..... Understanding a culture and a dogma in the traditions and life of a people is a very critical step in understanding the nature of such a people. Arabs and fulanis are basically guided by the same principles of existence. Both of them are ruthless and have an innate willingness to do harm in pursuit of their interest that is only limited to their capacity to do so. Let me tell you this it is on irrefutable record that King David lording over the Israelites over 3000 years ago built/started the first Jewish temple which still has some of its walls standing up till today, it is also on record that the Romans who conquered most of the world 2000 years ago recognized that region as Israel and Jewish territory all this facts are on record. Then at 1500 year ago the Arabs invaded and the Israeli unwilling to convert to Islam abandoned their home country to relocate where they could live freely and practice Judaism. A major requirement of the Islamic conquest any where is that to live and thrive in that territory ever human being MUST be Muslim.
It goes without saying that Egypt was a Nubian country but the Arabs have chased away and eliminated any human being that is not Arab the entire north Africa comprising of Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Libya were all nubian and Berber indigenous territories.
Even Turkey in Europe Arabs ruthlessly displaced and killed albanians and Romans.

Locally we see in Jos and kaduna, Adamawa, taraba and Gombe a lot of places have been taken over by the fulani forcefully and with a lot of bloodshed when generation pass and the real owners come to fight for what is their a situation akin to what is going on in the Middle East will play even in our own Nigeria here.
What you need to do is condemn evil wholy and squarely and not paint the innocent and the wicked with the same brush or shroud a glaring evil with obscure confusion.
If you are attacked you have a right to defend yourself it is your attacker who must relent in his evil aggression.

I'm also in support of the right of the Isrealis to live in their homeland and have a country of their own. And i am against the Arabs insistence that the Isrealis must leave. But lets be frank to ourselves;there is nothing really "satanic" about how these Lebanese defend themselves. That is if you juxtapose their actions with the Isreali approach. Isreal has never respected any of their boundaries since the wars of the 60s,the 70s and the 80s.

The Beirut invasion of the 80s was actually led by a Commando attack commanded by one Benjamin Netanyahu! Does that name ring a bell? It is the same Bibi, who is now the Prime Minister of Isreal.

No one is really innocent here. That's if we look at it objectively. The more reason for a comprehensive peace treaty.

If I was an Israeli who had lost a loved on in last October's mayhem, no amount of slaughter of Gazan's and Hezbollah’s hierarchy will assuage the pain being felt and for Israel, no amount of retribution is adequate but in reality, the innocent people who die everyday have a right to life just as the slain Israelis did.

Why did the innocent citizens of Gaza rejoice when innocent Israeli citizens were killed and their mutilated bodies were paraded inbroad day light. There' are few reasons why the Igbo were able to rebuild after the civil war.
It has only a little bit to do with the Igbo race themselves actually.

The reasons are,
1. The war was prosecuted by a minority ruler ( Gowon). Who strategically prosecuted the war to cause minimal damage to the igbos. More people were lost due to starvation than the actual fighting( it was mostly children that suffered from the war and died). There was minimal damage to Igbo cities and wealth.The 20£ story is over exaggerated.The igbos did not start from scratch.Gowon ,a minority man was able to apply strategic tactics to prevent serious damage to the Igbo.Infact Nigeria suffered too much losses from his methods of gentle ,careful prosecution of the war.

2.Shagari emergence in 1979 with Alex ekuweme as VP.Alex ekuweme was in charge of economy. He made policies that favoured the igbos by encouraging importation over domestic production. He knew that the Igbo domestic capacity had dwindled after the war,so the best option for the re-emergence of the Igbo was for them to be big players in the importation business. Igbos well received this economic model and took to importation. Alex ekuweme simultaneously gradually killed the domestic capacity of production in other regions completely ruining their economy by this the Igbo were well positioned to catch up with other regions despite being victims of the war.

Here's the catch.
The fact that the igbos were pragmatic enough to take advantage of the Alex ekuweme ECONOMIC model was to their credit and they deserve praise for that.

The fact that other regions didn't recognise this ECONOMIC hitjob and subsequent rulers couldnt change this model was to their loss.


In summary, despite the arrogance of the igbos it is pertinent to note that their positive re-emergence out of the civil war were more because of external factors than their quality as a people.
