PoliticsBiafrans Agitators Should Be Dealt With Like Boko Haram - Chris Ngige by Zblog(op): 7:19am On Jan 27, 2016
This was Ngige's response when asked about the Biafra struggle by a journalist:

Biafra? What Do You Mean By Biafra? Senator Chris Ngige Asks Journalist. Nigeria’s minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige has finally opened up on the protests by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) for a sovereign state.

The former governor of Anambra state, who spoke with us in Alor, venue of his late father’s funeral ceremony, insisted that there is nothing like Biafra. According to him, the protesters are only a group of discontented people, a situation which is not peculiar to the eastern part of the country where they are domiciled.

When asked what he thinks about the incessant protests by the pro-Biafrans, he noted with a lot of assurance, that the protesters are to the east, what Boko Haram is to the northern part of the country and the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) in the southwestern part of the country. He said, therefore, that there is really no need for Nigerians to panic about their presence or activities as they would be handled the same way others were dealt with by the federal government. “Biafra? What do you mean by Biafra?” he retorted rhetorically when asked about the struggle by the protesters. “There is no struggle anywhere. There is even no agitation. It is just discontent.” “In Yoruba land, they say they are OPC, Oodua Peoples Congress; in the Niger Delta, they say they are militants; in the northern part of Nigeria, especially the northwest and northeast, they say they are Boko Haram. They are against western education. They say that it is from western education that they learn how to steal money. “So, it is discontent.

Christianity EtcFLASH| Rev. Fr. Mbaka Transferred, Left Without A Parish by Zblog(op): 11:02pm On Jan 24, 2016
According to reports reaching us, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has been transferred from his Parish “Christ The King Parish GRA Enugu” and left without a Parish. The controversial Priest was reportedly given residence at Our Lady Of The Rosary Parish Emene Enugu, 2km away from his Adoration Ministry but not as a Parish Priest.

The decision to remove Mbaka is aimed at checkmating his activities which is generating unpleasant wave within the body of Christ and the nation at large.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Offor, the director of social communications of the Diocese, said that there would be general posting and re-posting of priests this year. He added that the Diocese embarks on postings of priests every six years.

“The bishop decides who should be posted where; it has nothing to do with a particular individual. It is a routine practice which is done every six years,” he said.

This development means that Fr. Mbaka has no Parish again and his weekly Wednesday program “Inodey Again” will not be conducted at Christ The King Parish but probably at Adoration Ministry, Umuchigbo Nike Enugu.

Rev. Fr. Ejike Camillus Anthony, Ebenezer Mbaka is a Catholic Priest of Enugu Dioceses. He is the Parish Priest of Christ the King Parish GRA Enugu and the founder and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (Amen).

I have never had sex with human being in my life except sheep because it’s sweet
Sheep owner wanted Miracle to buy his sheep and marry as ‘wife’

Master Miracle Oluebube Nweke is a 15- year old boy and member of Assemblies of God Church in Nnewichi-Nnewi. But he is a self-confessed deviant who enjoys having sex only with sheep.

Goat

He was recently caught in the act, last Monday, by a friend who raised the alarm leading to his arrest and confession of his past escapades. Our Correspondent, Isaac Ojo, was at the scene where Master Miracle made his confessions and why he is engaged in zoophilia and bestiality. Enjoy!

Although, chapter 18, verse 23 of the Book of Leviticus commands thus: “And you shall not lie with any beast and defile yourself with it, neither shall any woman give herself to a beast to lie with it,” Master Miracle Oluebube Nweke, a 15-year old Christian is not bothered by such ordinance. At his age, he has not only been copulating but strangely so with animals which must be sheep.

The teenage boy, a native of Eziagu in Enugu state, last Monday confessed that he had been engaging in sodomy for a while but was never caught. He said he knew that it was not normal but that he could not help himself. He said anytime he had urge, a strange voice would lead him to where he would get a tethered sheep which he would loose and drag to an uncompleted building to have sex with it.
Miracle explained that on sighting any sheep, he would engage, first, in sexual fixation otherwise called zoophilia before graduating to raping it otherwise called bestiality or sodomy.

He was in the middle of the act this week in the South East when his friend cut his fun short and raised the alarm which made the vigilante operatives to go after him and arrested him

PoliticsFayose Owns Property In Dubai APC Insist by Zblog(op): 6:00am On Jan 23, 2016
The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has insisted that Governor Ayodele Fayose is one of Nigerians who own property in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

The governor had on Thursday declared that he had no house in Dubai, challenging anyone with information of any property linked to him to publish the details.

The governor, who also said he was ready to waive his immunity to be prosecuted if any house is linked to him in Dubai, said he was not a kind of person that would deny his assets.

But the APC in a statement by the state Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said Fayose’s denial that he had no property in Dubai was an afterthought.

Olatunbosun said the party had raised the alarm many times in the last one year on the governor’s frequent trips to Dubai almost every month after receiving the state’s allocation from Abuja, noting that such trips could not be associated with any trade and investment agreement with the Middle-East country.

PoliticsArmsdeal: Arrest Jonathan Now, Waku Tells Buhari by Zblog(op): 5:43am On Jan 23, 2016
A foundation member of the Peoples Democratic Party and former member of the party’s Board of Trustees, Senator Joseph Waku has implored President Muhammadu Buhari to sustain the tempo in his ongoing war against corruption.

While describing the recent 2.1 billion US dollars arms fund scandal otherwise known as Dasukigate as a shame of a nation, Waku who is a leader of the pro-North Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF expressed disgust at the caliber of people involved in the scam.

“What does Anenih want again at his age? What does Yakassai want again at his age? It is a big shame on these two men refered to as elderstatemen, to be involved in alleged sharing and looting of funds meant to purchase arms for our troops to fight Boko Haram. These two old men should not only apologise to Nigerians, they and others that partook in the sharing should refund the money to the national treasury”, Waku who is now a top chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC also spoke on other issues in this interview with TUNDE THOMAS. Excerpts:

What is your reaction to the alleged looting and sharing of the $2.1 dollars arms fund by some top political leaders in a scandal that has come to be dubbed Dasukigate?

It is very shocking and disgraceful, most especially when you look at the caliber of people involved. Look at the names that Dasuki has been mentioning as beneficiaries of the loot. These are people that Nigerians until now look up to with respect. Tanko Yakassai, Tony Anenih, Haliru Bello, people who are supposed to be role models, now turning into looters. It is a big shame. I’m highly disappointed with these people.

What still baffles me is this, what constitutional power did Dasuki have to withdraw and disburse public money to few individuals? Dasuki is not an official or treasurer of PDP. Even in his role as the National Security Adviser, he lacked the power to share and distribute the money the way he did.

What Dasuki did was not only criminal, but it is also illegal. I’m surprised that former President Goodluck Jonathan has chosen to keep quiet. Please he should be told that in this case, silence is not golden for him at all. It is even unfair that up till now nobody has deemed it fit to ask Jonathan questions including security agencies.

Is Jonathan bigger than Nigeria?

But some are saying that being a former President, it should not be seen as if Jonathan is being humiliated by asking him questions or interrogating him?

Rubbish. That is one of the biggest problems confronting Nigeria. The big man syndrome culture of the untouchables, that is one of the things killing us. Is Jonathan bigger than Nigeria? Will Jonathan be the first former president to be investigated or quizzed over corruption? We should be able to draw a line between sentimentalism and patriotism. To me, asking Jonathan to speak out or being quizzed is an act of patriotism. Asking that he should be left alone is sentimentalism.

How can they leave Jonathan alone? He is a central and key figure in this scam. Dasuki has been mentioning his name repeatedly, and let’s look at it this way, can Dasuki do anything on his own without the consent and approval of the president and the commander-in-chief? It is very unfair to detain Dasuki, while Jonathan remains a free man.

Jonathan should be arrested now. He should be quizzed and if he is found culpable let him be put on trial. If he is eventually found guilty, he should be sent to prison. Yes, Jonathan should be sent to prison if his hands are not clean, heaven will not fall if he is jailed. He will not be the first former president to be jailed. There are several other examples and instances across the world.

PoliticsRevelations On Looting: You Can’t Take Up Sambo Dasuki And Leave Jonathan by Zblog(op): 1:04pm On Jan 22, 2016
Several high-profile Nigerians are facing charges as part of a drive against corruption but there are complaints by the opposition that the government is settling old political scores and flouting due process.

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to recoup the “mind-boggling” sums of public fund stolen under the previous administrations to fulfill his campaign pledge to Nigerians that he would end graft...

Now the government has revealed that just 55 people stole more than N1.3trillion between 2006 and 2013, thus leaving Nigeria in the lurch as the economy is struggling to survive.

But it is former national security advisor Sambo Dasuki who has become the key figure in the anti-corruption campaign. The former Army Colonel is accused of looting billions of dollars that were aimed at buying weapons and equipment for troops fighting Boko Haram Islamists.

Billions are alleged to have been diverted instead to members of Goodluck Jonathan’s PDP to fund his failed re-election campaign.

Dasuki was granted bail last month but has been kept in custody without access to his legal counsel as he awaits the start of three trials, his lawyer Joseph Daudu told a court in Abuja on Wednesday.

Dauda later claimed Buhari was reverting to his old autocratic habits from his days as military ruler.

“He (Buhari) emphasised he was a changed man, open to democratic principals. But interfering with the court system, trying to find your own rule of law, is not good,” he told AFP at his office.

“It makes the outcome suspect.”

But prosecutor Oladipo Okpeseyi denied any impropriety. “The federal government has obeyed every order made in respect of this case. We are not acting illegally in any way whatsoever.”

Buhari’s own comments about Dasuki and two other cases involving the pro-Biafra activist Nnamdi Kanu and the Shiite Muslim leader Ibrahim Zakzaky are very instructive.

He told reporters in December the men should be kept in custody because they had committed “atrocities” against the the people of Nigeria, and told the Judges to put Nigeria above individuals.

Buhari was voted into power in 2015 after vowing to stamp out corruption and usher in a new era.

And with the prosecution of Dasuki — a powerful member of Jonathan’s administration — the former head of state could yet be dragged into the case.

“The national security advisor will normally carry out the instructions of his president,” one of the lawyers representing Dasuki in court, Ahmed Raji, told AFP.

“You cannot talk about this matter without talking about President Jonathan.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to embark on a series of research that could enable it discover the real source of its misfortunes, ‘in-fighting’ ‘implosion’ and other internal problems that has been rocking it of late.

This advice was given by the APC National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni, yesterday, while reacting to a statement credited to the PDP National Secretary, Adewale Oladipo, who said that some party members were being “used by the APC to draw political capital from the present challenges facing it (PDP)”.

Christianity EtcKaduna Prophet To Fr. Mbaka: Nobody Plotting To Kill Buhar Maybe You Plan by Zblog(op): 10:15am On Jan 21, 2016
Kaduna-based Prophet and General Overseer of Christ’s Vision Ministries, Revd Samuel Taiwo Deji, has told the Enugu-based Catholic Priest, Revd Father Ejike Mbaka to withdraw his prophecy that some people are plotting to kill President Muhammadu Buhari.
Revd Father Mbaka of Adoration Ministries, Enugu, had on New Year day, January 1, 2016, predicted that some Nigerians were plotting to kill the President.
However, Speaking with Daily Sun yesterday, Prophet Deji said Father Mbaka’s prediction was more of a demonic message than a divine one from God.

Revd Deji, 63, who is a professor of theology in Christian Education, said he decided to write off Father Mbaka because God had told him ( Deji ) that there would be no bloodshed in the corridors of power in 2016.
According to the Ekiti State- born man of God: “Buhari should go and sleep, not only sleep, but snore, because Father Mbaka is passing a message that is demonic and not of God.

PoliticsBuhari Is Too Soft On Nnamdi Kanu — Bankole-hameed by Zblog(op): 8:18am On Jan 21, 2016
Mr Shehu Bankole-Hameed, author, politician is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC. Bankole-Hameed, a member of the Lagos Forum in this interview, faults the agitation for Biafra. He also bares his mind on other sundry issues. Excerpts:

By Dapo Akinrefon

50 years after the truncation of the First Republic, do you Nigeria has learned lessons?

My first reaction is that the activists who truncated the First Republic were men of questionable character in the fine profession of the military. That was when a few soldiers mostly of the then Eastern Region massacred prominent political and economic leaders of Northern Nigeria and Western Nigeria only. This singular dastardly act resulted in deep division and distrust among the three major actors in the Nigeria political space; Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo, who had the responsibility to get the project going. The death of Hausa and Yoruba leaders in the hands of the Igbo officers created big economic and political gaps in these regions. What followed was what we are still witnessing today. Another aspect of the ill conceived coup is the decimation of minorities. I don’t think we have acted out to show if we as a nation have learned anything.

There are growing concerns over the president’s continued refusal to obey court orders, what is your take on this?

I’m not going to say that I don’t think that the President is a party to the court proceedings. EFCC I believe is the institution that is on trial as regards court orders, but to be fair to them, explanation as to how a new arrest is effected has been given. It was established in the case of Dasuki for example, that he had new criminal cases for which he was re-arrested.

What is your reaction to the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu?

https://cdn1.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Bankole-Hameed.jpgBankole-Hameed

I think this is truly an interesting development. Here is someone who knows that what he did embark on was nothing short of terrorism. What does he expect of the authorities? Body massage, hotel accommodation or what? He is lucky Nigeria is not interested in capital punishment, otherwise he may be so charged. I think the government is even soft on him.

But do you think there should be a negotiation with the South East over Biafra?

This is a very good question. What is Biafra, who are the agitators and how is the cry for it being funded? I will attempt to define Biafra as best as I can and from the perspective of average Nigerian.

There was an attempt by Ojukwu now late, to steal away and enslave non Igbo of the then Eastern Region, while taking over the oil in the region.

He got his own people to buy into the act, there was no justification for the declaration then, which made the concept of Biafra ineligible for negotiations.

What needs to be done is to amend the Constitution to allow for legal agitation, where structured steps are laid out for such discourse.

Many countries have such provision. There should be no force or coercion in Union . Right now, activities related to agitation for Biafra is tantamount to terrorism.

Do you think each region should agitate for autonomy?

The question of regional autonomy may be discussed at state levels, where various local communities agree that what is needed is the granting of legal, financial and economic autonomy. Then the next step is to convince the federal assembly on the need to amend the Constitution to that effect. How many of the existing states can survive being autonomous?

PoliticsLondon Court Registers N99bn Judgment Against Nigeria Military by Zblog(op): 8:05am On Jan 21, 2016
Victory came the way of the people of Gbaramatu communities of Delta State from the United Kingdom where a London Court on Monday, January 18, entered judgment in their favour to register‎ the judgment of a Federal High Court, Asaba which ordered the Federal Government to pay them N99.9 billion damages for gross violation of their rights by the Joint Task Force in the state.

In the judgment, Mr Justice of Holroyde of the Queen’s Bench Division of the Royal High Court of Justice England and Wales ordered that the judgment of Justice Ibrahim Buba in December 2013 be registered in England against Major General Sarkin Yarkin Bello (now retired), who was the commander of the Delta Joint Task Force.
The task force, on May 5, 2009 descended on the community killing, maiming innocent residents while property worth billions of naira were equally destroyed.
In response, the communities filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Asaba on June 22, 2009.

Their lawyer, Mr Selekeowei Larry (SAN) filed the suit against the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Attorney General of the Federation and Major General Sarkin Yarkin Bello (for himself and on behalf of the Joint Task Force in Delta State) as first, second and third defendants respectively.
The people, among other reliefs, asked the court to declare the bombardment unconstitutional and a gross violation of their rights.
After hearing the plaintiffs and the defendants, Justice Ibrahim Buba held as follows: “That the bombardment of the plaintiffs’ communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom of Warri South West Local Government Area‎ of Delta by the defendants resulting in the demolition/destruction of houses, household furniture/wares, boats, canoes, domestic animals and displacement of members of the communities is in violation of section 217 (2)(c) of the 1999 Constitution and is, therefore, unconstitutional.

“That the sum of N49 billion is awarded in favour of the plaintiffs as special damages against the defendants jointly severally.
“That the sum of N50 billion is also awarded as aggravated and punitive damages against the defendants jointly and severally for the unlawful bombardment and sacking of the plaintiffs’ communities which resulted in wanton destruction of their houses, household furniture and other wares, their domestic animals, canoes, boats, sacred places, artifacts etc and which resulted in total displacement of members of the communities for minimum of three months from May 15, 2009, the effect of which was that members of the communities were living in the swampy mangrove forests in subhuman conditions while others were in a concentration camp and suffered loss of income, disease, and mental torture and the education of their children of school age was disrupted.”
