TravelRe: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Zeefaa:
As mentioned earlier, I said I would share an update on the process once I received mine. This is just to provide an update as of September 2025, since I didn’t really find much recent information here.

I applied for a tourist visa from Lagos. All the required documents are listed on the Voya Visa Nigeria website, and I submitted only those. I also noticed that the staff at the Lagos office were quite helpful. E.g, if you submit a document that could negatively affect your application, they will let you know it isn’t acceptable (e.g., your bank statement must be dated exactly the day before your appointment).

The process took 5 weeks in total for me. Be aware that there is no communication after submission, so don’t get frustrated expecting updates. I recommend applying at least 2 months before your travel date. The only communication you’ll receive after submission is a message from DHL once they collect your passport, after which you can track it. Delivery took 2 days after DHL confirmed pickup.

Lastly, yes, I got the visa. ( I have travel history and a valid UK visa), and it was two days after the initial travel date I had indicated on my application form.

Zeefaa:
It’s been a while since anyone shared an update on Turkish visas, so I thought to drop mine here as it might help others.

I applied for a tourist visa through Voya Visa in Lagos exactly 3 weeks and 2 days ago, and I’m yet to receive my passport. Since the day I submitted my application, I haven’t received any email, text, or call..... which I find quite surprising.

From what I’ve read in past updates, it seems the only communication to expect is usually a call from the courier when the passport is ready for delivery. My travel date is next week, so I’m hoping it comes through in time.

I’ll share another update once I receive my passport and can give a full rundown of the process

I will check and drop it, but as soon I will delete it because I don't know if it align with nairaland rules and regulations

Ok this is the number +234 803 648 8981 call them exactly as from 9:00 am in the morning they normally pick. Listen to the options and press the right one, they normally pick before two minutes or most times one minute... When they pick just go straight to the point that you want to know your visa status and also tell them the date you applied and also tell them the date you also intend to travel

And lastly did you apply yourself or you applied through a travel agent ??
Thank you a lot. This was also the number I found online and I tried calling yesterday and today. Each time I was able to reach someone, once I asked about my visa status, the call got cut off and went back to the automated menu, and I couldn’t reconnect. This happened twice, yesterday and today. Although I called around 11 a.m., not 9 a.m. as suggested.

It’s frustrating because my travel date is already next week and no update. I wish I had recent information on how the process now works before applying. Also, I applied on my own not through travel agent
TravelRe: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Zeefaa: 12:34pm On Sep 17, 2025
Oh wow, thank you this.

I also tried reaching the Abuja embassy, but unfortunately the line doesn’t connect to anyone directly. It only gives automated options to visit their website or call the Turkish consular number in Turkey. If you know of any way I can actually speak to someone, that would be really helpful.

It’s quite stressful, especially since my travel date is next week.

fohiss:
My candid advise is for you to call Turkish embassy Abuja and ask them about your visa status that since you applied, no notification or mail have been sent to you through email or phone calls so you're calling to know the status of your visa status..

Because most times those voga agent always do alot of mistakes when filling in your emails, they will write different thing entirely

It's better to start calling Abuja embassy now to know the next move or else you won't hear anything about your visa

You have to wait because the PRIORITY SERVICE you added to the cart is not available now.
Wait until Priority service is available and make payment once it is available.
Okay thank you! Confusing because I cannot even remove it from my cart & it seems like PRIORITY service only comes out on Monday for now though I am not sure.

I finally got an appointment with priority service for Nov. 1st; assisted service at Prime time appointment. I have searched again and saw a nearer date under self service, Prime time appointment. I want to amend it, it seems I have to pay again. And if yes, do I have to pay for courier again?
Hello, please I have been trying to book an appointment under same priority service since but I keep receiving “Quote has error” and I can’t seem to book or proceed to checkout. Did you experience this at all? Or is there a glitch on their site?

I think there is an option for you to reschedule your appointment.
