Hello, it is well with your baby in Jesus name. Just this week my mum n I were talking abt convulsions. My baby was gnashing her teeth so I was gisting my mum abt it, dat lead to the convulsion gist. She was like pple in d village treat convulsion in babies by using d mother's urine to wash the baby from head to toe. She swore dat it works.
U cld try it o, if it not too irriting for u.but I am all for trying anything to help the baby.

God's gentle peace and love on your child in Jesus name.

Gd evening nairaland mamas. Pls I need ur input on an argument I had with my husband yesterday.

So I lost my job at d bank where i worked(mass retrenchment) some few months b4 I gave birth, now d baby is seven months old, I am getting tired of sitting at home. So I told my husband that I wanted to intern at a law firm at least to refresh my memory of all d legal stuff I hv forgotten as a result of working in d banking sector for long. At least if I don't get a good paying job I cld b practising solo since most law firms don't pay well in abj here.
I told my husband we wld hv to place dd in a creche, he refused o dear mamas dat he cannot b paying for creche when I am not working dat I hv to contribute to d creche fees. Dat unless I'm being paid I cannot intern.

I discussed dis with my mum however, she maintained dat creche fees is just d same as schl fees and that it is a man's duty to pay schl fees, dat even if I am working I shld never do dat. Except my husband is really broke.

Mamas what Do u think cos dh was arguing like its a must I shld contribute.

Pls I need help urgently
Its well with your baby in Jesus name. You can check Zankli hospital at Utako, the co-owner( the owner's wife) is an experienced pediatrican. Though the hospital services r a bit high.
I hv also heard of an hospital called 'angelic care' in Area 3 Abuja, don't know abt der fees though. Please If u r reading this now, I think u shld take ur baby to d hospital immediately sha, in case its an emergency any doctor cld stabilise d baby first b4 a pediatrician is available.

Lovely weekend to everyone. Pls what can I give my six months old baby to ease passage of her stool apart from water.
I think she's having constipation, she's been straining to pass stool since yesterday.

I also want to ask if the food she's taking could be d cause(nutriben and NAN2), this is d second time she's having d constipation issue this month. We were on EBF just started dis with her when she clocked six months.

Pls any suggestion?

Good morning Sabi Mamas,my son will be 3months on the 21st of this month. I will be resuming work on the 24th of this month so I had to start him on infant formula NAN 1,he was taking it so well at first but for the past 10days now I practically fight with him before he even takes 60mls. I think his appetite kinda reduced, because he doesn't also suck the way he used to,once I put him to breast,he sucks a little and sleeps off. He eats little and sleeps so much right now,in the past he can't sleep straight 2hrs and he had bad colic plus reflux. So I am wondering, could it be growth spurt or do I need to try another milk?

NB: He is still very very active,no fever or any sign of him being sick. I think he feels very light though

Biko help me o put mouth in this matter as I am so worried.
Hello,I suggest you take d baby to a pediatrian. Maybe run a malaria test too. When my baby's appetite reduced though she was still very active I took her to d hospital n d doctor suggested a malaria test which turned out positive. Once I treated d malaria, her appetite increased n feeding went back to normal.

I'm currently battling with the same thing

Sometimes I feel like including "married" in my cv is what is not giving me a job. But then again, it's always best they know these things first hand before they say you lied

I know we will both get a job.
Make we continue to look on God while we send in applications
Yes o, der r some organization that just been a woman makes it difficult to get a job with them not to talk of being a *married woman*.

I had that experience when I was looking for a law firm to serve (nysc) I was told bluntly that d principal partner(CEO) doesn't hire women o that women always hv one issue or d other,or always running after family stuff. Was told d few female lawyers there where those who came with connections I.e d connect must b his BIG Clients of whom he is assured who always give him big legal briefs.

I read this story on bellanaija today. Lord Jesus, hw cld someone do this to a child and one with special needs for that matter. To think the woman abuser got away with this.

Pls mothers, let's be careful and viligant abt the pple we leave our children in their care and always watch out for change in our kids behaviors once we leave them in care of other pple.

Kia, a wicked world we leave in.

In Limi Hospital Abuja, we paid 8500 for rota virus
The only time i paid for PCV was at his 14th week immunization and it was 10,500

We are also under insurance so most of the immunization is taken care of by the HMO

Don't know about the ones past 14weeks cos we haven't taken them yet.

I find that the temperature for baby care can be quite high ie 60c or 90c so I stopped using it years back because it faded out the clothes!
OK, thanks alot

If you set the machine right you shouldn't have any problems!

You can use quick wash and ensure the temperature isn't above 30c. Also try the hand wash settings! It may work for your situation. You can also decide not to spin the clothes in the machine.

I spin mine though and when I had opportunity to use dryer on the clothes I used it with no damage to my baby clothes

I use persil and I've used tide laundry detergent before! They're both alright in my opinion
Thanks a lot. Mine has a button called baby care , can I use that one too?

TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by yseries: 12:18pm On Aug 21, 2016
Hello, please I want to know my chances of getting a US visa. I have been married for a year now. I intend to apply for a us visa for my 3months old baby, my mum and myself. Hubby won't be following us because of the nature of his work(owns a business). I wanted to know my chances because my mum and I have never traveled outside nigeria before, although I have a bank job as a junior officer though(salary abt 100k), hubby will be sponsoring my trip and my mum would be sponsoring herself since she is a federal civil servant(grade 14). would we be granted visa since I'm traveling with an infant and I haven't been married for more than a year and my mum is sponsoring her self.
