mayorall:I'm a Power systems researcher and graduate engineer currently serving (Nysc) in a power plant in Niger state. I run simulations (for research and publication) on the stability of utility scale renewable energy systems and converters because I hope to develop myself to a level where I can meaningfully contribute to global energy security in the near future (starting from Nigeria). Getting your laptop will help me continue my work, as my old laptop got spoilt while I was working on a project last week Attached picture is from the project I was working before it got spoilt, which I would want to continue. Thanks.

What kind of maintenance was being carried out without the pump being locked in isolated position? This is gross negligence by the operators, and it's so sad that it became fatal |

Kudos to them. I'm happy this visit was well documented. Eagerly waiting for the flat earthers and other conspiracy theory dimw1ts to attempt to explain it away again |

Now we've gone full circle around. First you promise the people security and prosperity. Then you fail at your promises, fail to protect them, and ensure that currency devaluation brings hardships to them. Then you indirectly enable bandits to kill and kidnap them... And now finally you go out to directly kill them A unique kind of government indeed. Posterity will remember |
One thing I always tell myself: Never associate with the unfortunate or the unlucky. I believe you've already made your decision. |
I hope they are expelled from the school. Academic integrity must be maintained at all times. Let's keep the standards of our academic institutions high. |
So what exactly did he say? Mumu post. Explain wetin dem no ask you, still miss the point |
It's really sad that the student died, and I must say that this statement by the school was very necessary, especially given the many reports circulating on the internet. I pray God grants the family comfort and the fortitude to bear the loss. This may be the end of Chancellor's cup in CU If you know you know. |
Very nonsensical talk. Wetin they want make the man do? As if the former ministers of power were doing anything special when there was relatively stable supply. The system itself is bad and it was just a matter of time before things got out of hand.. Make una free the man |
Good riddance Btw Niger State is so large that different lgas can be individual states |

Reminds me of the days when past leaders like Yaradua or Jonathan used to visit communities of insecurity or flood victims. These current leaders don't even as much as release statements or send representatives... They couldn't care less.. It's sad how far down life has gone |
I totally concur with the writer. Myself I've written some posts about this subject. The root of the problem is the mindset we have as people pursuing master's degrees or PhDs. Most MSc/ PhD students not studying it for addition to knowledge or research interest—they just want it for the prestige and possibly workplace promotions. Since there's no interest, it's just more convenient for them to pawn it off to someone else who gets paid to do the hard work. |

What kind of nonsense is this? Only in a country where human lives has practically no value.. Why was she lying on the road in the first place? Was the driver blind? Kai ![]() |
We as a people are not ready to hold our leaders accountable due to tribal politics, and these are the results. My heart only goes out to the innocent people who are caught up in the middle of the wickedness. @op include link |

Omo going through these comments dey make me weep for this country (if this is the thinking of a random sample of the population). Vini scored a goal, celebrated (which is absolutely normal procedure), got a yellow card for celebrating, had fans boo him and all that (which he ignored), then had an opponent player call him a m0nkey. And empty brained agbayas with zero exposure here are saying he is at fault. So he shouldn't score a goal because he is black, or he shouldn't celebrate his classic goal, or because he is black playing in a white country he should not voice out when racially abused? Little wonder why even Indians who own companies here treat us like sh1t, not to talk of our leaders, zero development and the joke of a democracy we're putting up with. We will reduce our self-worth to the barest minimum for literally nothing. It's sad that many people on this comment page actually believe that they are inferior to the whites. Well, enough said. Kudos to Vini for speaking up, and I hope the white p1g gets punished proportionately; because why did he close his mouth if he wasn't saying something wrong...and even the guilt on his face. It's really a shame to see many these Nigerians publicly encouraging racism on the internet in 2026. One fool even said Vini should be grateful... Kai... With this kind of backward thinking, We deserve all the suffering our leaders are putting us through |
