princepeter566:What's the correlation of your post to the issue at hand? Give me a valid point and win 5k. |
Na only Africa una dey beam una searchlight! Rubbish! A presidential candidate and former president was almost whacked on stage during his campaign tour right there in America but it is not a big deal because it's the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Pathetic CNN! |
EmeeNaka:Well, it doesn't seem so. Are you following the issues on ground? Wike is winning by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar! |
‘Rivers PDP Can Appoint Lawyer Without Legal Adviser’, Court Rules This followed a suit brought before the presiding judge, Mohammed Obile by the National legal adviser of the PDP. The Port Harcourt division of the Federal High Court has ruled that the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has the right to appoint legal counsel for themselves without interference from the National Legal Adviser of the party. This followed a suit brought before the presiding judge, Mohammed Obile by the National legal adviser of the PDP, challenging the authority of the state legal adviser of the PDP in Rivers state, to appoint legal representation in a case filed by the Boot party seeking to declare the seats of Martin Amaewhule and 27 others vacant, following their defection to the APC which the PDP had applied to be joined. The Rivers state chapter of the PDP had appointed a lawyer, Joshua Musa SAN to represent them, but the national legal adviser of the party, Kamaldeen Ajibade SAN also appeared in court to represent the party as well, and argued that as a national legal adviser, he is saddled with the responsibility of defending the party and its candidates in court. He further objected to the appearance of Musa in court, saying the state has no authority to appoint legal representation without the permission of the national body. In his ruling however, Justice Obile held that Ajibade SAN has no authority to challenge the appointment of Joshua Musa, and that the national legal adviser is hereby restrained from denying the state legal adviser the right to appoint legal representation. All objections filed by Ajibade were struck out and 100,000 cost was awarded against him. https://www.channelstv.com/2024/07/31/rivers-pdp-can-appoint-lawyer-without-legal-adviser-court-rules/

Danisaint112:1. How many times did you criticize Mazi Kanu for his constant call for anarchy? 2. When the UGM brouhaha started, Igbis were singing their praises. Did you call them out then? 3. Have you called out Simon Ekpa for his reckless utterances that have debased ala igbo? Instead of dealing with the issue, your people say he is working for APC. Na talk be that? 4. Your last paragraph is not true. We know where the Obi-presidency energy came from. It was simply because people felt it was time for Igbos to be president. And because Okorocha, Umahi, and Kalu we're seen as betrayers by most Igbos because of their political affiliation (APC). |
Okechinwadike:Who hate Igbo people? If this isn't inferiority complex, them I don't know what it is. Talking about Biafra, who is stopping you from taking your 5 Igbo states to create Biafra? Una too dey make noise. |
Danisaint112:It will not be well for APC supporters because they exercised their franchise just the way you did? You guys make it seem like Peter Obi transformed Anambra State, and made it an El Dorado. Most of you criticized Obi when he held sway as governor. Go and see the old tweets of popular Obidients on Twitter. They ALL criticized Obi's performance as being below par during his reign as governor. Nnamdi Kanu criticized Obi and called him a criminal among other things. STOP DRAGGING PEOPLE BASED ON THE CHOICES THEY MAKE. YOU HAD THE RIGHT TO VOTE YOUR CANDIDTATE THE SAME WAY THEY DID! |
Okechinwadike:Where in his statement did he refer to Peter Obi? 17 candidates lost to Asiwaju, so what makes you think it is Peter Obi? |
tiger28:I thought it was photoshopped at first when Reno posted it. Like kini? How does the hunger protest relate to Nnamdi Kanu? I was advocating for the man's release because of his wife and child sha, but after revisiting his broadcasts... naaaaaaah the guy should go through the process. Besides, the facts are there that he committed series of actions opposed to our extant laws. The give on the other hand should try not to stifle the whole process. They should give him a fair trial. |
Alexis11:Exactly my thought!😂 The man na werey. |
obinnajohnson:But on a more serious note, why does Ex. Gov. Peter Obi keep mute when atrocities take place in Igbo land? If it isn't politics, then I don't know what it is. He is a leader in Igbo land, and many look up to him. He should condemn this rubbish once and for all! |
frazee:I guess he is the one bankrolling Fubara's CTC Chairmen who said there would be no protect in Rivers State. |
phantom:A tout that is bigger than you with whatever yardstick you may decide to measure with. Besides, what has she done as FCT Senator? The sole issue for your information is that Wike has placed Sen. Aduda in the spotlight once again, and it's bad for business. May your hatred for Wike not consume you before your time. |
Nairaland is so backward nah! Building wey police don go open. |
dabiko:Did Wike say anything differently? |
I am yet to see the same energy that was meted on Wike when he said the same thing. They don swear for Wike tire. Oya deal with Alex Otti the same way abi hypocrisy dey worry yba? By the way, the CTC Chairmen in Rivers State said there'd be no protest. Fubara is scared of losing his inorganic fanbase, so he chose to go through his boys. 😂 |
Wawelexy:When the person above said "Why do Nigerians like making stupid people famous?" I had DJ Chicken in mind. I am not a social media person so I do not know what these guys do. But when I saw the said DJ Chicken that I have never seen his mix or something on ISBAE U's "Curiousity Made Me Ask" show on YouTube, I immediately became infuriated. The guy is a loud, ignorant, and uncoordinated lout! Jesus! Portable is well-behaved compared to that guy. His manager should help him by taking him to rehab. |
Kingsmeal:Nothing go happen for 2027. I will never be a fan of Tinubu, but I am so glad that he is not Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. He will be there till 2031! I repeat, NOTHING Northerners go do! Una don dey hype una selves too much. The underrated South go teach una politics this time around. Dey play! |
OPICANTO2223:You forgot to add that the above is your opinion. Wike remains one of the biggest politicians in South. |
Things no come dey make sense to me. The government no want the protest to hold. What is - 1. NNPC Recruitment?? When last we hear that one? 2. NIN-SIM Wahala?? Why is the implementation taking place now? 3. BBN? This one has always been trash. Our youths dey only experience reality when the show don end. The moment we put an end to CRUISE in this country, the government will come to its knees. A country wey hardship dey, but breast and nyash dey trend on Twitter. Funny enough, most of those shouting "PROTEST!" won't show up on that day. They will be online ranting and chasing clout as usual. |
LagosPrince:Foolish talk! When did he defect to APC? Abeg make una respect the dead man. By the way, what about the other Igbo leaders who are not in APC? What have they been doing differently? |
amiradonpipers:Unlike one man I know, Wike doesn't chase clout. Even you sef know. It's just that anything Wike does is being magnified by the media. If you need traffic today, just add Wike's name. Wike doesn't move around Nigeria attending burials, weddings, or Guinness World Record events just to remain relevant. The guy knows his onions in Nigeria's style of politics. |
APOPTOSIS:Post your picture, sire. You cannot be judge in your own matter. |
JagabanB:This is one crazy narrative I have observed. They fail to understand that another name for politics is INTEREST, and that their principal, Peter Obi is merely pursuing his own. You like Peter Obi but I no fit like another politician? Na wa ooooh! |
senatordave1:Fubara would not have won LG election without Wike. Funny enough the people behind him were all against him wanting to be governor. He is officially going to be a one-term governor because he chose to fight the wrong battle. |
fergie001:Do I have to tell you why the judgement went that way? You sef know.😂 |
fergie001:Which one you go obey if na you? Na the one wey favour you wey you go follow. It is a procedural defect for courts of coordinate jurisdiction to give conflicting judgements on an issue. If the PDP decides to conduct the congress, they will be holding on to the FHC. By the way, the Supreme Court in the case of Agi v. PDP & Ors that a court cannot interfere in the affair or business of a political party EXCEPT where the said party fails to follow its own rules or constitution. In the instant case, has the above occurred?
|
givedemwotowoto:In practice, when you're faced with such a situation, you will chose which one to obey. That is the danger of conflicting judgements emanating from courts of coordinate jurisdiction. Dem no born Fubara to go disrupt the congress. |
revived2:Dey play! Na the narrative dem dey use hustle from the West. Will the Western NGOs come to some African countries to present aids when they see us living in eloquence? While some are just unkempt, lots of them do it as packaging to attract Western money. Las las, Na hustle! |
Lastmessenger2:Igbo clown has responded. |
Hahahahahahah! See the kind news wey dey please una.😂😂😂😂😂 Since it's not Wike involved, it's good news. You lots are just pained losers. Pained hypocrites masquerading as true democrats. 😂 You can continue to hate and wish Wike evil as usual, but Wike will continue to triumph over you all! The more you hate him, the higher he goes.
|
GreyWolf01:I feel the same way. |
