Two European heavyweights will fight for one place in the final when FC Barcelona face Bayern Munich in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.

It will be a special tie for Barca former-coach, Pep Guardiola, who made history with the Spanish giants both as a player and a coach. But he will be facing them on the other side of the bench when Bayern travel to Camp Nou on Wednesday.

Messi and his teammates have only lost once in 32 Champions League games at the Camp Nou, their only defeat came at the hands of the German giants two years ago. But having defeated a strong side like PSG 5-1 on aggregate in the quarter-final alongside their outstanding performances in La Liga make them widely considered as the number one title-favourites.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, are fresh from winning the Bundesliga title and trashing Porto 6-1 in the quarter-final’s second leg whicj means sky is the limit for what the Bavarian can do at this stage.

However, Guardiola’s side is suffering the absence of key-players like Arjen Robben, David Alaba and probably both Franck Ribery and Robert Lewandowski due to injuries. Barca coach, on the other hand, doesn’t have any injury concerns.
