The President of the Young Yoruba for Freedom, Adeyinka Grandson, is currently under serious fire over his comment on the recent xenophobic attacks on foreigners in South Africa.

In what looks like demonizing other Nigerians just because they are of a different ethnicity PR tribe, Adeyinka Grandson while preaching for the killings to stop, pleaded with South Africans not to spare Igbo's at all.

In a lengthy video making rounds and without mincing words, he said;

"Yorubas don't do crimes in South Africa, it is the Igbos. whatever you do to the Igbos in South Africa is justified"

This same Adeyinka Grandson who sees himself as a Yoruba nationalist, was last month arrested by the British police for for alleged anti-Igbo and Fulani sentiments.

A Nigerian man is here praising and thanking God for saving him from the unknown after finding out drugs concealed in powder container he was meant to deliver abroad.

In a video making rounds online, the man narrated how his supposed friend gave him the illicit drugs disguised as powder and was still given small money as settlement for inconvenience.

Due to spate of people now getting jailed for the wrong reason once they step foot abroad, he had to change to items for confirmation, lo and behold he found the illicit contents.

Oby Ezekwesili Earns Some Accolades With Her Speech About Xenophobia At WEF

This is an excerpt of what Oby Ezekwesili said yesterday about Xenophobic attacks at the WEF session in South Africa.

The former Nigeria Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, last night came under fire for attending the ongoing World Economic Forum in South Africa despite federal government’s boycott of the event over xenophobic attacks on Nigerians.

Oby while responding to her critics on Twitter, said that those who have genuine concerns about my being at World Economic Forum in South Africa, should please know that my decision to be here was thoroughly considered. I am in South Africa leveraging my ensure that Government of South Africa never again looks away while our citizens are attacked, maimed & killed.

The BBOG convener, during the session while responding to what the young people on ground feel about the situation, pointed out things have gotten out of hand to be treated as mere conversation, that it has gotten to a point where a distinct meeting is to be held to discuss about the free Africa trade or more so sanction South Africa over the attacks.

However, her speech at the ongoing World Economic Forum earned her some accolades both from the audience and Nigerians on social media.

This is a moment Nigerians in South Africa mobilized in Sunnyside, Pretoria yesterday to defend themselves when they got information South Africans were coming to attack ,cause they heard there was a Nigerian drug lord there.

This area is predominantly occupied by Nigerians and is called Abuja in South Africa.

According to SABC news correspondent, one person was badly injured as a result of gunshots by the South African police to disperse them.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested an armed robbery suspect, Wasiu Kamarudeen, 19, of No. 8, Olaniyi St., Iyalode, Ilogbo in Badagry and recovered one locally-made short gun with one live-cartridge from him.

The suspect identified as Wasiu Kamarudeen, 19, a resident of 8, Olaniyi Street Iyalode in Ilogbo was said to have gone to the Jakande open field venue of a three-day retreat organised by the St. Patrick Catholic Renewal Church around 6:20am with three others.

It was gathered that members had contacted the police after sighting a motorcycle carrying three suspicious passengers into the retreat ground.

Although the passengers mingled with the crowd, policemen deployed were able to apprehend Kamarudeen who allegedly had a locally made short gun with a live cartridge on him.

A High Court sitting in Owerri has restrained former Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, from having further access to a property located at Plot 2001c Capitol Presidential layout, New Owerri, Imo State, pending the hearing and determination of the Motion On Notice for interlocutory injunction.

The Presiding Judge, Hon. Justice T.E Emeka- Chikeka gave the Order in suit no:
How/927/2019 between the Governor of Imo State, Attorney General of Imo State, Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning (plaintiffs) and Owelle Rochas Ethelbert Anayo Okorocha (Defendant)
KanyiDaily had reported how Governor Emeka Ihedioha’s task force seized a mansion belonging to Okorocha, that he allegedly gave out his Ethiopian girlfriend.

Justice T.E Emeka- Chikeka on Wednesday restrained Okorocha from accessing the property and directed that the status quo remains like that.

“It is hereby ordered in the interim that the Defendant (Okorocha), either by himself, servants, agents, workmen, subordinates and/or person(s) claiming through or under him be and is hereby restrained; that is, maintaining the status quo as at today, which is for the Chief Security Officer (C.S.O) of the State Government, by name Chudy Ibe, to remain in possession of the subject matter of this Suit, to wit, plot 2001c Capitol Presidential Layout, New Owerri, Imo State; pending the hearing and determination of the Motion On Notice for Interlocutory Injunction”
Justice T.E Emeka Chikeka said the court.

“upon considering the motion ex parte filed on 23/08/2019, brought pursuant to Order 39 Rules 1 (1) and 3 (1) of the Imo State High Court (Civil Procedure)Rules, 2017 and under the inherent jurisdiction of this Honourable Court as preserved under Section 6(6) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; together with affidavit in support and written address, praying this Honourable Court for an Order of Interim Injunction restraining the Defendant (Okorocha) and after hearing M.C Uwasomba, S.G/P.S of Counsel for the Plaintiffs/Applicants with I.I Amadi, Esq, D.D.C.L and B.N Amaghereonu Esq, A.D.C.L, who urged the Court to maintain status quo as at today, which is for the Chief Security Officer (C.S.O) of the State Government, by name Chudy Ibe, to remain in possession of the subject matter of this Suit until the determination of the Motion on Notice”
