meiloya:Partly, I suppose. B.Tech. Chemical Engineering, M.Tech. Polymer Technology (Master's degree by research). Published 2 articles from my research work in peer-reviewed Journal and presented my work in more than 4 international conferences. 3 years congnate corporate banking experience, as a relationship officer with sound credit risk management practice. Though left banking for masters and currently working in non-financial service industry. That sums up my resume. Your verdict? |

@crowntoro, you have to restart your system after downloading the adobe reader, before it can become active. Try that and see, that was what I did. All the best. |
Follow the link below, it will take you to their career website. Create a profile and submit your application. Good luck. https://global.keystonebankng.com/recruitment/jobdetails.aspx?id=8&app=0 |
@ Calculus12, I got ONLY the practice questions (about 8 each) from a guy on Cadbury management trainee thread. Like I mentioned earlier, its very similar to SHL questions. If you are interested, PM me with your email and I will forward d little material I have to you. |
I got the invite too. Thanks Calculus12 for the great insight. In addition, I think practising dragnetgse practice question will help, though very similar to SHL and GMAT IMO. All the very best to all the invitees. |
Just few months ago, my nephew was born prematurely and looked so tiny. Yesterday, his dad (my bro) was playing with the boy, who is now a grown strong boy, jokingly showing him his picture at birth saved on his (my bro) phone. My point is, its well. Stay strong for the baby and for yourself, I'm sure God that has given u d gift is not ready to take it back. The baby shall grow from grace to grace and from strength to strength; he shall abound in knowledge and grow to be a blessing to this world. |
1.) The Gladiator (I love good classical movies with 'Shakespearian' touch) 2.) Troy (Great story telling with good actors that animate their characters so damn well) 3.) 300 (Great storyline and off-the-hook special effects) 4.) The Last Samurai (Educative and interesting) 5.) The Matrix (Best Sci-fi movie so far IMO; trend setter and definitely, one movie created exclusively for higher minds) 6.) Inception (so crazy in a good way and very mind boggling; another very good Sci-fi) 7.) Oga (chameleon)-Yoruba movie- (The only Naija film that I had to watch for d 2nd time, immediately. A definite break away from the usual Naija movies story lines) These are in no particular order. |
^^^^ Try to check the very 1st page of this thread, I believe it will answer part of your question. Also visit the career section of their website and study it extensively. With the way you are contacted, I'm pretty sure you are being considered for an experienced (professional) position, so follow this link to guide you; http://www.mckinsey.com/careers/apply/apply_now_ep All the very best. |
^^^^^ Check your spam folder, that was where I stumbled over mine after applying. |
You don't have to worry about the actual questions I was tested on, when you get the invite, a practice test which will be very similar with the one you will be tested with will be sent to u to prepare. Its going to be a replica of d actual test, I suppose its one of their past questions; it has answers, tips and explanation of how u determine the right one. You will have about 3 or 4 scenarios, about different clients requesting the services of Mckinsey. This is what comprises of the 26 questions to be answered in 60 - 90 mins. A long passage describing the clients biz and current need, follow by charts, tables and/or graphs, all from which you are expected to deduce your various answers from. Each clients/scenarios are described separately to make up the 26 questions. The key is comprehension and understanding what is actually expected of you to answer. Most of the answer will look right to you most time, its left for u to choose the most appropriate one. Some calculations are there too. All the best. |
@ Greggozo, Mckinsey & co is arguably no 1 management consultant in the world and from my little research, very good company to work with. To say the truth, its very tough getting in, cos their recruitment process is tough, even from their written test stage (mind you, getting invited to write d test is d first hurdle u will have to cross). They opened their office in Lagos (Ikoyi) few years back, so apparently they are still expanding their biz. I will advice u visit their global website (and later check link to their Nigeria office page), study the career section very well, to understand their recruitment process and what they particularly look for on CV. Trust me, just any CV won't get u the invite, check the key things required and include them accordingly. Follow this link http://www.mckinsey.com/ @Omidan21, The correct email is lgs-recruiting@mckinsey.com (note d first letter is 'l' (lower case of 'L')). And about ur grade, I'm not sure what to say, but the point is, you will still have to let the cat out of the bag, sooner or later. I think u will still have to fill out ur bio and info on their career website, ur grade is one info they will require and I believe its best if u r honest with it at that point. Nevertheless, u might still send your cv without ur grade to the email given, but if they eventually asked, please be honest. As for me, I was just checking online for somethings a while ago and stumbled on their recruitment process (knew they came to nigeria few years back). This fueled my desire to research more about them and eventually submitted an unsolicited application. To my surprise, they got back to me couple of days after requesting for more info about me, which I supplied. About a week or 2 after, I was invited for a written test (problem solving test) with a practice test. I went for the test last friday (25th april), saw some 3 other guys. Their office was cool, my kind of ideal place to work and the folks there were really profesional, especially the cute (I mean really cute) chick that conducted the test. Alas, 4am saturday morning, got a regret mail. The test is just 26 questions for about 90mins, but its die-hard logical reasoning, with some element of calculations. I did try my best, but guess, it wasn't enough. It's all good experience though. Wish u guys all d best. |
Hi, I am amazed that you are comparing oil marketing company with NNPC, but it is good that you asked. I don't actually know what their monthly pay package is right now, but as at the last time i heard, it was like 70k . The juicy part of NNPC employment is the allowances that are paid, even starting from training. Rumour has it that, each trainee makes up to about 5 milla after training, which comprises different kind of allowances. Also heard that there is room for different kind of training, Nigeria and abroad as you progress in your career. So you can't base your judgement on just the monthly take home, because that could be misleading. I made it to interview stage the last time, believe me, i was impreesed by their organisation technique and cordination. On a final note, if i were you, i will start reading everything about NNPC and oil and gas in Nigeria and start thinking of an excuse to be absent from work that day. Once again, Congrats and remember to pray harder, cos this is just the begining. Cheers. |
The pay is 25k and in most cases, it is marketing. If it is marketing, you will be given a monthly target(heard it is 50M, but not sure) and a promise of full employment if you do well(meet and exceed target) within certain period of time(i don't know precisely). I hope i have been of help. Good luck. ![]() |
Congrats. please how were you contacted? mail, phone call, sms? I think you should visit their website to study more about the company- most especially the products. Practice general interview question like, "why do you want to work with us?", "how do you hope to contribute to the company?", "how well do you handle pressure?" e.t.c. Study about your field, and review your final year project. Prepare adequately, be compose nad above all Trust God. Then i belive you are good to go. I am still expecting to hear from them too. I work with a bank presently and i am an engineer and i intend moving if i am successful with NBC recruitment. Nairalanders does it make sense? your candid opinion will be appreciated. ![]() |

Hi guys, i did my 2nd stage 2 weeks ago with them after over 1 year of doing the 1st stage. i called yesterrday to enquire about the 3rd stage since i was told i would be contacted the following week. i was told that they will arrange for my 3rd stage soon, but no specific time was given when i enquire further. I initially chose BAS but i was called sometimes this year and advised to change my 1st choice which i changed to Audit. Seunlope, when did you actually start your interveiw stages and how fast was it? cos i am eagerly waiting, not only to be called for other satges but to start work with them. Fellow hopefuls, it is well, God that has done it this far (Imagine me waiting for more than one year, though i now work in a Bank) will surely take us there. I learnt it is one of the best place you can work after oil companies. Ciao. |
I feel u guys.Guyz wat is there to say again except to wait on The Only ONE, Baba GOD. Guyz it is well. We will surely get there. More love and blessing to u all. PEACE |
I just got my Letter of offer of employment with Oceanic last monday. There is nothing like second interview, what comes after the interview is medical test and then you collect your letter to resume immediately. The only set back i encountered was just that i had to wait for like seven months to be called for an interview. so keep on hoping for the best. it's gonna be fine. |
Indeed the good God is wonderful. My brethen I share your dreams as well, that HE shall surely provide not just any job to us but our DREAM job. this will be our testimony this xmas season (do i hear you say amen). Just BELIEVE and TRUST in HIM and HE shall make your dream a reality. more blessing. ![]() |
