An officer of the Nigerian High Commission/Consulate in Indonesia, South East Asia has been tortured, suffocated, dehumanised, beaten and humiliated by the Indonesian police.

9News Nigeria Asian correspondent learnt that the diplomat was arrested by the Indonesian police while he went out to shop in a super market. He was accosted by the policemen who demanded for his ID and passport.

The man who was known as Ibrahim declared that he was an officer of the Nigerian High Commission/ Consulate in Indonesia and did not have his passport on his body at the moment, but the Indonesian police rejected his explanation and forced him down in a vehicle and tortured him.

In a video seen by 9News Nigeria correspondent, the diplomat was held on his through in a way to suffocate him and he was screaming that he can't breathe.

Social media has presented an enormous medium that allows business leaders, politicians and those at the helm of authorities and public services around the world to effectively interface with those they lead through updates on their day to day activities.

This creates an avenue for the public to know what the leaders have been up to and what they have been able to achieve in terms of projects, official and social activities and sometimes highlights on future plans.

Going by the activities shown on the Enugu State Governor’s official social media timeline, it is either the governor has been inactive, has rarely engaged himself in official activities or it is still January in Enugu state.

While 9News Nigeria social media expert has monitored the official verified Facebook page of the Enugu state governor, Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi @IfeanyiLawrenceUgwuanyi, the last time the social media account was updated with the governor’s activities was on January 1st 2021, that is about 7 months ago. The governor only managed to send out an image of himself with a “Happy Newyear Ndi Enugu, Welcome to 2021” inscription on it.

Imo House of Assembly was turned into a war zone on Thursday 8th July 2021 after some house members pulled short guns and started shooting sporadically in the house.

Restructuring Nigeria means putting the country’s polity and governance in their proper perspectives.

Restructuring if allowed to fly will also mean re-configurating the country’s economy and political scheme in an autopilot system that will be driven regionally or on State by State respective framework as the bargain and negotiations will determine if finally allowed.

Indeed if Restructuring is allowed on State by State framework, as it’s the quest of all the 17 Southern Nigeria States, it would obviously UnCloth the Northern States and keep them standing naked in revenue and resources and they might find it almost impossible to get dressed again due to the latter’s totally dependent on the South oil and gas feeders.

Restructuring if allowed, will expressly authorized States that bring more goodies on the country’s dining table to get more for themselves and States with little or no contribution to the country economy to feed themselves according to their input capacities.

And Northern Nigeria is basically agrarian and the Nation’s agricultural farmland. The region produces tomatoes, onions, yam, oranges, sugarcane, groundnut, maize, beans, rice, pepper, millet, potatoes, garbage, cotton, livestock, pockets of solid minerals etc.

The above produce, if properly harnessed and given value that is beyond their present local considerations, and put in an industrial value chain, Northern Nigeria will be nothing less than a food basket for all Sub-Sahara countries and the Western world.

Would the North accept this?

The National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC), the apex youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka has described the new appointment of the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba by President Muhammadu Buhari as an entrance route to cause the disintegration of Nigeria.

Comrade Igboayaka speaking to 9News Nigeria correspondent in Owerri on Friday 9th April noted that by his action, Buhari has divided Nigeria, saying that “what’s remaining soonest is a full-blown revolution triggered by marginalization, injustice and hatred Buhari has shown against the people of the old Eastern region.”

“The new appointment of Ag. IGP by Buhari and the Aso Rock cabals is the height of administrative impunity, mediocrity and insensitivity on federal character,” Igboayaka stated.

“It is on record and also a fact that DIG Moses Jitoboh from Bayelsa state has nine years left in his career, and with the recent amendment of the Police Act 2020 which stipulates that for an officer to be qualified for the appointment as the IGP, he or she must have at least 4yrs left before retirement.


“In a bid to deny an Eastern person the opportunity of becoming the next IGP, the cabals in Aso Rock hurriedly promoted Moses Jitoboh from AIG to DIG just to disqualify him and make way for a mediocre like AIG Usman Baba that will retire in two years time to be the Inspector General of Police.

“I, therefore, use this opportunity to call on well-meaning individuals close to those on the corridors of power to advise Mr President who has stretched the elastic limit of Nigeria’s unity much to its end where it will cut.

“Unfortunately, today the most senior and most qualified and experienced DIG Moses Jitoboh has been retired just to pave the way to qualify an unqualified person.

” It’s a pity that new IGP has boasted that he will stop secession agitation in Nigeria, but he knows that his appointment as new IGP against Mr Moses Jitoboh who is qualified than him is part of the reasons agitation for Nigeria disintegration has increased to large proportion. He said that from the look of the political turgidity in the country orchestrated by the president @realDonaldTrump‘s insistence that the just concluded U.S presidential election was rigged against him, the country is at the verge of civil war.

Mr. Vause cited that in spite of president Trump’s in-denial of the election’s result that made Joe Biden the winner, major Republican senators and house members have bought the story and thrown weighty support behind Donald Trump. Also, millions of die hard Trumplicans have vowed to stay on the side of the president come rain or shine.

Anambra state known as the “light of the nation” has always produced one of the best performing governors in Nigeria, but over the years, the people of Anambra or prestigiously called “NDI-ANAMBRA” have become weary and discontented of the usual pace of development; NDI-ANAMBRA are now conspicuously thirsty, hungry and eager for an imminent change for better.

In that vein, the people are looking for the best out of the bests, and that has made the race for the state’s first political position to be very hot, hence exclusively for candidates of excellent track record to start with.

Meanwhile, the field is already saturated, as serious contenders are already taking positions in their quest to occupy Agu Awka in 2021. It is very true of the saying that “When one door closes, another opens,” and that has conspicuously been the fate of Governor Godwin Obaseki, the executive governor of Edo state.

The incumbent governor of Edo state for reasons that were obviously unsound, was at variance with his so called ‘godfather,’ Adams Oshiomhole to the deteriorative point that parting ways with each other became inevitably imminent. But the parting foisted a grievous impending consequence on Obaseki which ultimately would lead to his disgraceful denial of retaining his position as the executive governor of his state. A price he wittingly did not want to pay, at least not in the manner it was demanded of him.


Obaseki was faced with a moment of decision to either damn the consequence and do away with his godfather and his political camp or remain with him in shame and denial. With the feeling of being pushed to the wall, Obaseki took a drastic decision and dumped the political party through which he clinched the governorship seat, and accepted the beckon of the opposition party in hope of a greener pasture.

His fate was not well defined, but he knew that it’s better to take a step than to stand still and be starved to death.

He left his godfather, but a ‘god-brother’ in the name of Nyesom Wike showed up, and the rest became a success story.

The just concluded Edo Guber election was a positive litmus test that ushered in a new normal of doing away with political “godfatherism” in this new democratic dispensation in Nigeria.

But this new normal has also ushered in another new era of “godbrotherism” in Nigeria’s political arena, taking into cognisance the role that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state played in assisting Obaseki to retain his nearly lost governorship seat in Edo state.

Wike’s role was that of a good brother who out of sheer true love and selflessness looks out to see that his brother is kept out of trouble, in good condition, peaceful and happy.

This relationship is seen as a better one than that of the political ‘godfatherism’ where the godchild will always in fear and trembling adhere and heed to the desire and demand of his self-seeking godfather.

Governor Nyesom Wike is indeed a political god-brother to Governor Godwin Obaseki, and it is a commendable political relationship that should be embraced and emulated in this new political dispensation in Nigeria, if we really want our political leaders to be more responsible, perform well in their offices and serve the public wholeheartedly without dictates from godfathers.

Popular Nigerian music diva, Tiwa Savage, who has filed for a divorce from her husband, Teeblizz, was recently seen partying lavishly at a club with her Igbo millionaire lover.

From a video exclusive to 9News Nigeria and reports from our credible source, the mother of one was obviously having a swell time dancing with her new lover, in company of Wizkid, who also appeared in the video, and a few other friends.

According to our source, the extravagant Igbo millionaire had reportedly spent over N25million on Tiwa Savage and is planning to buy her a 2019 Mercedes Benz AMG S63 car for her birthday.

This is coming just a few weeks after rumours spread through that the former Marvin crew queen was having sex with Wizkid.

In light of the sexual rumours, Teeblizz had come out to admit that even though he suspects infidelity from his estranged wife, Tiwa Savage, he was sure she wouldn’t stoop so low to sleep with ‘Starboy’ Wizkid, whom he consistently referred to as his “little nigga”.

If the proposed divorce between Tiwa and Teeblizz is anything to go by, it would seem that the singing goddess has apparently moved on with her life and perhaps, found love again in the arms of a flourishing Igbo millionaire.

King ocoro has set Australia and some other European countries ablaze with his latest hit song ”IWOTAGO?” which recently hit the airwaves like thunderstorm. “The beat is irresistible”, said a fan who posted on King Ocoro’s Instagram fan page.

Born and raised in Nigeria and now living in Australia, Onwa Matthew Okoro is a music composer, performer, producer, and creative artiste. An indigene of Isi-ugwu village, in Ezike Igbo Eze North LGA, Enugu Ezike town in Enugu state, Nigeria, Mathew Okoro has blossomed through the years as a contemporary African artiste with a unique message for everyone.

Having moved to Australia since 2007, the talented Afro-Pop musician has always stayed in touch with his homeland using his well-blended African voice tinged with a sea of real life experiences in classical indigenous tune.

Popularly called King Ocoro, the Enugu-born artiste released his first single titled, ‘Mugu maga’ meaning Imperfection of humanity in 2016, which shot him into musical limelight amidst strings of commendations from fans in Nigeria and abroad.
