What is really wrong with Nigeria. Everyday we complain of the same issues and then at night we just withdraw into our shells, lock our doors and windows; the rich turn on generators and the poor light candles and wonder; and we just expect our problems to sort themselves out tomorrow. The next day the same thing happens, we all pretend, with smily faces, like we are headed somewhere, on the same bad roads; and everyone trying not to let the other in on their secret, taking the other as competition, and every sense of truthfulness and honesty completely eroded in society: love goes without saying.

It hurts, as everyday i wake up and i see our areas despoil, houses all clustered to eachother(SUV beside Keke NAPEP), our fathers, in their rush and pride to build houses, forgot about drainages(talk not of our roads), and structure in the streets; paths have become clustered with bushes; our children have no direction and we youth live in uncertainty; the atmosphere has become extremely porous, all we breath is wickedness; and all we do is build fences to protect our individual spaces, lock our kids and ourselves in our respective cages and pretend like everything is ok. Tomorrow the cycle continues.

What happened to dialogue? Why can't our fathers come together and continue to hold meetings, in accordance with the law, until they can address the poor level of industry, art, manufacture, and commerce in our society, non-invovlement of government. When the world was destroying it self, men came together at Bretron woods and the UN was formed.
We would allocate specific roles to each family towards a common interest of social economic growth and we would, therefore, collectively have something to protect, atleast of a highly greater value than #10000 a family per month; and because it is accountable for our subsistence, and with proper and continous orientation, families will learn to preserve the organisation; and we would collectively have something we stand for, other than football, and something to leave our kids unlike our fathers: what is wrong with this picture?

Whether we like it or not, the family is the basic unit of society. The type of revolution we require, we as individuals cannot achieve. Its high time we began to develop a sense of communism and to collectively strive for the change we want, whether as a region, in our provinces, i do not care, as long as it is lawful.
Civilisation come with society. Egypt is said to be the first to improve and cultivate either manufactures or agriculture owing to the several inlets from the Medditerreanean sea which afforded them inland navigation, and by entension, communication between the great towns, provinces and even the farm houses. We cannot get there if we keep to ourselves.
