"I did the examination very well but still failed" . Have you ever been guilty of this statement? If yes, then you must read this article to the end. You might have written the examination perfectly but you have failed to take note of some mistakes that cost you lots of mark. This is one of the reasons why students fail examinations. What are these costly mistakes you need to avoid during examination?, see them below. #1. READING THE WRONG QUESTION There is no way you can give the correct answer to the wrong question. What do I mean by this? Take a look at some of the questions that involves the word "NOT". You might be asked, "Which of the following is not a verb?" and you are provided with the options (a) Read (b) Book (c) Jump (d) Write. A lot of student will choose option A immediately without checking other options. Why? Because they thought the question was "Which of the following is a verb?". I was once a victim of this occurrence. I discovered it is due to fear or being in a rush while reading the question. You can read my article on "6 Sure Ways To Overcome Examination Fear". What to do: Read each question carefully at least twice and make sure you understand it. #2. ANSWERING QUESTIONS OUTGOING OF POINT Students fail examination because they have failed to answer questions within the required course. Some students want to explain more than required. As a result, they write out of point. You might think you will bag some bonus marks by including additional explanation but end up scoring very low. Do not misquote! It is not a bad idea giving additional information in your answers but ensure you do not write out of point . You might be writing something meaningful but does not fit into the question asked. While some markers like this, most don't . Since you don't know the type of person that will mark your examination, the best thing to do is to avoid it. What to do: Don't write unnecessary information unless it is within the course of the question. Ensure you write answers that suits the questions asked. #3. ATTEMPTING DIFFICULT QUESTIONS FIRST Another costly mistake students make is leaving simple questions untouched and attempting difficult ones first. This is a very bad idea that you should not even think of. You might be thinking "Why shouldn't I solve harder ones when my brain is not stressed and come back to the easier ones?". Take a look at some of the reasons why you should not do it below. -It wastes your time. -If you solve easier ones first and you are at least sure of getting them right, it keeps your body motivated and improve your brain function to solve difficult ones. -If you solve difficult ones first and you don't get them, you become frustrated that you won't be able to solve even the so-called easier ones. -Ask yourself, what is the probability of getting the difficult questions right when eventually you don't have time to solve simpler questions. Have you now seen the reason why you should not solve difficult questions first and the negative effects of doing so? What to do : Solve easier questions first. It will help you to bag enough marks and save time to come back to difficult ones. #4. LACK OF PROPER TIME PLANNING Time planning is another factor you must consider during examinations. Take a look at the JAMB that was just concluded where candidates are given 120minutes to solve 180 questions. This means that candidates have two-third minute(40seconds) to solve each question. Depending on the subject, you might decide to use 60seconds for calculation-based subjects like Physics and Mathematics and 20-30seconds for theory-based subjects. As the case might be, lack of time planning is another common mistake students are found guilty of. Students use more that the proposed time for each question. As a result, they waste their time only to be left without a lot of question with with little time to solve them. This which I won't want you to fall victim of is what you must consider. What to do : Do proper research on the number of question and amount of time that will be given. Plan your time and don't use more than the proposed time on each question. If you discover you are wasting too much time on a question, move on to the next question. You must ensure you come back to it when you are through with other questions. #5. YOU FAILED TO CROSS-CHECK No man is born mistake-free. Students are liable to make mistakes during examination. The real mistake however is when student fail to correct their mistakes. Have you ever written an examination that you felt you should cross-check and something tells you you don't need to?. This might be because you are in a rush or you want to do something after the examination. Don't make this mistake! What to do : Ensure you cross-check your answers to see if there is any mistakes. NOTE : Don't be in a rush while cross-checking, take your time!. #6. NOT HEEDING INSTRUCTIONS Students also make the the mistake of neglecting instruction during examination. You might think examiners don't take it serious, but yes they do!. Each instruction given to you in the examination hall determines whether you pass or not. What to do: Always heed instructions. Don't start when you are not told to, if you are told to answer 4 questions, don't attempt 5questions. Source: http://www.hilearners.com/2017/07/mistakes-students-make-during-examination.html

Successful people did not just wake up and arrive where they are today, there are some qualities that differentiate them from others. After careful observation, I have discovered the qualities of successful people which I think you need to know. To cut the long story short, successful people: Source: http://www.hilearners.com #1. BELIEVE IN SOMETHING AND LIVE IT Most people believe in something but only few live it while others don't believe at all. Success is about believing and living your life in that path. "I believe it is easier to believe that to doubt". Believing is very easy compared to living it. You believe you'll become a doctor, but are you living the life of a future doctor?. This is the first question you should ask yourself. #2. ARE DETERMINED AND FOCUSED I must tell you that determination and focus are important qualities of every successful man in life. They don't give up on their trials but keep going. They are only focused on what they want to achieve and will do anything to achieve it. #3. ARE ACTIVE LEARNERS Successful people learn with every single opportunity they get. They understand the power of knowledge. The more knowledgeable you are, the more your chances of succeeding. Yes! That is the fact. Learning in life is not limited to education aspect only, it involves every aspect of living. #4. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS Successful people always take responsibility for their positive and negative actions in life. They don't blame others for their wrongdoings. They believe their growth or decline lies only in the hand and not others. They don't give excuses for their mistakes in life. #5. HAVE SELF-CONFIDENCE Confidence is a key-word among successful people. They are self-assured and certain in everything they do. With confidence, you have won achieved everything without starting but without confidence, you will be defeated twice. Nothing can be achieved without hope and confidence. #6. ARE AMBITIOUS Is it possible to be successful when you don't have the desire to achieve something in life? Capital NO!. Success doesn't seek you, you seek it with eagerness even Continue reading: http://www.hilearners.com/2017/07/11-secret-attributes-of-successful-people-in-life.html |
thickminaj:People or few exceptions who are lucky. |
Wire wire and living things, I don't know what they mean. But sase of a thing is an illegal source of income, they aren't wasting their life but heaven which is a greater loss. |
A lot of people have ended up their lives in vain without achieving anything. This vanity is not a day event but a compilation of their thoughts and actions throughout their lives. Am I actually doing the right thing? is the question that should come to your mind. Therefore, I have decided to write this article to give you the answer to your question. #1. YOU DON'T HAVE A GOAL What is your goal in life? Everybody says "I want to become a doctor,nurse,accountant,engineer,lawyer..". Have you asked yourself the question "What do I want to become?". If yes, have you come to a conclusion?. My article on "4 important questions to ask yourself before choosing a course" is the perfect guide to help you choose the right course. What to do : Make the right decision today, nobody is too young to dream. #2. YOU ARE NOT WORKING TOWARDS YOUR GOAL Well done is better that well said. Dreams are not fulfilled until they become a reality. Your wish to become a doctor does not make you a doctor. You should be focused, determined and work hard towards achieving your goal. What to do: Work towards your goal, don't rest until you achieve it. #3. YOU WASTE YOUR TIME ON SOCIAL MEDIA Social media has taken up the time of most people. If you spend the lion's share of your time on your Facebook or Instagram timeline, liking and commenting on other people's post, you are wasting your time. Ask yourself "What do I stand to lose if I don't use my social media accounts? " Nothing!. What have I gained by using my social media accounts? Nothing!. If one or both of your answers is the same as mine, then I see no reason why you should spend most of your time on it. What to do: Manage your time well, spend little or no time on social media. #4. YOU ARE FOND OF PROCRASTINATING The habit of postponing what should be done is a true sign that you are wasting your life. If you have goals and you procrastinate, you will end up with nothing. However, if you have goal and take action, you will have anything you want. Procrastination will only make easier tasks hard and hard ones harder. What to do: Start taking actions today and avoid procrastination. #5. YOU LIVE OTHER PEOPLE'S LIFE If you are spending your time trying to be like others, you begin to lose your real self. This is self-betrayal and it is the worst form of betrayal. What you have in you is enough to take you to greater heights than that of whom you are living to become. What to do : Continue reading:- http://www.hilearners.com/2017/06/10-signs-you-are-wasting-your-life-and.html

After careful observation and research, I have come up with mistakes readers make while reading. These mistakes, if not avoid can minimize reading effectiveness. So, I have decided to write this article. 1. FOCUSING ON QUANTITY RATHER THAN QUALITY Let me ask you a question, which do you prefer between the two options below? A. Reading one topic per day and you understand and remember everything in the topic B. Reading four topics per day and can only remember few. Definitely A! It is better to read few things and remember everything than read a lot and remember few. Quality first, then quantity. Don't focus on quantity until you are sure of the efficiency of your reading. 2. READING AFTER LOSING CONCENTRATION After reading for a long period of time, you tend to lose concentration. At this moment, your brain loses its retaining ability and you discover you don't understand what you are reading again. When this happens, stop reading temporarily, take some minutes break so that your brain can recover quickly. What if you are having an important examination to read for and you've got little time to prepare? Don't worry, my article on... You might be competent, skilled and capable of doing this job. But, making one of this terrible job interview mistakes can make you lose the job. I don't want you to waste your time and energy because getting qualified for a job interview is in most cases not easy. Everything that happens during the interview will be duly observed by the interviewer, so do not make these mistakes: 1. LATE ARRIVAL Arriving late to a job interview is a sure way to piss your interviewers off. It is a very terrible mistake you don't want to make if you really want to get employed. Try to get to the venue as early as 10-15 minutes before the interview starts. It will not only increase your chances of getting employed but will also help you to settle your body system down for the task ahead of you. 2. UNFIT DRESSING The way you dress is another important factor that will be considered. Dress according to the post your are applying for but don't forget to stay formal and professional in your dressing. Don't make the mistake of dressing indecently to a job interview!. 3. SHOWING OFF Another thing that can deny you the opportunity of getting employed is pride during the job interview. No matter how good you are, don't be egoistic and keep your cool. You don't need to boast about yourself before they discover what you have in you to give out, this is what most people have failed to realize. The more you show off, the more your interviewer tries to get you out of the line, nobody wants to deal with proud people. 4. USING FALSE C.V FACTS After submitting your C.V, some interviewers will present a fill-in form for you to fill on what is on your C.V such as your contact information, graduation date, years of experience, educational background e.t.c to see if it is the same with the one you submitted. So, don't make this useless mistake of submitting false C.V. 5. USING YOUR PHONE Using your phone during an interview is a sign that you are not diligent and devoted to work. By doing this, you are passing a message that you are not following up with the interview. Try to avoid picking phone calls, you can just activate the "Silent mode" or switch off your phone. Picking up your phone during an interview is a sign that you are not attentive. Challenges as seen by me are stepping stones to success when we overcome them. Challenges are necessary events in the life of every man. I see it as obstacles in which when I overcome them, become a stepping stone to success. Don't see it as an hindrance to success but rather as an aid which hastens success. However, this is only possible when you overcome them. How do I overcome tough times and move on? is the question that strikes my mind whenever am facing a challenge. My actions and thoughts after this question act as a catalyst to speed up the rate at which I overcome tough times. As a result, I have decided to share these actions and thoughts with you through this article. 1. PEOPLE HAVE FACED SIMILAR CHALLENGES What you are facing right now is not the toughest challenge and people have faced it before. I tell myself "Those who overcame it are also human beings like me, so can I". This mindset is the first key to overcoming tough times. It will help to get your mind set for the challenge you are facing. 2. EVERY CHALLENGE HAS A SOLUTIKN There is no challenge without solution, you just haven't found the solution. It is now your responsibility to act and find the solution. When you know there's a solution, you are somehow less disturbed. Now that you have realised there is a solution to your challenge and overcoming it can help you turn the challenge to an aid to success, how do you find the solution? is the next question I will deal with in this article. 3. BE OPTIMISTIC When you believe everything will be alright, you have just taken a step out of your tough time. Admit that things aren't going smoothly now but tough times don't last. Remember it is just a matter of time, you will overcome this challenge. Keeping this in mind will help you summon your courage and strength to overcome whatever challenge you are facing. 4. CHAT WITH OTHER PEOPLE This is the time to communicate with other people especially those that have faced similar issues. You shouldn't keep challenges to yourself thinking you can solve it alone. However, you have to be choosy in order not to communicate with the wrong people. Pick someone as a mentor who can tell you about what you are facing, chat with people that will motivate you and help you not those that will let you down. If you can't find any mentor around you, you can use the comment box below to share your challenge and let's discuss or contact me personally. Many undergraduates and graduates are regretting due to their choice of course today. They have failed to consider some essential facts while choosing a field of study. This is usually due to influence by parents, friends and family members. As this decision is a sensitive one that determines the future of a man, I have decided to write this article today so that you will not make a decision with a regretful end. If you are at the point of choosing a field of study, the following are the questions you should ask yourself. 1. DO I HAVE PASSION FOR THIS COURSE? The word "PASSION" is irresistible and should never be underestimated. Choosing a course without desire often lead to regret. If you have passion for computer and internet and hate biology, it will be best to go for Computer science or engineering. Don't be influenced by other people's decision to go for Biology-ralated course like medicine and surgery when you don't like biology. If you like chemistry, then you shod choose it's related courses like Pharmacy, Biochemistry Chemical engineering e.t.c. Passion for a course should be considered first because: -Course you have passion for are usually easier to study -Courses you don't have passion for are usually harder 2. AM I CAPABLE TO STUDENTS THIS COURSE? Your ability is best known to you. Consider an average or below average student choosing Medicine and Surgery. What happens? It will be difficult for such a person to cope with the course requirement which eventually leads to failure. So, consider your ability, how much you can read, your retentive capability before choosing a course. 3. HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO STUDENTS THIS COURSE? "Money" is another important thing to consider while choosing a course. Consider the standard of living of your parents or your sponsor. Courses that involves more practical and expensive such as Anatomy, Medicine, Animal-related Courses should not be chosen by someone with a low standard of living. It will affect you during your period of study. 4. WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THIS COURSE IN THE ECONOMY? I'll break this question down into two parts: A. Is employment readily or rarely available? B. How much will I get paid after getting a job? A. Hot cake Courses like medicine, pharmacy, law, chemical engineering, computer engineering, Mass communication, civil engineer, nursing e.t.c have high demand in the Labour market while Courses like religious study, music, zoology, sports, sociology and geography are not marketable. So, choose Courses that are in high demand in labour market. B. Everybody wants to earn some cool cash. Nobody wants to graduate and start earning #20,000-30,000 yearly. While some courses pays greatly, others are manageable. Everybody wants to earn hundreds of thousands yearly. Hot cake Courses mentioned above can fetch you such cash. So, choose a course that pays so you won't regret in life. However, geographical location should also be considered because a course which pays in Nigeria may not pay in USA. I believe if you can consider the questions above, you will make the best decision in choosing a course for study. Source: http://classicinfospot..com/2017/05/Guide-to-choose-the-right-course.html |

op you that ur not doing all this are you successful? People do worst than this and have good lives....
