Selfish Northern Governors Meets Again***
*Agreed on: No State Police, No Minimum Wage Payment, More Oil Money - Northern Governors. - Garba M. Ahmed

The meeting of the 19 Northern state governors that was held at the Niger State Government House, in Abuja ended with these abridged communiqué.
**demanding more oil money to their states.
**continue dialogue and exploring avenues for peaceful resolution of the insecurity problems.
**argued against a national minimum wage, adding that each state should be allowed to determine what it could afford to pay its workers.
**disagreed with the call for traditional rulers to be given any constitutional role.
**insisted that the six geo-political zones should not be enshrined in the constitution.
**no to creation of state police.
**want governors to control police commissioners in their states.

It was a great meeting for our governors, as there was no mention of their putting more effort in Agricultural production in the 19 states in the North. Knowing that Benue, Kano and Maiduguri alone can produce enough food for the whole country and this will mean more money to the states.
*The governors made no mention of the shocking disasters happening in Zamfara state where the pupils in the state are moving from one tree to another for their lectures.
*A state ravaged by poverty and corruption, with about 52% of their civil service been revealed to be ghost workers, especially those working in the Governor's office. A group that claims corruption free attribute and fiscal conservatism.
*No mention of Gombe NECO results where only 17, out of the 18,000 secondary school students passed their examination.
*The Governors did not see it as alarming, the 24% reduction in primary school enrollment in North Eastern Nigeria. This problem in more in Bauchi and Adamawa State.
*A son of one of the prominent politicians in Bauchi over the week foolishly posed in a picture, where he was laying on hips of money worth over N4billion.
*Two sons of PDP National chairman, were involved in the alleged subsidy fraud that runs into Nbillion. These monies will be enough to give scholarship to all the undergraduate students from the North East for a couple of years in their various Universities.

Yet our zone is the poorest!

They see these developments as unimportant, but rather asking the National assembly for more power to them as governors and more oil revenue from the federation account.

Is the North Cursed by these evil gangs called Governors, that only reason from the sides of their pockets.
When will the North be governed by men and women that fear God and understand the heartbeat of an average Northerner?
How long will our people be held in these bondage, mental slavery and leadership from heartless looters.

For our 19 governors, is it not time, to allow the North to grow like other parts of Nigeria, and releasing these painful grips of hardship and deprivation on the people? - Garba M. Ahmed, Wulari, Maiduguri.
