The bill isn't well defined, that's the problem.

What we should have is a bill that scraps state of origin, thereby allowing people from different parts of Nigeria equal access to opportunities like political elections, admission at state uni, etc, not to grant indigeneship to people from other tribes.

See it this way:
-If a Fulani man resides in Aba for 10 years, he can identify as an Igbo man from Abia state... This is totally wrong because the identity of Igbos is unique.

-A Yoruba man from Kwara state resides in Bayelsa for 10 years, now identifies as a Niger Deltan, this makes no sense and most tribes will have their unique identities fade away.

If you are pushing to become an indigene in another man's house, you had better think it twice now. If the bill is passed, we don't want to hear that Fulanis cannot be given free lands for ruga in the SE. Because many Northerners are married to Ibos and have been living in the SE before independence.
