Pls can u help me with Godson's number. Thanks Dynssy: Well.... just in case you ported your sim like most of us did because of the craziness associated with re-registration at mtn centres, then you may want to call Gideon and be sure about things.
I ported my mtn sim to glo and considering that bulk SMSes don't deliver to ported sims, I made that call and found that I'm actually on the list.
This is not in anyway intended to raise false hopes; I'm sharing because I genuinely believe some one might benefit.
Congratulations to those who were successful. To those who weren't, I feel your pain. I know the exact feeling I had when I opened this thread and found that people had received SMSes but I had not. In those times, I consoled myself that other opportunities would always come.
Moving on can be tough, but having something to look forward to makes it easier. I know that PTDF which has an even better package is out, common wealth and also chevening. A guy posted a link here for scholarships in Australia. Focus on these along with some self-development schemes and you just might find that not having your name on that list was in some weird way, a blessing in disguise.
Stay blessed!! |

Snazzygirl: You need to chill sir! It took me a while to believe my eyes; I had to read your replies a couple of times. It's his/her story, let him/her tell it with gratitude. Not everybody in Zenithforce's shoe got US visa, so back off. I'm sure you know you can do better.
@Zenithforce, I'm appalled! Being a fellow human being, I apologize on his behalf. God bless you jare. Some folks are just funny. |

vibrant99: It simply meant that you got what you deserve, you have done ur bits and it has rubbed off well, so i don't see it making headlines! Oh I see. So in ur opinion there's nothing special abt me getting a visa? Interesting..!! I tot there was. I felt we sharing our experiences here is a way we can learn from one another and the various situations that can be met at the office. But it seems to you a headline worthy transcript has to be complicated or something. My opinion of your comment is someone who's arrogant. That's my opinion of you. I may be wrong. Because you don't knw what my concerns were before the interview or the sacrifices I had to make. |

vibrant99: On a Scale of applying for a Visa 10 times, You will get the visa 9 times, This shouldnt be a testimony, we need men and women who used nothing to get something, Thats motivation, it is mediocre to say "a bird can fly" a bird should fly, Christ!!! Pardon me, I don't understand what you said in relation to the transcript of my visa interview. Pls kindly explain |

Good morning folks, my transcript as promised VO: Good morning Me: Good morning VO: Pls pass your documents and passport, (the guy is full bearded with an Indian accent, good looking too but hin don marry sha ) Me: I passed the docs VO: Yes... So tell me why you chose the university of Texas for your public health degree Me: It's one of the cheapest among other schools bla bla ...., and being located in the Texas medical center which is the largest medical complex in the world I'll have various opportunities for research.... VO: So what prior experience (or I think he said knowledge) do you have in public health Me: My first degree was medicine and surgery, so I did some basic courses in public health in my final year (the guy they knod..) and I conducted a research during my final year about the knowledge of the bla bla bla... where I saw that their knowledge about the disease was very low and I gave recommendations to the dept. (While I was waiting on the queue for my interview I suddenly had an impression to remind myself of my final year project topic, which I did) VO: I heard u say Surgery Me: Yes I read medicine and surgery VO: Tell me more abt it Me: I'm a medical doctor, so I treat patients...bla bla bla(I sha tell am wetin medical doctor dey do) VO: Ok your visa have been approved, ...( didn't hear the rest of what he said) Me: wow....thank you No other documents asked, no SOA, no question abt my sponsor etc. (While I was answering his first question, unconsciously I wasn't looking at him. but I quickly rem what people said on this thread abt being confident and looking at the VO's face while talking. I turned to him sharp sharp, eyeball to eyeball . I think doing so helps your confidence level well.) I give glory to God for favour and His faithfulness... He is awesome. Thanks to everyone that has responded to questions and given quality info on this thread. God bless you all. And pls.... avoid those touts at the consular car park trying to get you to staple your passport photograph on your ds-160. You don't need to staple anything not even the docs together..!! |

I also will be in a similar situation wen going for my visa interview as per using an Uncle's SOA. Ur testimony has put my concerns to rest. But in addition to getting his SOA, did u take other documents to show a proof of your relationship with him (I asked this cos I saw on a website that one has to take a proof of relationship for a family sponsor, for example if one's parents are sponsoring then ur birthday certificate will cover). Congrats once again |
