
* My brother in laws 6months bank statements . With an inflow of 700million and outflow of 600million and a balance of 20KCAD which he deposited for my maintenance. He raised a bank draft to avoid lump sum deposits. And he deposited 500K to my account and made a remake: Study permit application fee.
* Affidavit of sponsorship
* Letter of sponsorship indicating he raised a bank draft . I submitted this 3 weeks after through webform

HOME TIE
* I am 23 years old and i no get any thing. I used my sister’s child( i am her godmother) add pictures as proof that i have been her mother ever since her mother( my sister)died during delivery.
* I said i am the only surviving daughter so i said i will come back to mother and my mother will take care of the child.

* Mother ( Expired US visa and valid US)
* Sister( Expired UK visa, KENYA, DUBAI)
Things i did differently; I applied using the IRCC portal not GCkey . For some reasons i couldn’t open a GCKey account
My brother applied over there for me.
Things i did differently SPIRITUALLY. I used his words. His word is yes and amen. I am a Christian and I declared it that i will get it

I am a believer and i used his words. I still remember this morning by 5 am i had a dream that I wasn’t approved . I quoted scriptures and countered it.

Congratulations. Your application was well packaged! Well deserved approval

Hello guys, thank God for me. I got my PPR this afternoon,apparently it's been sitting in my mail since 3.30pm but I had a busy day at work. After work,I went for a program in my church. It was when we closed I checked my phone and realised I had a message in my Gmail.
Lo and behold...there sat my approval since 3.30pm this afternoon.
This was a reapplication and in my previous application, the VO showed concerns about my funds stating he perceived it was for demonstration purpose only(I saw this in my GCMS notes.
Timeline below:
Application submission: 14th sept
BVL and PPR: 27th Oct.
I saw only one ghost update and eligibility never started till after PPR sef.

Since the concern was mainly on finance,all I did was pay a year tuition as against the initial tuition deposit I paid. I perceived that if I claimed I was self sponsored and the money accessible to me,why pay the minimum which was the tuition deposit?
I only submitted MBS for my pof,snip shot of my student account showing one year tuition,upfront medical,IELTS,LOE and new LOA.

Special thanks to all the gurus and everyone taking their time to answer the numerous questions here. For everyone expecting,God will make it speedy and easy for you.

Congratulations Teeprecious

I am not a guru, but from my understanding, if you have done biometrics like you said within the last 10 years, you don't need to redo it. The one you did 3 years ago is still valid

please how much is air bnb per day?

Log on Airbnb website, put in your destination. You will see different places and price to pick from. There's no fixed amount just as hotels don't have a fixed amount.

Hello everyone

Please who has done medicals here recently?

I sent a mail for IOM to schedule me in Lagos but I’m yet to get a response from them.
I’m thinking of going there next week Tuesday to do it whether they schedule me or not but I don’t know if they will attend to me. Especially since it’s a public holiday.

Please i need advice on what to do?

Also who knows how much IOM charges for medicals?

You can't even get into the compound without an appointment.
What you can do is very stressful and might yield no results. Go there in the morning to lobby. They might pass a sheet to write your name and email. Note: You might be there all day!
price is: 46,500 for an adult the last time I checked.

Hello good evening people, I want to ask if it is advisable for someone who wants to resume I January 2022 in Canada to start visa applications by now.Or I should just defer till September. Thanks as I await your reply.

You can start now even for September intake. If you get PPR, it will still be valid by September. The earlier the better
If your application is simple you could be lucky enough to even get PPR early enough for January intake.
Overall, I suggest you start now. You can defer your admission if the PPR doesn't come before resumption in January.

PLEASE THOSE WHO HAVE REQUESTED FOR GCMS NOTES.... I NEED YOUR HELP

I ordered for GCMS and I was sent a consent form to fill... Please I want to ask if I am to fill the section 1 of the form 'the designated representative's information'.
Also, the section for accompanying minor, where will both parents append their signature on the form to support the release of the minor information.
Thank you.

1. Section 1 is not for you to fill. That is where the GCMS rep will fill.
Can you attach a pic of the consent form? Or you can wait for a Guru to attend to this.

Hello,

I just refused my visa. This is my first application and I had up to 30k cad in the statement provided. I had not even done medicals yet.

I do not even know what to do.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and
available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or
program of studies that you intend to pursue.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and
available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family
members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study

So sorry for the delay. Please order your GCMS notes so the full picture of the officer's concerns can be revealed.

I dont want to go for masters now

Ok 10k CAD ONLY FOR UPKEEP AND possibly "1year tuition" how much do you think that would be

BSC is mostly between 16 and 40k CAD depending on school.
Your first search should be the course you want to study and schools that offer it.
I don't know why you don't want to use your degree so I suggest you state why so one of the Gurus can best attend to you. The more you reveal the better. If you don't use your degree, you'd have a 4 year gap you can't account for. That will definitely create a problem for sure.
Note that Your uncle has to have Well above the school fee amount + 10k because his dependents (Wife, Kids etc) will be considered when looking into your POF.

I hope this helps

Hello… pls i asked for my GCkey and they sent me this, is this what the GC key looks like…I attached a photo to it but had to hide my details just Incase

I believe you can use this. You'd have to create a new GC key and link your application to the newly created GC key. You will need your UCI number which you now have some information from the IMM forms you filled. You can do more research on the IRCC website or wait for a Guru to come and attend to you.
Google is your friend. There are also some Youtube videos about it.

Good day my people,
Big congratulations to those that got their PPR, shared their timeline, and/or landing gist. Your stories have been motivating.
For those of us waiting for the PPR, I pray we all get the PPR and study permit in time to resume when we want to without having to defer. Amen.
I came across this thread after submitting my application last month. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best. It is a little easier to wait in a group lol.
For those that were delayed, Please request for your GCMS and re-apply. Don't give up on your dream!
I took time to read the entire part 20 and about 15 pages of part 19 lol. I invested every little spare time I had since last weekend when I saw the thread.
I decided to open an account Yesterday, and from the little knowledge I have gained via reading through the thread, I'd try as much as I can to answer questions of other newbies like me lol

@Ketima, your story came with a lot of nerve-racking suspense lol. I was tempted to cheat several times by scrolling forward to see if you have testified.

@Frankrobbn1, The Guru, the prof, the elder lol. You are rare, you think like an IRCC officer lol. Thank you so much for all your guide, advice, and for always finding time to respond to questions from the thread. I appreciate you, sir
@Lekiboboe, you're doing a great job. I am always eager to see your input
@Anon123, Thank you so much, you're doing us a great favor. I really appreciate all your input, sir.
@Lianna2020, Congrats and thank you for staying with us. I appreciate you.
@Lobinche101, so sorry for the delay, don't lose hope, you already know what to do next. Please re-fire asap
@TheGbemisola, well-done, your PPR is coming.
@viviangogos, Don't worry, your PPR is here already. God can see all the good job you're doing for others. Thank you
@RollyA, your refusal pained me. Please update us when you can. I know it will end in praise. I can feel it

Thank you to other Gurus and upcoming gurus in the house. I'm sorry but you all know I can't mention you all. May God reward you all.

ADVICE:
Please don't be stingy with Timeline, Landing gist, even rejection. Please share and share your timeline, ask for help. Even if you got your PPR already and we're not aware, please share. You have no idea how much we can learn from sharing and assisting each other.

Thank you.
