PoliticsRe: 7 Reason Why People Loves Jimi Agbaje by 0coded80: 6:53am On Apr 10, 2015
phaulzoe:
As the build-up to the election continues, the momentum is swinging more and more to the underdog, Jimi Agbaje. It is pretty easy to see why as the down-to-earth politician is a rare breed.

Jimi Agbaje
Below are seven reasons why everyone loves Jimi Agbaje and why the JK is OK movement is garnering a lot of followers by the second.

1. He is Smart:
Jimi Agbaje is unarguably one of the smartest politicians around. This is even more evident when you hear him speak. He is articulate and one of the best public speakers in the country.

2. Clean Hands:
Unlike most politicians, Jimi Agbaje has never been involved in any graft or scandal which makes him a role model of some sorts to aspiring politicians, considering that politics is usually considered an exercise to get one’s hands dirty. Jimi Agbaje is a far cry from the regular Nigerian politician and his track record in the private sector speaks for him.

3. Jimi Agbaje has a history of fighting for a better government:
JK’s political genesis can be traced to the aftermath of the 1993 presidential election. According to him, he saw the annulment of the result as an insult on the Nigerian people and got into politics to change the status qup. Over the years, Agbaje has been involved in a number of resistance movements seeking for a better society. This informed his early rapport with notable figures like Pat Utomi, Dr Ayo Ighodaro, Asue Ighodalo, Billy Lawson, Oby Ezekwesili, Tola Mobolurin, among others. It is widely belived that the equitable society Jimi has always sought after will be easily realized if given the mandate.

4. He has a rich professional resume:
Asides currently sitting on the board of a number of renowned companies, Jimi Agbaje boasts an illustrious resume. From 1987 to 1990, Jimi Agbaje served as National Secretary of Nigerian Association, General Practice. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Agbaje held various professional appointments which include National Chairman of Nigerian Association of General Practice Pharmacists. From 1994 to 1997, he served as Chairman of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (Lagos State). He also was Chairman of 1994 National Conference Planning Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria. In the year 2000, Jimi Agbaje served as the National Treasurer of Afenifere, more proof that public funds are indeed safe with him.

5. Jimi’s manifesto is compelling:
Have you seen and read his manifesto? You should visit his website www.jimiagbaje.com and see for yourself. His ideas are plain for all to see and are driven towards the development of Lagos. Anybody who sees that manifesto and doesn’t throw his weight behind Agbaje’s bid must not love Lagos and Nigeria at large.

6. He is an enviable father and husband:
Jimi Agbaje met his wife Abiola Agbaje (Bankole) at the then University of Ife (now University of Ibadan), and has stuck with her until now, with their three children. Unlike most randy politicians, Jimi is known as a loyal husband which has seen him carve a niche as a loving family man and many are testament to his fatherly responsibilities.

7. Jimi is the Change Lagos needs:
For the past 16 years, Lagos has been ruled by a single group of people/persons although their name has changed over time, they are still the same set of people. Considering the fact that there has been a change at the Federal level, Jimi is looked at by many is the change that can be seen in Lagos, given the wanton mismanagement of the state’s vast resources, human and otherwise.
u forgot to add this
8.jimi agbaje is a true indigine of lagos from ikorodu while is opposition(akinwunmi ambode) is a indigine of ilaje ondo state, he had to denounce it true state of origin, to be able to contest for the post

AS FAR AM CONCERNED, OBA OF LAGOS DESERVE NOTHING ELSE THAN TO BE DETHRONED.
----------------------------------------
YORUBAS, are very intelligent race, just as IGBOS are very unique and intelligent race too,. So no wonder YOUTHS From both Tribes condemned the DISGRACEFUL, CONDEMNABLE And ARONGANT Statement credited to The so called OBA OF LAGOS Last Easter Sunday. ..
IGBO LAND
In Many IGBOLAND We give KINGSHIP To people who are well educated or experienced, so as not to Disgrace the community. That is why professors, PhD holders, and BSC holders are been allowed to be the kings in IGBO LAND. Today we can boast of people like, Prof. Achebe Obi of Onitsha, Prof. Laz Ekwueme igwe oko, Prof. Orizu igwe of Nnewi, Prof. Gibson Nwaosu igwe Awka e.t.c. And that is why they are all been respected not just in the Country but all over the world.. ..
LAGOS.
No one should doubt the fact that LAGOS is the biggest and largest Metropolitan City in the whole of AFRICA. This City accommodates people of different tribes and people from different countries All over the world.
Therefore, it is assumed that the person who should man the affairs of the CUSTOMS and TRADITIONAL institute of such a big city, must be Educated, Experienced, Patriotic, pragmatic, and God fearing.
EASTER COURSES.
Last Easter Sunday, was a very disappointing one to so many Nigerians when The so called, revered OBA OF LAGOS choosed Easter Sunday to lay Courses on IGBOS living in LAGOS state. The OBA even Bragged that he owns Lagos, but he forgot that the same IGBOS He layed course on Easter day , Contributed about 60% of the Investment in Lagos. Why would the oba threaten or even force the Igbos to Vote for his Hand picked Stooge Akinwumi Ambode instead of the Erudite, Experienced Jimi Agbaje (JK).
IGBOS ARE NOT IMPORTANT.
I taught they said igbos are not important,. I Taught Fashola deported the Igbos because they are constituting Nuisance in Lagos. I taught they said that we are small and therefore, our Vote does not matter... who told Oba that Igbos can can be frightened, Hahahahaha. Why would they Resort to threat when they have told us that we are destroying Govt Infrastructure and that is why they close down our Markets (Ladipo)every months.
Well I believe that the OBA have ended up Campaigning for JIMI AGBAJE (JK WE KNOW).
AS FAR AS AM CONCERNED OBA OF LAGOS DESERVE NOTHING ELSE THAN TO BE DETHRONED...
NDI-IGBO Are not cowards. Nothing will deter us from VOTING the best candidate...
JK we Know.

We have come to the era of no respect for any party name....and we can never be fooled while we can see,a man private company is Lagos and a vote for such man's son Ambode is a vote for continuity of syphoning of Lagos funds to a man,we are tired of lastma, agbero collecting tolls that we don't know what such funds are used for?and yet we still av bad roads in our major streets, even though APC is a good party we are able to identify that this time around we need change in Lagos...we cannot continue with toll gate fraud that will still be running for 20years,we cannot continue to pay direct and indirect tax without getting any tax return at the end of each year,we cannot continue to be seeing affordable housing scheme on the pages of newspapers and ordinary lagosians cannot enjoy it...we are tired of 16years of slavery and enriching a single soul....no sympathy about it we have to change Lagos because it is due to be change enough of lasma torture.....lagosians wise up this is not the time to pity a party and put yourself and family into slavery....votefor change vote JK.if apc want me to vote for apc let them take jimi Agbaje as their candidate...jk we know jk we trust.
PoliticsWatch Your Words, Ohanaeze Tells Oba Akiolu by 0coded80(op): 7:14am On Apr 07, 2015
The Igbo resident in Lagos State have protested the statement credited to the monarch of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, and published in national dailies, in which he threatened them with death if they vote against the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode in the April 11 elections.
In a statement, the Liaison officer of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, South West, Chief Thompson Ohia, described the royal father’s utterances as loose cannon that could set the state ablaze and reverse the peace and tranquility that had so far been gained since the last presidential election.
Ohia, who is also the Ugwumba Ndigbo, said such statement coming from a royal father, who once served the nation in the Police Force and rose to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), exposed his ignorance of the complex nature of Lagos State, which is referred to as mini- Nigeria because of the presence of all ethnic groups in the state.
Describing the Igbo as peace loving people, who have contributed to the development of the state, Ohia said Oba Akiolu’s statement amounted to betrayal of the trust and respect that Ndigbo have for him.
He reminded the monarch that while it is true that Lagos belongs to him and the Yoruba, the Igbo were stakeholders and had come to be a force to reckon with in the state, adding that as good citizens, who believe in the Constitution of Nigeria, they would continue to be law abiding regardless of the extent of provocation.
The Ohanaeze chieftain attributed loss of some federal constituencies to the PDP, to the bad policies of the APC-led government, which has impoverished Lagosians in the last 16 years. “When they increased Lagos State University fee beyond the reach of the common man, demolished houses and stalls built by non-indigenes, with impunity and treated Okada riders like criminals, they forgot that such obnoxious policies would backlash in the future,” he said. Ohia urged Ndigbo to ignore the Oba’s threats and cast their vote according to their conscience for the candidate of their choice.
Advising the monarch against setting Lagos ablaze through unguided utterances, Ohia urged law enforcement agencies, the United Nations and the International Court for Criminal Case (ICCC) to take note, even as he advised the monarch to retract his statement.

BOMBSHELL: Oba of Lagos reads riot act to Igbo
Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, on Sunday read the riot act to Igbo leaders and monarchs in Lagos State, warning that he would make life miserable for them if they sabotaged efforts to ensure that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, is elected as governor of the state.
The visibly enraged monarch, who summoned all the Eze-Ndigbo in Lagos State to his palace, said the support of their kinsmen for the opposition party in the state could frustrate current efforts in all quarters at ensuring Lagos is no longer in opposition with the Federal Government.
He said: “On Saturday, if any one of you goes against Ambode, who I have picked, that is your end. If it doesn’t happen within seven days, just know that I am a bastard and it’s not my father who gave birth to me.
“By the grace of God, I am the owner of Lagos for the time being. This is an undivided chair. The palace belongs to the dead and those coming in the future. On Saturday, if anyone of you, I swear in the name of God, goes against my wish that Ambode become the next governor of Lagos State, the person is going to die inside this water.
“For the Igbo and others in Lagos, they should go where the Oba of Lagos heads to. When they were coming to the state, they didn’t come with all their houses. But now they have properties in the state. So, they must do my bidding. And that is the bidding of the ancestors of Lagos and God.
“I am not ready to beg you. Nobody knew how I picked Ambode. Jimi is my blood relation and I told him that he can never be governor in Lagos for now. The future belongs to God. I am not begging anybody, but what you people cannot do in Onitsha, Aba or anywhere, you cannot do it here.
“If you do what I want, Lagos will continue to be prosperous for you.
