My point was the expected spiritual nourishment from a resident pastor was zero. Now, listening to ps Chris is ok. It helps a lot. God has used him to shapen my doctrinal beliefs in many areas. But sir, he isn't all knowing, so I can't possibly grow round about by listening to him alone. Secondly, he isn't all seeing/present. What a local church in Abia is going thru per time may differ from what the branch in eket is going thru. So, to say because I listen to his tapes means am being nourished may not necessarily be true.

I was there for some time. Everything was Ps Chris or nothing! For like 3 years, the pastor in our branch preached the works of Ps Chris. No sermon was devoid of money, sow, seed, faith giving... I can attest that I was spiritually starved of sound doctrine for those years. Members were living lies-giving testimonies only to closely observe they are struggling like mad. Some were literally gasping to survive. Yet, na to hustle sow.
The last straw- zonal church sent us a bill, we must raise 5 million b4 the end of the month. The church was small, had like 4-6 families and most were struggling. The pastor came up and said all he knows is that we must raise that money aany how cos he cant disappoint his zonal head. The zonal head too had an objective to win award for biggest giver or so. I left and never looked back.
And don't get me started in the loose living.

My brother wat us said is absolutely true. But d part of spiritual hunger haba, how manage, even if ur pastor doesnt feed u, do u listen to pastor Chris message at all. I mean does pst Chris only preach only giving too? i have more dan 300 pst Chris messagez wit me now and only 4 centered on giving. the rest are raw spiritual food.

I have been a member there for over 12yrs, i dont actually like everything going on there, but i focus on the word of God from there that has seen me grow so much spiritually. Its not bad dat u left, if u find a church dat would satisfy u spiritually remain there.
