PressMyButton:

We have 20% stakes in his refinery, made cheaper loans to him and supplied crude oil in naira. Dangote appreciates the gesture and we appreciate him bringing down diesel price. There's no friction between Dangote and FG, it's only wailers looking for senseless and sensational headlines to begin the usual round of wailings.

You can't be engulfing a whole 20% stake and still wants to be spoon fed...
Nigga that's a foolish one if you think you will benefit from the stake as a common man.

These APC people talk and reason just like a clown mad fellows. What's the economic advantage of the house on the right of way.

The road has more economic importance than the house.

The scenario is totally different and every reasonable person will note the difference.

Having said that the coastal road is a misplaced priority at this moment and obi is right why build a brand new road when there is dilapidated road looking for finance. Why the rush?

This government is plainly not for the people.

Ask him, the short term goal, mid term and long term goals and see him shivering but he can mention liquidity everywhere with no substantial value attached to it.

jude79:

Stop embarrassing yourself, even obi's alma mater, christ the king secondary school, onitsha, owned by catholic, but were all under government because government took over all mission schools, in 1970, this represent 82% of public primary schools in anambara standing at 1260 as of 2005/6, obi came and changed the whole education policy, handing the maintainance of schools back to missionaries, while retaining payment of salary to teachers and upgrading the schools, here's how he did it

The N6 billion will be shared among the Catholic, Anglican and remaining government schools in four instalments. In the first instalment, the Catholic Church, which owns a lionā€™s share of 453 schools, will receive over N762 million, while its Anglican counterpart will receive over N498 million. The remaining public schools not taken from the churches will share about N489 million out of a total of N1.75 billion.

The second and third instalments will gulp N1.25 billion each, while the fourth and last instalment will cost the government N1.75 billion.

I hope you read it well like nursery school kids repeat nursery rhymes, even though i doubt whether an agbadorian can accept realities, even if you shows it to him a thousand times

They will never hear.

Obi intervened when the school was left to ruin and returned it back to the church for management while government bears the cost

Public knowledge my foot, you dirty illiterate. What Obi did was donations, that's why you see him taking pictures. Donation is a normal practice, anyone who has the capacity donates to schools, old students make donations, church members do too, lots of people do.

That's why it's a missionary and government partnership model and donations from private individuals are not refused.

For your own good if you like before you go crazy government still pays teachers salary.

Government Co own those schools.

When obi finished his tenure he still in his philanthropy lifestyle still donates like a private citizen he doesn't pay their salary but the state government does that part.

Know this and know peace, you can only confuse yourself if you may šŸ¤”

To shock you. Anambra public school students don't pay school fees until jss3grin cheesy

I have been looking for who to ponder this issue with me.

Iā€™m so uncomfortable with Peter Obiā€™s policy of focusing on only the northern poor people to provide them with water. In my own hometown of Aboh, we donā€™t have boreholes and would gladly love to get water courtesy of Peter Obiā€™s benevolence.

The idea that if one could only be a ā€œnationalistā€ if one prioritized and solved only the problems of the northern poor. Both northern or southern Presidents except perhaps Tinubu prioritized northern Nigeria to their profound miscalculation and folly. Goodluck Johnathan tried the same strategy and also failed woefully like Zik before him. Peter Obi must understand that Nnamdi Azikiwe was born in Zungeru in northern Nigeria. He spoke Hausa better than he spoke Igbo. He prioritized the welfare of northern Nigerians and willingly gave the Prime Ministerial position to the north and took a ceremonial President role. After all that, it didnā€™t make any northerner not to see Zik as Igbo and still supported even the least competent northerner instead of Zik.

Someone should point out to Peter Obi that many communities in Ekwusigo,Ogboji, Achina, Umunze, Ogbunka also have severe challenges with portable water and would be happy to benefit from his boreholes benevolence. Not to mention some communities in Opi, Ede-Oballa, Ehamufu, Ezzamgbo, Okpanku, in northern Igboland where portable water has been a challenge for more than 60 years. These people are frustrated that they are neither remembered by the FG nor our own Peter Obi. Instead it is the same northerners favoured in every Federal government project in the Nigeria that again are the benefactors of every good thing offered by even non-northerners like Peter Obi! Please we should stop taking the southern communities for granted!

Meanwhile it is clear that Peter Obi won the 2023 presidential elections. Till date, the tallied votes on Rivers State IREV portal shows Peter Obi won in Rivers State. Yet his mandate was stolen by INEC and given to those who the Godfathers of Nigeria wanted. What guarantee is there that in 2027, even if Peter Obi wins by a bigger landslide than in 2023, INEC would not do the same thing and the Supreme Court of Injustice would cement the heist.

What I expected was a concerted effort to ensure that INEC only conducted elections but cannot declare winners because that role is outside their legal role as an election umpire.

Water is not the problem in the east than what is obtained up north.

Let's commend him in the area of supporting our schools... The last time he gave a school 10million just few weeks back.
Thank sir
