ezenwaez:Hello. Please is there any registration ongoing for NPOWER ? |
walkbrazil4k:I also love how Jehovah’s Witnesses apply the Bible in their personal lives. For me, they are the only true Christians. You can imagine that instead of taking up weapons of war against themselves, they are even ready to die for one another if need be. That’s how deep the love is. Read 1John 3:16 |
MaxInDHouse:Adding to this, the events in the book of Revelation from chapter 5 onward begin to take place during the Lord’s day (Revelation 1:10, 4:1) which the Bible also refers to as the last days or when Christ’s presence would begin (Matthew 24:3). And after considering Bible chronology, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that this began to take place in 1914. So yes, all the six scrolls, which refers to events, are already opened. Interestingly, the events in the book of Revelation chapter 6:2-17 mirrors the events that Jesus said would occur during the last days. Matthew 24:3-9, 29; Luke 21:9-16, 25-26. That’s why we come to that conclusion. The scrolls being opened means that they have began to take place, but it doesn’t mean that those events have ended yet. Let me stop here. Like MaxInDHouse said, anyone who is interested for a Bible study with the Witnesses can approach them in their neighborhood and humbly ask for one. The reason is because this topic constitutes the “deep things of God” (1Corinthians 2:10) Jehovah’s Witnesses are always ready to answer any questions you have but to get those answers, you need to go through the appropriate channels. |
As a Christian, I always base my answers on God’s Word. At John 6:40, Jesus said, “For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day.” Recognizing God’s Son i.e. Jesus, goes beyond being acquainted with his name and believing that he exists. John 3:36 and John 15:10 links exercising faith (believing) in Jesus to obedience to his commandments. So there we have it. Doing God’s will simply means exercising faith in his Son, Jesus, which is done by obeying his commandments. And like John 6:40 says, we will be rewarded with everlasting life. There are many commandments of Jesus Christ found in the Greek Scriptures (or what is commonly referred to as the New Testament) but the one of such that Christians obey is the command to preach and teach the good news of God’s Kingdom (Matthew 24:14; 28:19-20) And this work is currently being accomplished in over 239 lands across the globe with the aid of God’s holy spirit. Acts 1:8 And I agree, it is very important to know what this will is because otherwise one cannot act on what he doesn’t know. Invariably, Romans 10:14 says that how will people know what God’s will is if someone doesn’t preach to them ? Moreso, knowing and doing God’s will is vital for salvation. In fact, 1John 2:17 says that only the ones who do God’s will are going to survive the end of the world and enter into God’s Kingdom. |
MaxInDHouse:You’d be glad to know that Jesus never spent his time and energy defending himself before opposers. He simply said wisdom is justified by its works and went on his way. Matthew 11:16-19 Unfortunately, we cannot do much about the propaganda spread about us now. Even the Jews spread propaganda about Jesus and Paul. Acts chapters 21-24 is filled with such accounts and surely, some were led astray. Jesus also acknowledged that even though the seed of truth might be planted in one’s heart, the wicked one i.e. Satan can steal it away from that person. Matthew 13:19 So let our aim be to focus on the ones the Bible describes as being “rightly disposed for everlasting life”, that is, our present Bible studies. Acts 13:48 |
Hello MaxInDHouse and Janosky, I couldn’t get past the first page because the air of toxicity is too much. I’d suggest that you two stop engaging in online debates with opposers because it’s counterproductive and I’m sure it doesn’t leave you spiritually edified. Moreso, it brings reproach upon Jehovah and his beautiful organization. 1Corinthians 4:9 says that we are a theatrical spectacle and as such, cannot be found slinging mud at people who want to play dirty. We’re too clean and elevated for that. Titus 1:15 says, “All things are clean to clean people, but to those who are defiled and faithless, NOTHING is clean, for both their minds and their consciences are defiled..” So why should we be bothered about how the truth is perceived by some ? |
