Couple of weeks ago, i opened an account and uploaded my CV on Supertube NG website for possible job placement and just yesterday i got an e-mail from the company indicating that i have a job offer purportedly from Etisalat. When i clicked on the mail to access its content, i was taken to a page on the company's website directing me to promote my profile before i could access the content of the job offer. I immediately clicked to promote the profile as directed only to be requested to pay N3,500 to a designated bank account before i can access the job offer. house pls, how genuine is this?. has anyone done this before? or is it another scam in the making?.

Guy...I have thesame issue wit urs buh mine has been different job offer. From different company .....I have refuse to make such payment cos employees should not pay for employment offer bib if anyone has make payment of such to secure employment should inform d house .

i also received the same msg from them that i have job over from etisalat when i clicked on the msg i was told to buy access code(1500-10000) that i shd pay to one GiBiT account....this must be scammmmmmm

Well, we cannot be too sure its a scam, until we give it a try. I got d same mail yesterday and i paid 1k into VT Network's acct in GTB, just to get a passcode. Thereafter, i was given a passcode to enable me view d test questions n answer them. 20 questions in 40 mins. After submitting my answers, they said they would contact me via fone if i passed. Meanwhile, i didnt border about d upgrade. "If na 1k dem wan chop, no wahala! Make dem chop"

Were you given the passcode at the bank or it was generated via the website for you to access the questions?

It was sent to my mail. When i paid, i filled d details of payment in d website, then after some minutes they sent d passcode to my mail. Just chill let me get d feedback of d test, then I'll advice u whether to pay or not. So dat we'll dont make d same mistake

Pls waitin 2 know if its true cos it seems supertube has sent dat job offer 2 evry1 on their site.

Those guys are big scammers.....I would advise that you ignore their mails.I was always paying money into their GTB account to get the code & I also kept updating my profile & doing their test to no avail..Thank God dt I have gotten a job ..they still keep sending me mails of jobs I av gotten that I even cannot recall applying for.I had to warn them to stop sending me dose mails or I wuld impicate them.Buh if u av enough money u can continue..

@ julieccentric, thank you for contribution. it's quite sad and unfortunate how unsuspecting job seekers are duped in the course of job search by unscrupulous elements. Other forumites with similar experience should contribute to this thread so that we can collectively expose this criminal practice.

Thanks juliecentric! @least i kw better now. Its just 1k, so let them enjoy. Painful tho! We need to find a way of exposing those berstards! And to think that they even have an account in a Nigerian bank, which they use for their fraud!

I also being getting same mail. I sent them a mail trying to confirm their authenticity but they respond. If u must ask me its a big SCAM with the letter S. So ignore them.

I received a mail frm them tellin me a highly placed oil n gas firm needs my service but when i tried to access d link,they asked me to obtain an access code for N500/mth or N1500 which i av nt done though, i av also put it to d house to find out if it is real,i'm thinkin it's a big scam,we jst av to expose these huge criminality .....

PLEASE DON'T BE DECEIVED, THEY ARE SCAM O. A FRIEND OF MY WAS THEIR VICTIM, PLEASE BE GUIDED. MAY GOD HELP US ALL

Since this purported Supertube has bank a/c wit GTB, it simply means that its contact address is with the said bank database. And it simply means that Supertube can be investigated, and if culpable, justice should be accorded it or be allowed to face the wrath of the law. But, who will let the cat out of the bag? And does Nigeria govt ignorant of this unscrupulous practice amongst others? This can't prevail in advanced countries for so long. I'm sure of that!

Since this purported Supertube has bank acct wit GTBank, it means, they can be investigated by appropriate authority. Buh, who wil let the cat out of the bag? This unruly practices cant prevail in advanced countries. I'm sure of that!

I also received a similar message yesterday telling me I have invitation(from an oil & gas company) to write aptitude test online, not without payment for passcode! I cannot remember applying through them, so that gets me suspicious. A close look at their site and their letter points them as been a scammer! Reasons:
1. Their letter, the sender identifies himself as "HR" without any proper address against usual etiques. Their address is not detailed (gave only street name without number- saka tinubu, V.I.)
2. A closer look at their site revealed that it is hosted on free server (webs.com) which is against the standard they claim to have. Free servers operation are not reliable as the server can go offline anytime.
They are nothing but scammers, so beware dont allow a foolish fool make wealth out you!!

And I wonder why u all, their victims cannot do odas good by reporting dem to d police, efcc or a like....
