We didn’t apologize. It beggars believe why many of you are being mischievous and ignorant at the same time.

Nigerian military airplane was cleared for emergency landing according to international rules by the civilian aviation authorities of Burkina Faso. He is scared because he's a coupist.

British plane landed in emergency inside Russia yet U.K has sanctioned Russia. Nigeria didn’t beg.

He wanted and badly needed that assurance because he is a coupist. A democratically elected government of BurkinaFaso will never be scared of any Nigerian military airplane having an emergency landing inside their country.

It's only a psychopath who will wish Nigeria goes to war with a tiny, impoverished landlocked Burkina Faso.
So APC boys are the psychopaths then....cos you lots were all over Twitter bragging about destroying burkinafaso in 2 hours.

Traore is just being too paranoid. If not for diplomacy, Burkina Faso is too small for Nigeria to handle

Nigeria as a country stopped doing the West bidding while Nigeria herself don't have issue with any country . Why is Traore being paranoid about Nigeria flying through their airspace?
I always knew you are an irrational being.

If you truly don't know the current dynamics and reality and why you can't just fly through another airspace without authorization, then your education is seriously in doubt.

We are not against the creation of Anioma State, but zoning it to South East is the bone of contention here

Instead of Anioma to be a South East state, let it remain where it is.

The sad Easterners can go create their sixth Sad east state from Orlu or Etiti and leave Anioma alone
Don't worry they will zone anioma to south west.

Traitors at Home: Obedients and Jihadists Exposed.
Nigeria's Enemies Within, Celebrating Burkina Faso's Provocation While Our Heroes Return Home.
https://www.nairaland.com/8580813/why-captain-ibrahim-traore-playing

In my previous article, I warned that Burkina Faso was playing with fire by detaining 11 Nigerian Air Force personnel and a C-130 aircraft following what Nigeria described as a precautionary emergency landing due to a technical fault on December 8, 2025. The incident, occurring amid heightened regional tensions after Nigeria's swift intervention to thwart a coup attempt in neighboring Benin, raised legitimate concerns about sovereignty violations and potential escalation in the Sahel.

As of December 17, 2025, following intensive diplomatic efforts led by Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar's direct engagement with Burkina Faso's leader Ibrahim Traoré, the personnel and aircraft have been released. This outcome vindicates Nigeria's commitment to dialogue and de-escalation, proving once again that our nation's strength lies in principled diplomacy backed by resolve. President Bola Tinubu's administration handled the matter with maturity, securing the safe return of our brave servicemen without conceding to provocations.

Yet, while patriots across Nigeria breathed a sigh of relief at this resolution, a disturbing chorus emerged from within our own borders. Certain elements—chief among them the so-called "Obedients" ( ardent supporters of a particular opposition figure) and radical voices from the Northwest often aligned with extremist sympathies—rushed to mock Nigeria, justify Burkina Faso's actions, and troll those who defended our national honor, including this writer.

These internal adversaries gleefully amplified Burkina Faso's initial claims of "airspace violation" and "unfriendly act," portraying our military as aggressors and celebrating the temporary humiliation of Nigerian forces. They spread conspiracy theories linking the incident to alleged espionage or imperialism, conveniently ignoring Nigeria's official explanation of a routine ferry flight to Portugal interrupted by a technical emergency. When the personnel were detained, these voices reveled in schadenfreude, trolling patriots who stood by our country and mocking warnings about the risks of provoking a regional power like Nigeria.

Who are these enemies within?

- The Obedients, driven by blind political loyalty, saw an opportunity to undermine the current administration. Any incident that casts Nigeria in a momentarily unfavorable light becomes fodder for their endless campaign of negativity. They justified Burkina Faso's detention as "karma" or "consequences of bad leadership," revealing a deeper disdain for national unity when it conflicts with their partisan agenda.

- Worse still are the jihadist sympathizers and radical elements from the Northwest, some of whom have long expressed affinity for the military juntas in the Sahel (Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger) that have aligned with anti-Western and extremist-leaning narratives. These voices never miss a chance to wish Nigeria ill, often framing our fight against insurgency as oppression while romanticizing the chaos in neighboring states. Their mockery during this crisis exposed a treacherous hope that Burkina Faso's provocation would weaken Nigeria further.

Make no mistake: these groups do not speak for the silent majority of Nigerians who take pride in our military's professionalism and our nation's role as a stabilizing force in West Africa. Their trolling and justification of foreign aggression against Nigerian personnel betray a profound lack of patriotism. In times of diplomatic tension, true citizens rally behind the flag—not amplify the rhetoric of adversaries or dance on the perceived misfortunes of our armed forces.

The swift release of our personnel and aircraft demonstrates Nigeria's diplomatic clout and the respect we command regionally. It is a victory for unity and strength. But it also serves as a stark reminder: while external threats like junta provocations can be managed through resolve and dialogue, the greater danger often lurks within—those who root against their own country for political gain or ideological malice.

Nigeria will continue to rise above such sabotage. To the enemies within: your mockery has been silenced by reality once again. Our heroes are home, and our nation stands taller. Patriotism demands we expose and isolate those who wish us harm from the inside.

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
