i'll explain to you very shortly by giving you a practical example of what i mean!

A very good friend of mine saw this very cute & pretty Girl while on campus and several thing lead to each other and finally they got on talking terms!
but here was the problem, my friend tried all the tricks in his head for this girl to agree to date him but she refused, and to be very blunt my friend really wanted to marry her and it was gradually turning into an obssession, she was the only thing on this my friend's mind and i was beginning to get afraid for him.!!

He tried begging for her love, sending expensive cards, buying provisions for her, helping out with Academic assigments, Hostel accomodation. etc. etc.
the list is endless of what my friend passed through just to get the heart of this girl, even to the extent of making it a prayer point during his morning devotion.

Eventually, we all guaduated and this girl never agreed to date him not to even mention marry this Guy! so as FATE would have it he got the opportunity to travel overseas and to be gainfully employed there, however the communication between them@this time wasn't any different from the way she treated him while on campus.

Now this girl met another Guy who was her kind of Guy with all the good looks, nice house, car, good family background and a prestigeous Job to go along with it.
and in no time fine Girl and fine boy where already hand-in-hand in a very booming and romantic relationship and all was seeming well, cudoos to this fine lady she had being a virgin all along until Mr. Man of my dreams came knocking & that she couldn't resist and he was the one who dis-virgined her since after all they were going to get married and all was cool and she wished it had ended-up peacefully in marrage.

But unknow to her the were bigger worries ahead, 6mths to her wedding the church ordered that routine tests be carried out by an independent Lab. Tech. and the results were very troubling expecially to this young lady! Both of them were HIV Positive.

at this point she was near sucide, she had being dealt with by trusting blinding this guy that she had being dating! well, unknown to her, she wasn't the only person that he had being sleeping with, there were several other girls out there with whom he slept-with and promised them marrage!

Now it was in this state that she now remembered my friend's number and called him in the name of "that her life is finished, she wants to commit sucide, she has no-where to run too. etc. etc." now she wanted his advice, moral support, the list is endless.

However my friend had never stopped thinking about her since campus days and would do anything just to get back into her good books, so here was the Golden opportunity only that it had a clause, HIV had being introduced into the equation.

While she was naratting her sad experience and how she got infected, my friend patiently listened to all she had to say! following which he proposed to her on the Spot, and to prove to her that he was serious about marrying her he resigned his Job overseas an came back to nigeria took a new job, did his HIV test in her presence and it was negative but he still went ahead, the lady at this point realizing how serious he was accepted to marry him, and so it was they got their parents blessing and the wedding was done!

well, it's a long story with twists and turns but i've tried to bring out the most important things in this very turbulent journey of love my friend passed through and whether it was really worth all the stress??

I think that this lady never really loved my friend or maybe doesn't even love him but rather she is just exploiting him now that her world has turned upside down he has now become the last resort or better still the spare tire, assuming that she did not test positive for Hiv she would never have called him in the 1st place, she'll just simply look for some-one else and start datting allover again.

I salute my friend's courage and all who have had the Stomach to walk through a brick wall with their eye open.!

True Love is rare, what is now invoke is just exploitation under the guise of love by either of the sexes.
And when you find true love treasure it and don't take it forgranted.

NOW Here is what happened,
This lady was so incenced and vexed about the idea of a 2nd wife coming into the house and she couldn't stand it! and as far as she was concerned the was only one option left to her. when it was close to the arranged wedding between Alhaji and his new bride who was carrying a pregnancy that was surpossed to be for him.! The wife @ home one Quiet evening came into the Alhaji's room and confessed to him the whole truth as to how she had arranged with the Doctor in the 1st place, and 2ndly how those two children that he thinks are his children aren't really his children but belong to his best friend! which means that this woman coming from outside with a pregnancy claming him, Alhaji as the father was all a "pack of lies". and that he was Impotent and could never have a child of his own,

Alhaji calmly sat in amazement as to how his entire life had being a dream, well! after she had concluded her elaborate explaination he stood-up and told his wife that he was going out briefly and that he'll soon be back, my dear readers till date that you are reading what i'm telling you, Alhaji is yet to return home, The Children who were in Expensive schools got withdrawn because the mother couldn't afford their school fees, she also couldn't afford to pay the house rent and eventually got evicted, one by one the cars broke down and got ruined because of same reason "no money". Today this woman is living in the true defination of poverty and sadly she is not receiving much sympathy.

One interpretation is if she had kept her mouth shut, maybe her life would have taken a different turn. and instead of being selfish and trying to gain the whole world eventually lost everything! well. off-course her life was spared.

I just hope that God in his infinate wisdom would enable us to make the right choices, decisions and deliver us from the spirit of Error. Amen

I'm a health-care provider(Medical Doctor) and i'm carrying a load on my chest and i'll love honest answers or suggessions from u as regards this topic.
I'm a specialist in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and quite frequently i often meet this re-occuring sad situation,
A pretty young lady about 24yrs of age came to my Gynae Clinic with compliants of in-ability to become pregnant for the past 2yrs & 6months of their marrage! so we got talking and she admited to having done 13abortions before marrying her husband, however b4 marrying her husband she told him that she was a virgin but got rapped @ 17yrs of age during which time she became pregnant and had to abort the pregnancy following intervention of her parents and since then she has being a very good Girl. Now further clinical investigation in that direction showed that both her fallopian tubes were blocked and more advanced procedures would be required, and i wish that, that was the end of the story. but,
This lady is also HIV positive and when she found out, she hid her status from the young man who is the only son of his parents and recently got promoted @ his place of work! sadly this lady isn't wrking and didn't want to miss-out on the chance of marrying this well-to-do young man in his late twenties, both of them tested their status b4 the marrage i.e 7 & 2mths respectively, however what the lady did was to arrange with lab scientist so that she will test negative on both occassions and the lab. technician agreeded to this arrangement.
the lady following the marrage is now on treatment and unknown to the young man he is infected but doesn't know, adding to the already difficult and expensive problem of her tubes being blocked.

The 2nd example i want to give is a more unfortunate one involving a young Alhaji who is a very senior director @ his place of wrk in Abuja and his wife. they had being married for 8yrs with no children and following pressure by the wife he agreed to see a gynaecologist, following Full evaluation of the both of them the problem was from the man, he had no sperm in his ejaculate. so the wife came from behind and met the doctor seeking to know the result, & as soon as she was told that she wasn't the problem! she arranged with the doctor to give the husband a different result showing that he was Ok and was capable of getting his wife pregnant. so on their Appointment day he was told the comforting news that they were all fine and that they can go-ahead and make babies, so this woman now started having sex with the man's best friend and delivered two children for this man, and both these children were males so Alhaji was very very happy and started showering his wife with all manner of gifts put the children in one of the best secondary schools in Abuja and anything she wanted he provided it for her,  and i wish that the story ended here.

But One faithfull day while the madam was at home with the husband trouble came knocking,  A woman came to the house from outside with a pregnancy claming that the pregnancy belonged to Alhaji and seriously insisting, to make matters worse Alhaji innocently accepted the pregnancy as his own since he has two male children already at home a third wouldn't be a bad idea. and Alhaji started making preparations to marry this woman as his 2nd wife, contacted the family of the lady. etc. etc,

Meanwhile the Woman at home knows the whole truth and that the other woman from outside is lying but what must she do now to stop the man from marrying this woman and secure her position in the House of Alhaji,   She did the unimaginable, and mind you it wasn't murder, it was something more than that,

It is becoming clearer everyday that some of the people who lead this country are nothing but vagabonds. Since Tuesday's shameless clash between a group which calls itself Progressives, and supporters of the Speaker, Dimeji Bankole, in the House of Representatives, many people have struggled to find the right words to describe those we call our lawmakers. To say their act was disgraceful will be an understatement. They had acted like hooligans, hoodlums worse than those found at old Oshodi motor park in Lagos or Ariaria market in Aba. All one has to do is watch the tape of the fight and see the tattered clothing of the lawmakers involved, and images of street urchins and vagrants spring to mind. The dastardly behaviour of these lawmakers, a free for all fight which saw four members injured, has a precedence in another fracas which took place in the Edo State House of Assembly earlier in the year, where lawmakers fought with guns, axes - even the symbolic mace was used freely as a weapon.


The latest show of lawlessness and in a House that should help move the country forward, indicates that our country is in grave danger. One cannot even begin to quantify the damage this message from (s)elected leaders has done to our image in the rest of the world. This newspaper has noted in the past that raucousness among lawmakers is not peculiar to Nigeria, but elsewhere in the world such disagreements are for the common interest of the people and no arms or weapons are used; at worst, chairs are flung. Here in Nigeria, weapons are freely employed and one has to wonder about the security system employed in these Houses of Assembly. Worse, the fighting appears to have nothing to do with the deeply held ideals and the progress of democracy, and everything to do with a fall out from the sharing of looted booty and perks of office.


One of the ‘gangster' lawmakers, Austin Nwachuckwu, was arraigned before a court in Abuja for illegal possession of tear gas and for injuring fellow lawmakers. One begins to wonder what the difference is between a lawmaker who premeditatedly armed himself as if going to war and militants, campus cultists, armed robbers, area boys and many other facilitators of violence in our country. Not only that, the perennial accusations and counter accusations of embezzlement and all forms of corruption among the leadership of the House has become sickening. Yet we expect these charlatans to help the country fight the same social ills that they themselves are guilty of.
Two interesting developments have arisen so far: the House has seen it fit to condemn all forms of violence and riots in the country in their Wednesday session. Someone should remind the lawmaker who sponsored that motion, Friday Itulah, that those who set the example for violence and riots are his fellow lawmakers who have behaved like thugs. Moreover, the House has lost the moral ground to advise the nation against any form of violence.


Secondly, the People's Democratic Party met with the Speaker, Dimeji Bankole on Wednesday and demanded that he apologises to Nigerians over the fracas. Pray, what purpose is Mr. Bankole's apology to Nigerians supposed to serve? His involvement with this whole sordid affair demands more than an apology. His role, directly or indirectly, in this mess and the allegations levelled against him by his fellow law makers should be thoroughly investigated, and while that is ongoing, House Order 10, which deals with the suspension of unruly lawmakers, should be invoked on him.
Nigerians need to combat undesirable elements in the House and flush them out. So far 11 members have been suspended and their offices sealed off because of their participation in the fracas. This is not enough. Everyone who is linked to the turmoil should be questioned by the law for their role in inciting this scandalous behaviour. Those found culpable should all be suspended: No scapegoats, no one should be untouchable and no clandestine witch hunting. Every one of the erring lawmakers should face the law squarely. The country can no longer afford to stand by and watch vagabonds in power get fat pay cheques for boxing themselves silly. As Nigerians love to say, "heads should roll" in the House; maybe that will act as a deterrent to lawmakers who think they were there to flex their muscles anytime.

Following a rowdy session instigated by Hon. Dino Melaye and his group, all members of the group were suspended till the end of legislative session. Austin Nwachukwu a member of Melaye group who came in with tear gas that he was using during the fracas was b, eaten and stripped naked before camera for refusing to leave the chamber after suspension. Melaye's dress was equallly torn while Hon. Igwe a supporter of Hon. Dimeji Bankole had his hand dislocated by Nwachukwu after using tear gas on him. Doris Uboh a member of the Melaye group collapsed in the fray and was carried out. Hon. Independence Ogunewe escaped through the back door to escape beating. "The house resumed after order was restored to consider a bill on the Nigerian Customs Service after Bankole had appologised to Nigerians for the action of some of his members.
