Christianity Etc › Re: Records Of Tithes, Seeds And Offerings by Zackybright: 11:55am On Oct 17, 2021 |
eventainment: Good day and happy Sunday nairalanders. I'm just curios to know if it's compulsory to have records of your offerings and tithes. On a norm I see all churches having this tithe cards and seeds envelop that requires you to input your data and the type of offering and also other information. I have always believed that God is the one that gives the blessings that comes with offerings seeds and tithes and it's not important that the church should keep tabs of my giving. Today I had an argument with a brother in church( subcell leader) when I told him I don't write my name in the envelops I give for tithes that I only state what the offering is for either tithe, seed or partnership as that it's God that will do the blessings and, I'm fulfilling my duty to God. The thing is maybe I'm not fully blended to these patterns but our church seem to celebrate public display of giving and they kinda celebrate you big. It's two Sundays now we are having RON and people who have made it obvious about their givimg have been celebrated and even given special seats depends on the amount you give. But I've given mine too but anouncing it seems like what I wouldn't do cause I believe it's a duty to God and God sees it when you give. The moment you realise that the church is just a business, that moment you begin your journey to reality. |

Zackybright: It’s pretty wacky that Christian talk about shariah law like it’s not exactly what they want just in a different color. I don’t care if you’re Christian. In fact, I will fight for you to have your religious liberty and practice your Christianity. I believe in that.
I don’t believe in Christianity, which means that you do not get to dictate the way I live my life based on your religion. I don’t care what the Bible says. You have every right in the world; all those women who identify with your religion have every right in the world to not get an abortion, to not take birth control. But they do not have the right to dictate my life and what I decide to do with my body. I don’t care about your goddamn religion.
I’m so tired of having non-stop conversations about what the Bible says. You live your life in the way that you interpret the Bible. Again, I don’t care. But you don’t get to take the Bible and tell me well the Bible says this in this chapter in this verse. I don’t care.
