Yyeske: You know something I love about your posts, you were more diplomatic in telling me not to support my candidate unlike others who will threaten me about IPOB, Biafra and Obiano but FYI, he's coming back and I know this your subtle threat and so called enemies is all because of my hate for IPOB miscreants at the same time. You try small in your manner of approach but that will not deter me from expressing myself Thanks for the subtle compliments which am aware of already, but please tone down the expression bc instead of lobbying voters with that it Chases them away. Let's put it this way you're a liability to his campaign. |

River Niger isn't too far or use the nearest well as the case may be. I never knew my actions were actually touching some nerves, my dear, you can as well sit in your house that day with your nsala and those of us who want him will go vote. Nobody is begging you and you can as well start hating him from this moment. Anything that makes you sleep. Just be advised you're not doing Obiano any good by openly supporting him on nairaland. You're a number one enemy of Anambrarians and at large ndiigbo. Not necessarily your ofe nsala inspiration. Your enemies you've made are already at your work hehehe |

You've made more enemies than friends and supporting Obiano will make neutrals like me hate Obiano and might loose interest supporting him. |

What a foolish and wishful thinking. But some will pretentiously act like they love the president. My opinions though. |

omofunaab: See, i get your point.
But i will still maintain it that Egun are sub division of yoruba, everybody migrated from somewhere somewhere . In history there's something we call acculturation , the eguns have acculturated hence they are regarded as yoruba sub group.. They speak Yoruba has their second language, have yoruba names.
Can you also say the ijebus are not yorubas because they migrated from Sudan? Itsekiris migrated from ile Ife but they can't be considered as a yoruba sub division because their culture and tradition has changed over time. You are now shifting from what you earlier said... Besides they are not a sub group of Yoruba.. Don't you get it... Egun are not Yoruba. Stop the attachee They have their own history devoid of ife. Lemme quote them from source. The Ogu people were settlers in the old Dahomey presently known as Republic of Benin. Oral history has it that the Ogu people are a descendant of those who migrated from Whydah, Allada and Weme which are now part of the Republic of Benin as a result of the Dahomean War that occurred during the 18th century. According to Mesawaku, a historian; the Ogu people migrated to Badagry as early as the 15th century due to the need for security. |

omofunaab: Lagos has always been a yoruba state..
Maybe you need us to deport you guys again to serve as a reminder as to who actually owns Lagos Really? While Lagos govt have been dumping your asses, I will bring you evidence shortly... Here, fashola gave an unreserved apology to the Igbos for deporting them... He even acknowledged that the Igbos gave him the largest cattle when his father died, what a heart of gold from the Igbos.. Here him please Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) on Thursday offered an unreserved apology for the misunderstanding generated by the alleged deportation of some destitutes to Onitsha, Anambra State.
The state government was accused of dumping 70 beggars at Onitsha Bridge on July 24, a situation that generated public outcry and bad blood.
The government had said it relocated the 14 people to Onitsha after rehabilitating them, but the explanations did not appease the aggrieved Igbos. who felt they were being badly treated.
Fashola, who spoke at the silver jubilee of the Igbo socio-cultural think tank, Aka Ikenga held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, insisted he has no problems with the Igbos.
He noted that the largest herds of cattle he received when his father died was from the Igbos.
At the event were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Ayim, who represented President Goodluck Jonathan; House of Representatives Deputy Speaker, Chief Emeka Ihedioha; Catholic Bishop, Mathew Kuka; former Minister, Gen. Ike Nwachukwu; President Aka Ikenga, Goddy Uwazurike; former ambassador George Obiozor and President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Gary Enwo-Igariwey.
Others included the former President Aka Ikenga, Chief Chris Asodoka; Director, Lagos Business School, Prof. Pat Utomi; Captain Emma Iheanacho; Nollywood artistes, Onyeka Onwenu and Kanayo O. Kanayo.
Fashola said: “I came here to say to say thank you for the honour done to my family and the memory of my late father.
“People who clearly do not understand the actions taken and words spoken are those I owe an explanation. I cannot take the Igbos for granted because we have built a relationship based on tolerance, mutual respect, love and trust. That relationship was built by our ancestors and I put a lot of value in that relationship.
“I offer an unreserved apology if the actions taken had been misunderstood. Yorubas claim they owned Lagos but the Lagos government have been deporting them without apology... See this Lagos ‘deports’ fresh 46 destitute to Osun ON AUGUST 8, 201312:30
Osun State Government, yesterday, said it received 46 additional destitute including two children evacuated from Lagos State. Receiving the destitute at the National Youth Development Centre, Ode-Omu, yesterday, the Special Adviser to Governor Rauf Aregbesola on Youths, Sports and Special Needs, Hon. Biyi Odunlade said that the state government has no option than to take care of its citizens in any part of the country.
His words; “We were invited by Lagos State to pick our brothers and sisters who were destitute and 46 persons were brought, out of which we discovered that just 26 of them are actually indigenes of the state, comprising of 19 males and five females with two children who are from different local governments in the state. “It is our responsibility to take the matter up because Governor Aregbesola believes in quick and responsible action, and that is why the state government insisted that any time Lagos invited us for their evacuation, we respond on good time.

Lagos deports yorubas too to ogun See this too.. The alleged dumping of the destitute by Lagos State government to Ogun State last month is still generating controversy and may renew the simmering rivalry between the two states, PUNCH METRO has gathered.
Officials of the Ogun State Government said it was embarrassing and unfortunate that Lagos State government officials took about 70 destitute wandering on the streets of Lagos and dumped them in Abeokuta on May 11 without finding out their state of origin.
Our correspondents gathered that the destitute arrived in six buses around 2.30am and were dumped at Ita Oshin end of Abeokuta North Local Government. The Chairman of the local government, Alhaji Abeeb Ajayi, who received them, expressed sadness at the development.
According to some of the destitute who spoke with PUNCH METRO, they were picked up from the streets, kept in the rehabilitation camp in Majidun, Lagos, for some months before they were transferred to the Ogun State capital.
While most of them admitted that they were from Ogun State, a sizable number of them claimed they were from Ondo.
After being fed with bread, the destitute were transferred and settled at a temporary shelter at the Juvenile Remand Home, Asero.
The Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Tomi Soboyejo, was livid with anger as she described the dumping of the destitute as unbecoming of Lagos State. Read more at: http://www.nigerianbestforum.com/generaltopics/lagos-ogun-trade-blame-over-dumping-of-the-destitute/ Lagos government even deported their own to Onitsha to the extent that a Lagos indigent was affected... Hear his story Mr. Edward Adeniyi is from Lagos State, but among those taken to Onitsha. He told Saturday Sun: "I am Mr. Edward Adeniyi from Western Avenue (Ojuelegba), Lagos. I am a Loto agent until I was arrested and sent to the prison after which I found myself in Onitsha, in the East. I was arrested in May, around Mile 2. I was coming from Maza Maza, where I went to sell Loto printout.
Read more at: http://odili.net/news/source/2012/sep/29/508.html Finally, the Igbos helped in curbing that illegal menace of deporting Nigerians by the exposure it gave to it. It should also be known that the Northerners where not left out of the scheme but I didn't mention it bc is not in my scope... Here the anambra state government acknowledges the apology on behalf of the Igbos. The recent apology by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State over the ‘deportation’ of 72 destitute to Onitsha on July 24, has been described as ‘courageous’ by the Anambra State Government.
The purported deportation had led to a public spat between the governments of both states as they traded blames over who was responsible for the security and welfare of the affected citizens.
However, some weeks after the heat generated by the alleged deportation had died down, Gov. Fashola, while speaking at the Silver Jubilee symposium of Igbo think tank, ‘Aka Ikenga,’ at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Lagos, insisted that the action of his government was ‘misunderstood’ and that he could not allow the differences on the matter tarnish the bond and friendship that were built overtime with the Ndigbo in the state.
He was quoted as saying among others, “Those, who misunderstand that relationship think that there is no value in that relationship; I have come here to correct that because I place a lot of value on that relationship. If those people have misunderstood me or they have misunderstood actions taken by our government, here, now and today, I offer an unqualified and unreserved apology.”
A statement on Friday by the Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Mr Oseloka Obaze, stated that there was no need trying to parse the apology.
“As regards Governor Fashola’s apology to the Igbo, he apologised and that is it. There is no need trying to parse his apology as some are trying to do.
“The governor has shown himself to be a courageous, noble and an honourable man. As a politician, he is a blessing to Lagos State and Nigeria,” the statement said.

omofunaab: Listen to yourself again, Linda ikeji is better than Seun but here you are on nairaland owned by the same Seun with more than two monikers. ...smh for you.
You need to read up the history of Lagos and save yourself from ignorance . major parts of belongs to the aworis, others to the ijebus and badagry to the eguns.
The eguns are a sub division of yoruba .
They are eguns everywhere, they are in ipokia local government in ogun state and imeko afon etc they are yorubas, most of them have yoruba names.. Their first language is egun while second is yoruba.
It's just like saying akoko's are not yoruba.
Now to be honest with you, only Benin to have a history with lagos due to the fact that Lagos was once under the Benin empire and they were paying tribute to Benin.
They awori accepted an edo prince as their ruler, he was assisted by obanikoro, eletu odibo and other chiefs from Benin.
Lagos has always been a yoruba state..
Maybe you need us to deport you guys again to serve as a reminder as to who actually owns Lagos You are wrong with egun people... This is from Wikipedia. The Ogu people, sometimes called Egun people, are an ethnic group located majorly in Lagos and Ogun State in the South-Western part of Nigeria. The Ogu people have varieties of dialects including Thevi, Whla, Seto and Toli and they also account for about 15% of the indigenous population of Lagos State.[1] Enough of all this wanton lies meant to deceive people... Egun people are never Yoruba |
