The NYSC scheme was established after the Nigeria civil war, as a program intended to unite a divided nation. It was made mandatory by law for every Nigerian graduate to serve his fatherland for a period of 1 year after graduation from either the Polytechnic or the University.

However in recent time this innocent scheme introduced to benefit the nation at large as marred the political career of some few Nigerians, whom for reasons best known to them decided not to participate in the program.Today this mistake of theirs as come to hunt them and see a painful end to their promising political career.

The recent victims are ; Mrs Kemi Adeosun, (Former Minister of Finance) who was forced to resigned her appointment on the 14th of September because the NYSC certificate she has was a counterfeit and also the current Minister of communication Mr Adebayo Shittu, who was disqualified from contesting in the APC Governorship primary election in Oyo State, because he had refused to participate in the NYSC scheme after he graduated from the law School.

I hope these people would served as a scape goat for todays youth ; that nobody is above the law of the Land.
