When you use your main account to do online transactions

You expose yourself to scammers

My main account don't even have ATM

I just transfer from it to my account I use for ATM and otter online transactions

It's very possible the account used has also been hacked and person atm card stolen which they will use to finish the job.

Or they can continue transferring until they get someone's atm card to use withdraw.

Funny enough, they may even withdraw cash from POS freely after transfer from a hacked account.

All digital banks have upgraded their verification to using bvn & NIN. Even if u decide to open account without bvn & NIN, there is a transaction limit. You can't receive more than 300k in such account & u can't send more than 50k per day

They still use old innocent women's NIN and BVN to open accounts. The "Cecilia Okoro" is certainly not a woman but a young boy somewhere who used her identity to opened the account and he is running it smoothly without the real Cecilia being aware of such account.

You set your own limit depending on your cash flow and the type of account. You can't impose your own limitations on other people, That one million naira you see as your own limit might be the cost of someone else's dinner, or their hotel room..

The mindsets of the ordinary citizens are so myopic that that I don't think Nigeria can change for the better. If a nation is to change for better, the citizens must be ready to fight corruption but you see Nigerians ehn, once they see little cash from the corruption, they would be supporting it with their lives. It's only when the corruption doesn't favor them that they would start lamenting but even with the lamentations, no action.

The IT department of the bank needs an upgrade. What happens to constraints, at least 24hrs before such an amount is debited. Finally didn't I hear that transactions over 1M should be done inside the banking hall or is she living in another planet within Nigeria?

my daily limit is 5m for all my bank accounts. You can approach your bank to increase the limit for you if you do heavy transactions.

You can upgrade the amount of withdrawal or transfer upto N5 million or even more depending on the type of account pay day on your bank app by applying for it at the bank.

I know how these guys work.

Firstly they create fake loan offers with very low interest rates on social media platforms, then whoever get tempted to take the loan will provide all vital informations they required, once you provide those information they'll use it to open bank accounts on different mobile banks... Those accounts is what they use for scamming.

I thought phone numbers are linked to NIN? Online Banks send verification messages to potential account owners for verification na or are you saying those guys hack text messages too to complete the verification exercise before the account is granted?

Biggest mistake people make is putting large money on their ATM card. You can have two accounts and transfer small money in your account that has ATM card for use only. There,you will have peace of mind even if such happens. Except they kidnapped you and force you to open your bank, that's the only way big money can leave your account .
