Now we are getting closer to the end..... grin

After all is set and we'll aligned, we join the to main panels together and the two alternate materials together....but there is a catch....

The main materials should be joined totally while when joining the alternate, a space should be given so as to be able to turn your material in such a way that the lining is inside and the main material outside....this is what I mean

Am sorry am unable to show you my sewing, we've got no light and I make use of electronic machine

Anywho, I would try as much as possible to explain myself the best way I can and the real pics would be uploaded later....

The above steps should be repeated for the other side of your zip, making sure it aligns with the other side.

Please note that your decorations should preferably be one-sided to differentiate the front of your purse from the back.

There is nothing bad if you decide to leave you purse plain, I even prefer that...

Moving on, after the attachment of your decoration to your main material then you move to the next step which involves the zip...

This is where things get a little bit complicated but don't worry it quite easy....

The zip is gonna be used to attach the main material to the alternate material such that it is placed in-between the two materials with the right side facing each other....i hope you get what am saying

Now the next step after cutting out all our materials and attaching the stay to the main material is the sewing....

If you desire to design the purse, then this is the best time to do so....

There are different decorations you can use on your purse and they include: buttons, ribbon, beads as well as clothe designs...this is what I mean

From the pix you can see that half the width measurement is used, this is because I folded the material into two to get an accurate cut....
Don't forget that two of your main material should be cut or 4 if you want both the inside and outside to look th same....
If you are making use of an alternate material for the inside(lining), then you use the same measurement for the material and then cut out your air/gumstay.

Hello guys, sorry am late had to take care of a few things, so without wasting any more time, let the class begin....

I got my material and I hope you all do too....

Now we are going to cut out our main material using the measurement; length: 9inches, width 11.5 at the top, and 13 at the bottom because it's gonna be slanty. Here are the pics to explain....

But am sure on this page its gonna be very interesting. There are different kind of bags, the wallet, purse-like wallet, the ordinary purse, the simple tote handbag and the really really complex handbag.

so in this class we are going to start from the very simple ordinary purse and move forward from there....

Mr. ehonda please i really really do need your help. i bought this butterfly 8190 a few weeks ago but am having some issues with the needle. first of all it only makes use of needle with a flat side and in this area that the butterfly needle which breaks easily, this is really affecting my work. second it came with a size 14 needle (organ) and whenever i try using a bigger one (16 or 18) the thread breaks and i cant sew thick materials with this size 14 needle as the needle either break or the thread cut. please i do not know what to do as i have some really important clothes to sew urgently.
