Romance / Re: My Husband And *part 1&2* by zonehit12(m): 8:42am On Aug 30, 2016
I guess you must have read 1 to 7....

: MY HUSBAND AND I (Part cool
Tony knotted his tie whilst sipping some coffee. The night had been terrible, different night mares taunting him, he was awake 75 percent of the night.
He ignited his car, and Lara crossed his mind. Her beautiful eyes that widens when she’s scared was all he could see. He’s been just wicked to her, only God knows the story she’s telling his father now about him.
He changed his gear and sped on the highway.
He knew his father won’t spare him, he would take the company off his hand, collect all he has and worst of all disown him.
“Oh poo!” he rubbed his eyes.
He opened them lazily at first, then they popped out.
A madman was standing on the road before him, just a few yards away. He couldn’t stop the car cos he was moving at a high speed.
He expertly turned the steering wheel moving the car off the road.
The car swerved beyond control, he muttered some quick prayers, he was sure he would die.
The car somersaulted throwing him out through the window…
...
Lara giggled as she bit into her roasted chicken, she was having lunch with her in-laws. She felt joy surge through her veins, what more could she ask for? She felt loved by them. They were doting on her, most-especially her father in-law Chief Ifiora.
“I taught your mother in-law how to cook o.” Ifiora chuckled at her.
“well I taught him how to eat!” Amara said and they all burst out laughing.
Lara watched them as they laughed, they looked so much alike; happy couples she thought as she smiled.
“When I was a boy, I helped my mother in the kitchen.” Ifiora said with pride.
“well that’s cos you liked it.” Amara replied.
“Not at all! I was an only child that’s why!” he defended himself.
“Hmm…Tony Is an only child too, but can’t make himself a mug of coffee.” Amara chirped cleaning her mouth with a napkin.
Lara felt shivers run down her spine at the mention of ‘Tony’, she saw her father-in-law cringe too.
“Talking about Tony…” Ifiora’s voice became coarse.
“He couldn’t even call or do something…he’s expecting me to call him right?” he shook his head.
“I guess so!” Amara made a face.
“Hmm, I’m going to teach him a lesson he’ll never forget!” he basked like a lizard in the sun.
“Lesson? That boy is soooooo stubborn!” Amara said with disgust.
Chief Ifiora’s phone rang loudly.
“A strange number…” Amara said giving the phone to him.
“Hello?” he listened for a while.
“Yes you’re speaking with Chief Ifiora…”
he listened again.
“What?!” he rose to his feet.
Lara stopped eating, she wanted to know what was happening.
“Okay, okay, I’m coming right away!” He ended the call.
“Darling get me my Jacket!” he told Amara.
“What happened?” Lara asked quitely.
“Oh, nothing really, just eat your food.” he forced a smile.
“Ogini? What going on?” Amara appeared holding his jacket.
He whispered something to her in Igbo, for once Lara wished she understood Igbo.
“We need to go now! Lara take care!” Amara said throwing a scarf round her head.
“Can I come with you?” Lara rose to her feet.
“No..you just take care, okay? We’ll be back soon.” Amara said as she and her husband left through the exit.
Lara sighed deeply as she heard them drive out of the compound.
Definitely something is wrongsome where….she fidgeted nervously.

MY HUSBAND AND I (Part 1)

Lara gazed at her full length at the mirror; satisfied by what she saw, she smiled to herself.
She smoothened the hips of her flimsy knee length gown, she loved her hips, its one of her greatest physical asset.
“Hmmm can’t wait!” she told herself excitedly as she oiled her cornrows.
She should have fixed a weavon or plaited some braids as her friend-Deji had adviced, but she isn’t a fan of those artificial stuffs, she preferred to go natural.
“What’s lacking?” she asked her beautiful reflection.
“Nothing more, just to wait for the man.” she chuckled.
Tony, her husband, would be back home, after spending five good months overseas on his so called ‘business trips’.
Their marriage was barely a year, and Tony has spent more than half of it travelling. She hissed.
Their’s was an arranged marriage, she had met Tony for the first time on their wedding day. She remembered how harsh he was on that day.
He had always gave excuses when it comes to making love. He had never touched her, not even a kiss…
The door bell rang, interrupting her thoughts.
“Yea baby! Time for action!” she said excitedly as she catwalked to the door.
“Hey…welcome back home!” she said pleasantly as he walked in.
“Thank you!” Tony mumbled.
She tried to hug him, but he stopped her
“Please!” he raised his hands.
She swallowed hard, plan number one failed. Next plan…
“Emm, why don’t you take a cold shower? You must be tired after such a long journey…, I’d be setting the table..so that …you can eat.” Lara said with a sweet smile.
Tony ignored her, instead, he walked past her into his room.
Lara followed him with her eyes.
What was she gonna do, he still hates her this much. She sighed heavily sitting at the edge of a sofa.
She was lost in her thoughts when Tony’s phone rang sharply. She stared at the phone as it vibrated on the center table, she was tempted to pick it but couldn’t, Tony had warned her severally never to pick his calls.
“Hello Baby?” Tony said into the phone catching Lara’s attention.
“Yea, just arrived few minutes ago.” he said again.
Lara swallowed hard. Baby? Did he just call another woman baby?
“No no no! That’s not true baby, you know I’ll miss you more.” Tony said again.
Lara rose sharply, she felt her anger rose, this was a disrespect to the highest order.
“Yea love, ama call ya later. Okay? Take care sweerie.” he cooed softly before ending the call.
He turned to Lara who glaring at him.
“Why don’t you get me my food, instead of you standing there like a palm tree?” he said scornfully.
“Who is she?” Lara blurted out.
” ‘she isnt your business” He snapped at her.
“Now move your bum into the kitchen!” he ordered.
Lara walked quitely into the kitchen, she was no longer angry but scared. She was scared of something she couldn’t fathom.
Well, she won’t give up, plan number three…
“so do you like the food?” she asked as she watched Tony eat up his food in mouthfuls.
“Your mum told me its your favourite dish.” she added not minding his rude silence.
Tony coughed slightly, gulped down some water.
“Please Lara, let me eat in peace! Do I need to choke?” his voice was harsh.
“But..I…” she looked confused.
Tony rolled his eyes.
“I wonder why this illiterate girl can’t just let me be!” He muttered at the Bewildered Lara.
“Can’t you gerrit that I don’t talk while eating? Didn’t your mother teach you table manners?” he asked angrily.
“I’m sorry.” Lara mumbled leaving the dinning area. Tears clouded her eyes, she looked visibly scared.
Tony watched her leave, he felt sorry for her. He shouldn’t treat her that way, he knew! But he just hated the marriage, he was forced into it by his parents.
She was beautiful and lovable, but his anger has already taken over his heart.
His food became tasteless, he hated to see beautiful girls cry.

MY HUSBAND AND I (Part 2)

Lara sprayed some perfume on her skippy nightie, she walked to her mirror again.
“Hmm yummy! Plan number four on point!” she laughed before proceeding to Tony’s room.
She opened .

Nairaland / General / Whatsapp To Start Sharing Data With Facebook by zonehit12(m): 12:43am On Aug 26, 2016
WhatsApp announced a major change that we suspected was coming today by adding terms that allow it to share user data with its parent company Facebook. This recent announcement Seems not comfortable to adapt but sit tight band read on..hmmm.

Back in January, code showed up suggesting a closer sharing of data between the two companies, and now it's arrived whether you wanted it or not. Privacy advocates will clearly be concerned about the sharing of data between two of the worlds' most popular social services, and the two largest messengers.

Foreign Affairs / Trump Labels President Obama As The Founder Of ISIS by zonehit12(m): 9:48am On Aug 11, 2016
Donald Trump accused President Barack Obama on
Wednesday of founding the Islamic State of Iraq and
the Levant group (ISIL, also known as ISIS) that is
wreaking havoc from the Middle East to European
cities.
A moment later, on another topic, he emphasised the
president’s full legal name: Barack Hussein Obama.
“In many respects, you know, they honor President
Obama,” Trump said during a raucous campaign rally
outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “He is the founder of
ISIS.”
He repeated the allegation three times.
“He’s the founder of ISIS, okay?” he added. “He’s the
founder. He founded ISIS.”
Trump has long blamed Obama and his former foreign
minister Hillary Clinton for pursuing Middle East
policies that created a power vacuum in Iraq that was
exploited by ISIL.
He has sharply criticised Obama for announcing he
would pull US troops out of Iraq, a decision that many
Obama critics say created the kind of instability in
which groups like ISIL thrive.
The White House declined to comment on Trump’s
accusation.
The former property mogul and reality TV star went on
to criticise Clinton, his Democratic party rival for the
presidency.
“And I would say, the co-founder would be crooked
Hillary Clinton,” he said.
The Republican presidential nominee has in the past
accused Clinton of “founding” the group.
Assassination allegations
ISIL began as Iraq’s local affiliate of al-Qaeda and has
carried out massive attacks against Iraq’s Shia Muslim
majority, fueling tensions with al-Qaeda’s central
leadership.

MY FATE MY DESTINY PART 7

The gentleman gave quite a speech because the applause was deafening. "Did you Notice that young man" asked Doris. "Which one" I pretended not to know who she was referring to "the one with the ash suit, mr dimples" I faced her and said "oh now you have nick named him mr dimples" we chatted and joked all the way home. Before we separated to our respective lodge I told her " don't dream about mr Dimples he is far from our league". She laughed and said "I thought you didn't notice".
Life continued for me, God gave me favor everywhere I went. My past became only a sad memory. Aunty christy opened two more business centers and ask me to run one of them. She told me I was good luck but I knew God blessed her because she was a kind soul.
( It is more blessed to give than to receive).
I blossomed into an attractive woman, God made me an envy among my peers. Having excellent grades made me the favorite of all the lecturers. I didn't have time to Date in school, guys were even afraid to approach me. They see me as a nerd. I have a set routine, from class to work and later to church.
Years past without me noticing and at long last I was a graduate of the Amadu Bello university. Aunty christy was there to share my joy. I cried for joy and for my parents who were not able to witness this happy moment of my life.
While waiting for my call up letter to NYSC, My long awaited prayers for aunty christy finally came through. She met the love of her life and she was getting married. I was so happy for her. She has been my rock all this years therefore I took it upon myself to plan her wedding. Her family resides at lagos so we had to travel to lagos for the traditional and white wedding.
Six years ago I left lagos as a young girl. Now am returning as a grown woman. "Did I really want to visit the place that held such sad memories" my answer is No but aunty christy needs me. "So lagos here we come"

What do you think happened next?

MY FATE MY DESTINY PART 8
Lagos didn't change, still the same hustling and bustling. We arrived late at night but everywhere was still busy unlike Zaria that is usually very quiet at this late hour.
We would be staying with aunt christy's uncle, he would give her away since her dad is no more. Her mum was already at the gate waiting for our arrival. The moment she saw us she ran and hugged her daughter, not to long we were surrounded my her family. They didn't seem like strangers to me because I have heard a lot about them. But I was a stranger to them so aunt christy took me round and introduced me to the entire family.
Plans for the wedding was on full gear. I took time to ensure nothing was left out. I focused on the wedding but my mind wandered sometimes to the Badmos family. " How are they doing How is yinka, Has chief come back to Nigeria" I wondered.
One afternoon I decided to visit them. Aunt christy said she would follow me and we went. We got to the house. I could not knock or ring the bell, I was scared. Christy noticed and decided to do it herself. She rang the bell three times before someone came to answer.
"Hello how may I help you" a teenage voice said. I had already turned backwards because I was not sure who would answer the bell. I turned to face the speaker " please am looking for Chief Badmos resident, am I at the right place". He said " I don't know anyone by that name that stay's on this street". He told us to wait so he could ask his mum.
He came back with his mum who explained to us that the former tenant finished their own building and transferred there. " Do you have the address please I asked" she said she didn't have the address. We thanked her and left.
Not meeting the Badmos family was a big to me disappointment because I wanted to thank chief and even his wife for their help years back.
The day of the introduction came. A lot was still left unfinished and I was really busy. I rushed to the market to get some things. On coming back I saw a lot of cars packed outside "oh my God am late" I said to myself. I rushed to go inside the gate to prepare myself for the ceremony.
The next thing I know " I was pushed backwards and I fell.
Who was this person that is careless not to have been careful with the gate. I was ready to give the person a piece of my mind. " Didn't you know you ought to be careful with the gate, you almost killed me"
I looked up and it was mr Dimples.

Don't think you know what happened next. Stay tuned as I bring you more drama

MY FATE MY DESTINY PART 9

Mr Dimples stretch forth his hand to help me up from the floor but I refused. "Have you not heard the word sorry before" I asked, he just smiled left me there and walked to one of the cars parked outside to retrieve what ever he came to pick. I stood up dust myself and rushed into the house murmuring to myself.
" What did you just say" asked aunt christy. " I didn't realized I was talking out loud I replied. All through the ceremony I didn't come out, I pretended to be busy so as to avoid mr Dimples or whatever his name was.
As the introduction ceremony came to an end. Aunt christy called me out to introduce me to her fiancé's family. Standing right beside her husband to be was mr Dimples. " Happy I want you to meet my hubby's best friend Bayo, Bayo this is my sister Happiness"
"Nice to meet you happiness" Bayo said, "you didn't sound happy this afternoon though" he continued. "Oh you've already met her" said aunt christy. " Not really" I answered quickly.
All through the traditional wedding I pretended not to notice Bayo. I didn't understand the feelings he evoked in me. So the best I could do was avoid him. If I see him coming my way I change direction.
We played cat and mouse for awhile until he cornered me at the bachelors Eve. "Why are you avoiding me" asked Bayo. " Why would I avoid you" I lied. "When a woman avoids a man it either means she Hates him or like him" he moved close and asked " do you hate me or like me". " I am... am.. I am sorry I don't know what you mean" I stammered and walked away.
That night I could not sleep, I wanted to ask aunt christy a lot of question but I didn't want to disturb her. "I think Bayo is full of himself...but why do I get shy when he is around?
The following day at the wedding reception I and Bayo sat close to each other, he was the best man and I the best lady. I pretended to concentrate on the event. "You look beautiful today" he said. "Thank you" I mumbled without looking at him. " Ok let me go straight to the point" he said " there is something about you that interests me and I would like to know you better, what do you say" he waited for my reply. "Am leaving tomorrow" I replied, He laughed "that was not an answer" he said. I didn't know what to say so I kept qiet.
The following day the couple went away for their honeymoon and I packed my bags ready for kaduna. When I got outside I saw Bayo leaning on his car. "Hello beautiful am your driver for today, where do I take you". He said. I don't need a driver" I replied. "Come on don't be stubborn the latest couple wanted me to drop you off at the park". I got into the car and he drove off.
At the park he said " I collected your number from christy since I know you might not give it to me. Expect my calls everyday."
On my way to kaduna I realized I would miss lagos or should I say Bayo. I smiled to myself. I liked him after all !

Would this new found love stand the test of time when she discovers a betrayal that happened when she was just 8 years old?

MY FATE MY DESTINY Part 10.

I got into my normal routine as soon as I got back from lagos. But things were far from normal for me. Bayo calls me everyday like he promised, I felt different, I was always on cloud nine. I grew so attached to him in the short time I knew him. My first impression of him was really wrong. He is a good Christian, very caring kind and honest.
We talked hours on the phone, my phone was never far from my reach. We became good friends and our love blossomed. He told me about his stay abroad, and his present job. He also said his family were kind hearted and that they would love me. I didn't tell him much about my parent because I was too young when they died to remember. I just told him few details about my past life.
My life with Bayo in it was fantastic, joyful, interesting and peaceful. The past was gradually fading away until one faithful morning.
On a saturday morning, I decided to clear out some old things from my room to create more space and I saw my dad's office bag. It has been years since I opened it. I sat down on the floor and opened the bag. I saw the same contents as before, some pictures, documents and a bunch of keys. I picked up the pictures. The first picture was of my Mum and Dad on their wedding day. I stared at it for a long time trying to re capture a moment from the past but it seemed like another life time. I flipped to the second photograph, it was my mum's pretty face. I discovered I looked a lot like her.
I went through the entire pictures. Next came the documents.
The file read "MY EYES ONLY" It didn't feel right going through my fathers things but I needed to know the kind of man he was back then so I continued. The first documents was titled "Evidence". The hair on the back of my neck stood up. My instinct told me this would not be good but I continued reading. The documents mostly contained account statements and figures, I would need someone to help me make meaning of it. The last page of this particular document made my blood run cold.
Its was a letter written by my late father.
"I Otunba Joseph the accountant of Butler and shelfied international, found irregularities in our accounts, attempts have been made on my life since then. If you are reading this I am dead. Whoever you are trust No one. But ensure that justice is done. This file contain all the evidence you need. May God help you.
"could my father have been killed for this". Were the police wrong when they termed the case an armed robbery case.
The last document was titled Asset. But when I flipped to the next page all I saw was an address and a name J.P okon. I have gotten a lead. All I needed to do was find this okon. He might have the answers I needed about what happened to my Dad.
If my parents were Murdered for this documents, I would find who was responsible and bring him to justice

Science/Technology / Use Your Sdcard As Internal Storage In Marshmallow by zonehit12(m): 9:05am On Jul 26, 2016
Using the external SD card as internal storage is one of the most wonderful features on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. No more complaining of insufficient memory, low storage issue or running out of space, once you have enough space on your external SD card.

This process will completely shift the app storage burden on internal storage to the SD card, the system will secure and adopt the SD card as its own and hence lift all restrictions as to access from apps.

The instruction below will solve your smartphones low storage issue as it allows the system to install apps on SD card directly (once adopted as internal), even with complete data and obb files. Carefully follow the steps below to get it done.

Note: Original SD card is required, otherwise it won't last long on the device. If you are using the old Micro SD card, make sure you backup all your files and documents.

Education / Lawsan-ucc Protests by zonehit12(m): 5:59pm On Jul 25, 2016
The university of calabar calabar, law student association(lawsan-ucc) took to a peaceful protest at the early hours of this morning.
Information was that students proceeded to the faculty building with blacK and white decrying perceived injustice metted to them..prior to this, the faculty of law building entrance and the library section leading to law students lecture rooms was under lock and key.
Information reaching us is that the perceived injustice was generally centered on issues regarding lawsan election which was cancelled twice on several grounds one of which was irregularity regarding the manipulation of ballot paper. Furthermore report reaching us is that the Academic Adviser to the association(lawsan-ucc) name witheld,.tried to dissolve the eleco that was constitutionally formed. More also a student of the faculty who talked to us in anger mentioned that the final year student including the sole administrator who were active in the electioneering processes are threatened and intimidated that they won't go to "law school", however the veracity of the statements above has not been confirmed. Some section of the diploma students are said to be threatened in the guise that they won't transcend to the main programme, reasons based on the fact that they refused to discontinue their ventures as eleco members
On reaching the faculty building the sub-Dean of law Dr.Adoga Adams pleaded with the students to unlock the building for the purposes of processing the exams for the final year students who their results must reach the Nigeria Law School on or before the 5th of next month being August 2016.
Notably Hon.Jake Otu Enya,a lecturer of the faculty of law being present at time towed the same line with the sub-dean however he added that if the plights of the students are true as they posited, that the faculty board will get to ponder over it.
The peaceful protest attracted the likes of Dr.Egaga(the director academic planning unit),The deputy chief security officer of the university,Asp Abang jelath,Mr Usani(senior surveillance operative ).The SUG President(Daniel Joseph),The former SUG President, comr.Barr.Inaku John.and the director of welfare SUG (Emmanuel Peter) whom all posited that the students should calm down that the university management is going to look into the matter.

Considerably the Dean of law was not around as at the time to say or contribute anything to this issue as well as the Vice Chancellor Prof.Zana .I.Akpagu.

Romance / #my Fate My Destiny Part 1*2*3 by zonehit12(m): 9:29pm On Jul 22, 2016
MY FATE MY DESTINY Part 1.
My name is Happiness Dayo. I am from ogun state. I woke up to my nightmare on december 5th 1996.
"Happy wake up, wake up" dis was the voice of our maid ireti. "Aunty what happend? You sound scared". I was 8 years old but very wise. "Shhhhhhhhhhh she said. Do not make a sound"
She dragged me out of bed pushed me under the bed and told me to stay still. That was the last time I ever saw my dear aunty Ireti.
I heard gun shots and screams coming from the living room but I couldn't move. My little mind told me all was not right. I told my self over and over again "don't move aunty ireti said so"
My world crumbled that day, happiness ceased to exist for me. I was told my parents had gone to heaven. I asked when would I see them again no one gave me an answer.
I was lonely and hungry I asked for aunty ireti dey said she went with my parents and they are not coming back.
I wept and wept and wept. I heard people coming into our house and going out, all talking about the murder of my parents by armed men. Dey all looked at me with pity and dispare.
I was soo hungry and alone and I prayed like my mum taught me. " God my father help me"

MY FATE MY DESTINY Part 2

My mum was an only child and also an orphan so I was moved to lagos to stay with father's. Sister aunty Remi.
My stay in lagos was Hell. I remember the night I got aunt Remi's house. I was tired and sad yearning for my beloved parents. My aunt looked at me and said " your witch mother has finally killed my brother, I warned him but he refused to listen. Now am stock with a useless child like you. I was crying and she slaped me soo hard I felt it in my head " you better stop that noise you are making or else you would join them soon.
From that day I did everything to please my aunt to no avail. She looked for little reasons to punish me. She made me sell things on the street
She registered me with the local government girls school.
I wore slippers to school cause she won't buy me shoes. I beg food to eat during lunch time and after closing hours, I trek hundreds of miles back home.
Through all these I never ceased praying. I didn't forget how to pray. My aunt dose not attend church but I sneak out every Sunday to a church down the street close to our house. Church was the only place I can dance and forget about my pain. I loved music, that was what drew me to church the most.
AT LAST some good news came. After so much sorrow, my life is about to change.

WOULD THIS NEWS GIVE HAPPY A NEW LIFE? Stay with me and find out see you soon again.
MY FATE MY DESTINY Part 3
A letter came in from my school that I had been awarded a scholarship due to excellent performance in school.
I was happy and over joyed, I had something to live for.
As years past on God gave me the strength to bear all the pain caused by my aunt. I was focused I had to be something in life, I will not give up.
My aunt passed away when I was writing my SSCE exams, I was 17 at that time. I was all alone again. She didn't have any children because she never married. I missed her, though she was cruel to me she provided a roof over my head and a place to call home for awhile.
Going through my aunts things when she died I came upon my fathers office bag. All the memories came back to hunt me and fresh tears fell from my eyes. I opened the bag, I saw some documents which I didn't really understand at that time, I saw some photographs and a bunch of keys.
Few weeks following her death, I started looking for a job, I needed food and a roof over my head. Other family members refused to take me in believing that am an evil child that would bring harm to them.
On a sunday after close from church I saw a wallet on floor just outside the church. I looked around and didn't see anyone in search of anything so I took it to our pastor. He prayed for me and thanked me. But before I left his office the owner came in.
The man was really thankful and happy, he opened the wallet to check its content and a

Military Attempts Coup in Turkey, Prime Minister Says.

ISTANBUL — The prime minister of Turkey said on Friday night that factions of the military had attempted a coup. There were sharply conflicting statements about who was in control of the country, a NATO member and important United States ally, which has been convulsed by military takeovers at least three times over the past half-century.
“Some people illegally undertook an illegal action outside of the chain of command,” Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said in comments broadcast on NTV, a private television channel. “The government elected by the people remains in charge. This government will only go when the people say so.”
Shortly after Mr. Yildirim spoke, the Turkish military issued a statement, according to the news agency DHA, claiming it had taken control of the country.
“Turkish armed forces seized the rule of the country completely with the aim of reinstalling the constitutional order, democracy, human rights and freedoms, to make rule of law pervade again, to re-establish the ruined public order,” the statement quoted by DHA said. “All the international agreements and promises are valid. We hope our good relations with all global countries goes on.”
The state-run Anadolu News Agency said hostages had been taken at military headquarters in Ankara, the capital, including the chief of staff.

Military forces shut two bridges over the Bosporus in Istanbul, and fighter jets were seen flying over Istanbul and Ankara. The main airport in Istanbul was reported to have halted flights.
The whereabouts of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Islamist politician who has dominated politics in Turkey for many years and sought to establish a firm control over the military, was not immediately clear. He was not in the capital but there were conflicting accounts about whether he was in the country.
Ilnur Cevik, an aide to Mr. Erdogan, reached by telephone Friday night, said he would not discuss the president’s location because “these lines are being listened to.”
Mr. Cevik said he heard reports that clashes were underway in Ankara near headquarters of Turkey’s intelligence agency. “We’re not really sure what’s going on but there seems to be an uprising in the military.”
He added, “is it anywhere near being successful? I don’t think so. Right now, there is a lot of confusion.”
Speaking to local television, Mr. Yildirim said, “illegal acts of some people from among the military are the issue here. My citizens and my nation should know that any act that would harm democracy would not be allowed.”

Slide Show | Attempted Coup Reported in Turkey A group within the Turkish military apparently attempted a coup on Friday, officials said.

He continued, “the government that the citizens of the Turkish Republic elected, representing the will of the people, is in charge and the removal of it happens only by the decision of the people. Those who did this attempt, who took part in this insanity, in this unlawful act, will pay the heaviest price. I want my citizens to know that we will not be deterred by those kinds of attempts.”
The dramatic events began unfolding late Friday, roughly around 10 p.m., as the military moved to stop traffic over two of Istanbul’s bridges, which cross the Bosporus and connect the European and Asian sides of the city. In the back streets of Beyoglu, in the European districts, bars and restaurants were showing footage on television of scenes at the bridge, while partygoers were glued to their mobile phones trying to learn what was happening.
Since the founding of modern Turkey in 1923 the military has staged coups in 1960, 1971 and 1980 – and intervened in 1997.
The military had long seen itself as the guardian of Turkey’s secular system, established by the country’s founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. But in recent years a series of sensational trials had pushed the military back to its barracks, which analysts said had secured civilian leadership over the military.

A month passed again..I became so close to Annabel ..I found out that she was fun to be with but one thing I didn't really like was the way she looks at me all the time...a day, I had caught her starring at my chest and she told me I had a full round breast jokingly ...hmm I just laughed,I took it to be ladies talk another day she asked if I had a boyfriend and I said no that I wasn't ready to date. She was the first to know that I was a virgin because she had jokingly asked if a guy has slept with me and I said no..I asked her too and she said her ex..hmm I asked who the ex was and she said Raymond..I didn't know if I was shocked or surprised..Ray was a guy I didn't understand.. Today he is so kind and tomorrow he is the most rude person ever...well I asked why dey broke up and she said she didn't know why he just actually disliked her after she lost her virginity to him.."you need to be careful ada" I said to myself. I started avoiding Ray ..and he noticed that I was avoiding him so one day after school he told me to tell him what was on my mind about him and I didn't say anything.. So he just got angry and he stopped talking to me from that day.
***********
Mock exams was starting next week ,so I had to focus and study hard..I didn't let anyone be an obstacle ..I didn't forget the home i came from so I wanted to make my parent proud..
*********
A week passed and we were writing mock...we started with maths and I was sure of 50% and above. I was happy when I saw the question our maths teacher had given us as assignment. I wanted to tell Ray but I remembered he wasn't talking to me..the next day we wrote government and it continued till we finished writing mock ..
********
The term was a week to its end ...we commercial students were done with our papers ..only science and art students had papers to write...so it wasn't mandatory to come to school but I still came. Ray came too putting on black nice long sleeve shirt over his uniform shirt..it looked somehow thick like a sweater but it was fitted..well our class talked about an end of term class party on Saturday in our class room ..hmmm, again I didn't say anything but the class was happy about it..I was happy but I would be busy on Saturday ,not just that, I didn't have anything to contribute...suddenly I started having a serious stomach ache so I sat on my seat till the closing bell was rung..everyone left immediately chatting and laughing..I stood up and walked half way to the door when Ray came back to pick something. We didn't say a word to each other, few seconds after I left the class, Ray was walking behind me before I got to the stair case. He pulled me back unexpectedly and i almost screamed ..he put me against the wall and began to unbutton his black shirt he wore over his uniform.. I was scared ..I tried to move but he held me back and said I should wait..but I didn't want to wait .I still tried to free myself until he finally told me I had a blood stain at back of my skirt....I just froze with shock...I didn't expect my period to start that day ...I was embarrassed but Ray made me feel like nothing happened.. He gave me the shirt to tie and I thanked him promising to wash and return it the next day....
*MY STORY*PART 4
I went to school very late the next day..I actually arrived during break time so the class was empty when I got in ...I sat on my seat and rested my head on my desk..I wanted to sleep because I still had menstrual cramp...I didn't want to come to school but I had to return Ray's shirt as promised... I heard someone foot steps and I raised my head and it was Ray ..I smiled a little but he didn't smile back ...he walked to my seat and dropped a can of malt and meat pie on my desk and said I should eat .....then he took the shirt from my hand and went to his seat ...I thanked him and he said OK...after few seconds, I turned to his direction and he was reading another novel.... It was as if he wasn't in the mood to talk.. I kept the stuff in my bag and rested my head on the desk..and I slept off without knowing
I woke up to someone shaking me lightly, it was Ray.."do you want to sleep till tomorrow? "he asked ..he told me school was over since ...I quickly stood and carried my bag...I needed to go home before my aunt comes back...I thanked him and was about leaving when he held me back and told me to calm down...I was actually panicking...." My aunt"I said and he smiled a little... Why was he smiling now eh? I was worried and he was smiling.... He let go of me and told me to be careful.. I said OK and ran off ..I saw his driver waiting for him outside...I quickly called a bike and mounted on it without even pricing.. I just told him my destination..
*********
I lay on my bed at night...I didn't know why I was actually crying but I knew I was pained..my aunt came back before me and she beat me seriously.. She refused me to eat but I ate what Ray bought..thanks to him..I smiled a little..like he knew I wouldn't eat at home...hmm..what kind of guy was that..he acts as if nothing was happening around him...he didn't like smiling every time and he had a really nice smile ...there was a day I saw him grinning when he was reading a novel ...he looked really handsome and his teeth were white..well lemme tell you about him..Ray was a tall slim guy..he wasn't dark and he wasn't that fair he just had this nice light complexion..he had nice long legs...hmmm...he had a long thick eye lashes but his eyes were always dull..as if he cries everyday but I have never seen him crying.. His noise was pointed and his lips were light and shaped..I just wonder why he keeps been good to me...the other day he came back to pick something like he knew I was going to get stained but one thing I didn't like was the romance novels he always reads....
*******
School finally vacated for the term. It was a three week vacation ...It was a boring one compelled to when I was in the village.. It was always fun with my friends in the village... Hmm. I remembered ikenna,,,ikenna was a guy that asked me out in the village but I told him I wasn't ready to date...he was really hard working....my friends liked to call him my husband...it was funny...on vacation day..we would go to pluck different fruits... Ikenna did the climbing and I did the gathering...I was actually beginning to love him but he left the village to stay with his uncle in Lagos. When he left I cried ...but that was not the end of the world.. I had said to myself

*MY STORY*PART 1
Its been two weeks since I got into that school and I had no friend still, they all didn't want to make friends with me so I just minded my business and stayed quiet all the time..well I got to know that Ray's Father was the owner of the school and he was the most brilliant accounting student... I wondered if that was what made him so proud! Well, that wasn't my problem.. My problem was that they were all bullies and I was the victim..
The maths teacher came in and we moved to a new topic..at least I was coping..though I wasn't really good in maths ,I was average .he taught us matrices ...hmm it was an interesting topic so I liked it compelled to our previous topic which was bearing.
It was break time and all of them left the class as usual.. I was hungry too but didn't have money except my transport fare which was #100..I brought out my Economics book to read but I couldn't concentrate.. My stomach won't stop grumbling.. I closed my book, carried the money and left the class for the school canteen...I bought two biscuits and a sachet of pure water and I went back to the class ..I kept my change in my bag..
Break was over and everyone was in the class eating and making noise except me..then a guy stood up and made an announcement about having a class picnic on Saturday and he said we were all to contribute things for the picnic..hmm...the whole class seemed to like the idea because they were really mentioning the things they would bring, I finished eating and stood up to throw the wraps in the waste bin ...I knew they were looking at me but I pretended not to care. I went back to my seat and brought out my Economics note to read "hey! Why are you in this class?" The guy that announced said to me but I didn't say anything he came to my seat and carried my book and went back to his sit..the moment I stood ,he held the book out through the window and threatened to throw it if I took a step towards his seat and the whole class laughed but I wasn't moved by it..I took a two steps and stopped knowing he meant wat he said so I just told him to throw it let me go and pick it and he did..I had to run down to pick my book
Before I got back a teacher was already in, Mrs Kate our government teacher and she doesn't let any student come into the class once she's in..so I just stood outside. I wanted to cry because I was pained but I felt it was actually nothing and I couldn't cry like a baby because of what my mate did so I let it go.
Government class was over soon and she left..she had given them a note and I didn't copy..I asked Sonia(the girl sitting beside me) for her note and she said she doesn't like giving people her note I asked the other girl beside me Amina and she refused too.
The closing bell rang and they were leaving ..I just sat on my seat..I still felt like crying because they were actually been unnecessarily unfair to me..I didn't even have a friend to talk to..the class was getting empty. That same guy came to my seat again laughing ..he asked how it felt like to stand outside for the first time and I didn't answer...I stood up to leave but he sat me down forcefully saying he was talking to me.."haven't u done enough already..do you want to beat me now?" I asked angrily .He smirked and said he doesn't beat girls then I told him to leave me alone and he said not until I answer his questions. I agreed and told me him to ask..but to my greatest shock, the question he asked was "are you a virgin?" God, I just couldn't believe.. I looked at him, then the three guys that was still in the class..one of them was Raymond and the moment I looked at him he raised a brow at me as if to say "answer the question"
"Its none of your business!" I fired and stood up again, he sat me down again and I shouted for him to leave me alone and he left me..I ran out of the class ..I placed my palm on my chest ,my heart was actually beating so fast..I was somehow scared...those guys can be really horrible at times.
I got home and as usual went into the kitchen in my uniform to cook but I didn't finish cooking when my aunt came back ..that was because I came home late and I was scolded.
*********
Saturday came, it was a stressful and quite one.. I washed a heap of clothes ..it was only my uniform and one of my gowns that were mine, the rest belonged to my aunt. I had gone to market that day to buy thing
*MY STORY*PART 2
After a month,I started talking to the girls beside me. We wrote an unexpected maths test that day..it was tough but at least I wrote something.. Then he gave us an assignment to be submitted after school! I didn't know wat to do ,I cracked my brain trying to solve but to no avail. I asked my new friends if they had an idea and they said they were not going to waste their time solving, that it won't add a mark to their WAEC result and that he just want them to study his subject always. "But you can meet Ray if u don't know it" Amina said..I turned to look at Ray but he was busy solving his own..I didn't know how to meet him..after five minutes I turned again but this time he was reading a novel with his legs crossed like a lady..I stood up slowly,my heart was beating as I walked towards his seat ....I got to his seat and he raised his head to look at me but quickly continued reading his novel"how can I help you?" He asked not looking and I asked him if he could help me with the assignment.. He looked at me and said after school..I told him it will be submitted after school but he didn't say a word to me ..I just went back to my seat.
Few seconds after the closing bell..Ray came to my sit carrying some note books.. he dropped the books on Amina's desk. The class was empty only his friends as usual that were in.. then suddenly they said he should meet them in the school canteen and they left. I brought out my maths note book and wanted to stand for him to sit but he told me to shift a little and he sat...even with the small space ,he still crossed his legs,,well that wasn't my problem... My problem was that I was so uncomfortable and I wasn't getting what he was saying ....you take 3 raise to the power of two to be y bla bla bla bla..you divide through by three...bla bla bla and he was done arriving at 2 as the answer..he asked me if I understood and I slowly nodded ..he told me to solve it on a new sheet and I couldn't.. He shook his head and stood up..he opened his bag and brought out a black maker ..then he cleaned the board and took his time to break it down and I understood... I never knew he could do something like that I told him thank you and he told me to transfer it into my note and submit.. He was actually the one submitting the books. So I finished and put it among the books he carried they were only 6 note books including mine out of thirty six people ..he asked me to walk him to the mathematics department and I agreed ..he apologized for what he did on my first day at school just that he didn't like dullards..I wanted to say something but I kept quiet.. We reach the maths department and fortunately Mr Kennedy was still in..but I waited for Ray outside. He came out quickly and we walked half way to the gate before he diverted to the school canteen and I went home.
*********
The next day was easy going ,I felt so free to talk but and no one made troubles..
During break I,amina and Sonia went to the canteen together...I had #50 so I bought 4 biscuits and pure water..I waited for them to finish buying before we want back to the class ..we chatted while we ate ..I was happy.
After break Mrs Juliana came in and it time for English class, I got pressed ,we were two that raised our hands for permission ,I and Annabel(the girl that asked me to clean the board the other day) Mrs Juliana permitted us and I left wit her following after me..we got into the female toilet, it was a spacious room with six toilet in a line and blue cottons were use as demarcation.. Then there was a wide mirror against the opposite wall..I went into toilet C and Annabel went to toilet D, the moment I raised my skirt and took off my pant to sit ,she raised the cotton and starred at me before leaving it then she said she wanted to see if I had a tissue in my toilet , I said she should have asked first before raising the cotton that way ,I took the tissue and passed it to her..I finished peeing ,washed my hands and stood before the mirror to adjust my uniform before leaving for the class.
After school, Annabel came to my seat...she put a bottle of lacasera and two meat pies wrapped in a tissue on my desk,I asked what for? and she said she came to say sorry for everything.. I said I wasn't keeping grudge but she pleaded for me to accept the little she has for now..hmm...I hesitated before taking them then she pecked me unexpectedly and asked me to walk with her to the gate..I was done so I just put the stuff in my bag and we walked together..we got to the gate and a big car was outside she said it was her driver and she waved me..when she got into the car she blew me a kiss...hmm..I wondered if that was how she behaved ..but the sudden likeness .
