Hello, I got my rejection a few days ago for ties to home country and purpose of visit. What can I change when applying next, I now realize my SOP was weak

- Single
- Graduated in 2018, Bsc. Elect/Elect
- Working for a little over a year as a software engineer.
- Applied for 1 year PGD in Computer Science(Originally applied for Masters, was refused and offered PGD)
- Program cost was $CAD 19,200
- Course change is because of career change

Documents Submitted

- Sponsor(My father) letter and SOA with about 9 million naira and USD 12000
- Sponsor's land documents, passport and ID card
- SOP
- Police Certificate
- Bsc. Certifate
- CAQ
- LOA
- My passport
- All the required forms

your summary is very apt. i couldn’t have agreed less . i submitted few documents with my application . but the key elements for me were my finances which was solely in my accounts. no hubby or sponsor and i did a very very detailed sop with a table for my fees and all expenses. needless to say, it worked superbly. so many of my school mates have reached out to me on our facebook page who had full funding and didn’t bother writing sop and got denied.
you need to sell your self in your application .

Some people even attach missing documents after getting medical requests. You can attach a document at any point in your application, as long as such document is integral to your application.

Did I hear you say you submitted only a bank statement with an equivalent closing balance of 3,500CAD with your application? Whilst, your program cost 14,400CAD. Why will you submit such an empty application for the visa officer to reject you?. That's not an ideal step by you!. Please be advised that IRCC requires that sponsor must show proof of funds to cover for the first academic year, this includes the tuition and living expenses of the applicant. More importantly, the living expenses has to be 10,000CAD. In light of this, your sponsor hasn't demonstrated sufficient proof of financial support to sponsor your stay in Canada without recourse to public funds. To this end, your application is at higher risk of getting a refusal.

Pls take note both numbers are not fake..pls say what u know...that message was copied from the Official MTN Scholarship Foundation on Facebook that is been added only by Mr Charlse the MTN Scholarship Agent...you are all advice to wait till month end for alert is on the way..thank u
