Tinubu is a go-getter. Whatever he wants, he finds out the price he needs to pay to get it, and he is prepared to pay the price. He is also very intelligent.

Many presently in his cabinet are not necessarily people he likes. I am certain he dislikes Wike, Matawalle and Ganduje but he owes them political debt for helping him into office. All those he owes debt, he is paying either through appointments, contracts and other means. It is better to have these in your camp, than outside, formenting trouble.

Take a look at El-rufai. He was one pilitician Tinubu did not repay. Tinubu claimed that security reports on him weren't favourable. Elrufai called it horse shit and that Tinubu is the one that doesn't want him. Now, he is leading the opposition.

Imagine what would occur if others like Wike, Mataealle, and Ganduje weren't settled? Wike in opposition to Tinubu won't be funny.

About the coastal road, I see it as Tinubu's signature project to showcase him. He has always been a strong believer in infrastructure development. Yes, the project is not a must but I suspect it would help his 2027 campaign in the South South and all benefiting states..

In addition, the government is set to borrow $24bn. I suspect a good chunk would go towards road rehabilitation and reconstruction.. The rise of ADC will move Tinubu to double down on accomplishments before the elections.

The introduction of Forest Guatds will give him lots of votes if they are able to contain the herdsmen and bandits, especially in the North and Middle Belt.

However, I suspect the 2027 elections would be bloody, just by looking at the antecedents in Lagos. If Tinubu becomes paranoid about the opposition, there might be lots of violence in the 2027 elections.
